We've only used this a few times to watch DVD's but it seems to be a quality product. We also used it to copy a VHS tape to DVD and it did a great job!

Great product. Easy to work. Was able to transfer over 20 old camcorder tapes to dvd. Saved a lot of money by doing it myself. NY Camera wanted over $600 to copy just 20 of my tapes. Would definitely recommend buying this.

A dvd and vcr that actually records and plays back. I bought the only one in stock and would have bought more had they had any. I'm so disappointed the manufacturers have decided that people don't need recordable devices any longer.

I am not technologically savvy, and I was able to set this up and watch movies with my grandson. It was very use friendly. We have a lot of home video VHS tapes and are in the process of transferring them to DVD. This will reduce the storage space immensely and we are told, the DVDs last longer than the VHS tapes.

This product works well. I tried transferring my vhs tapes to dvd and it works well and the picture quality is great. So I can transfer my old vhs tapes to dvd which is good so i will have better quality on a dvd. And dvd's will be easier to manage than vhs tapes. It is useful because I can transfer my home videos to dvd and edit whatever parts we don't want.

I have some old VHS tapes which I still would like to enjoy. This DVD/VHS combo player fits the bill. Asked a few questions about connections with the very helpful Best Buy staff and successfully hooked up to TV and cable box. VHS tapes and DVDs play well. Tested writing to blank VHS tape but not to DVD. Also, did not convert any VHS tape to DVD yet. Very happy with this unit.

I was NOT able to get it to work using a digital to analog conversion box. I hooked it up every way shown in the instructions. The TV is is about 15 years old with a great picture and sound. It works well with one of wy newer TV's. I would recommend for newer TVs only.

This item will record both ways all I have seen in the past would only record one way and they cost a lot more than this one it is a great product for the price.

This recorder plays VHS and DVS. It is quite easy to use. I have transfer around 15 VHS tapes to DVD and its picture quality is acceptable. It says it is up to 1080p which is not at that quality level.

I bought this VCR to DVD to save all of my keepsake videos of my late husband . This did every thing I needed it to do with No trouble at all once I got it hooked up . I am so happy to get these tapes onto DVD and never have to worry about them being eaten by a machine . Thank you so much for your assistance at the store to make the right decision ...I am thrilled with this whole experience with Best Buy and my new recorder .

This platform is as good as my Sony which died after 6 years. The picture quality is outstanding and dubbing is easy. Really good unit especially for the price.

I had a VHS tape that was broken and barely hanging in there. Some priceless tour footage of my band was on there and there was no original master recording left. I was amazed that this thing just handled that tape like it was brand new. It was easy to use and I'm happy with the quality of the output. I think for $250 they could have added more features, so that's why I give it a 4.

Instructions are easy to follow. Great for recording vhs tapes to dvd. I wish the record button would light up as device is recording.

I wanted to transfer VHS tapes to DVD and this machine makes it easy. The HD upconversion makes it even better. Would recommend.

This unit worked great right out of the box! Very easy to setup and picture quality is very good. Nothing fancy, but it works well and goes good with my other components. Would definitely recommend.

I used this DVD-R/RW/+R/+RW Recorder/VCR Combo with HD Upconversion to convert my 8mm vcr home video to DVDs to playable in my DVDs players. It has a lot of features to create titles and categorize dvds so that it was easy to organize home videos.
