The player has a vey good picture and is easy to set-up and use. The only drawback is the display on the player itself. The display will only show the chapter number, not the running time. It is a minor negative, but if one likes to know how long the movie has left to play, you will have to press the display button on the remote so it will show on your TV screen. The directions state on some DVDs the time will show on the player display, but I have not played a DVD yet that will. The price and picture, however, make up for it and I would buy a second one if it were needed.

My brother brags all the time about his stupid blu-ray player. I hate it. I don't want to buy a blu-ray. I don't want to have to buy special DVDs just to get the quality. So I though I would buy this one. Well...I was right. I get just about the exact same picture quality as he does. And I didn't have to pay a fortune for it. We really like this player. It was so eay to set up and the movies look awesome on our HDTV. Our 42in HDTV...brother. Our tv is bigger than yours....so ha! Sorry he may read this. Only one drawback.....I tend to pause my movies reguarly. If they are paused too long, the dvd player does power down resulting in a loss of where I was. I have to reload and then find out where I left off at. I understand why it does this, but I just find it annoying. I just have to remember where I left off in case I forget to go back and finish watching the dvd. This is a refurbished product. I do not care. We have a few refurbs of other products here. So I am not too worried. And so far...so good. We have had no problems...at all.

Easy set up out of box and easy to use. I've never had the privilege (?) to view the heralded Blu-Ray, but I don't think I'm missing much. Great quality picture. And a hd cable too? Wonderful. I may get another.

This unit Upconverts DVDs to near Blu-Ray quality on my 1080p TV and produces a wonderful picture and sound and works well with my Coby 5.1 Surround Sound speaker purchace.

The purchasing process was intuitive, the delivery was speedy, the hookup and setup was timely and great. The picture and sound are outstanding and the price was very competitive. What's not to like???

I would highly recommend this product to friends and family. I was amazed that i could purchase such a great refurbished item on line. And not only does it have a clear picture it also looks great.

Cheap price, fast delivery, easy setup and connection with the hdmi cable. Hard to believe at $34.00

This product did not work out of the box. The DVD tray would not open. After reviewing the return instructions, which were not so clear and looked difficult to accomplish, I decided to open the unit and inspect the problem. The DVD player itself was not installed correctly. So 18 screws in and out later, the unit worked.

So far I have been very pleased with this purchase. I was a little nervous buying a refurbished product, but we haven't had any problems!

I thought since his product had been refurbished that the factory would have gotten the problems repaired. I was wrong. I would never buy another Toshiba product.
