My old laptop stopped working all of a sudden. I needed to make a purchase immediately without breaking the bank. I went to Best Buy and the Toshiba met my needs and was affordable. Since this was an unexpected, emergency purchase, I wanted to ensure I got a good deal without overspending. I accomplished it with purchasing my Toshiba laptop.

This would have been my second Toshiba. I have an i7, it works well. This computer had 3 keys that would stick...right out of the box. We had a problem with it holding the wifi signal, our other computers don't have this problem. The curser would jump around when touching other parts of the key board surface, even after changing the touch pad sensitivity. To top it off, Toshiba's warranty is only on parts and not on labor and that is odd. Labor is expensive. The company doesn't stand behind their product.

My Toshiba Satellite laptop is wonderful. It has a full size keyboard, huge screen, it is so fast compared to my old Asus notebook that there is just no comparison. The price at Best Buy was unbelievable. I would recommend this computer to anyone.

Got this for very basic use - email, internet browsing mainly. Wanted a large display screen, which this has. It doesn't seem to run slowly or lag. We did have most preinstalled programs removed, just because they won't be used. Haven't found out how long battery last as we haven't had it for long, plus it's generally on a desk plugged in. It's pretty large if you are going to be carrying it around or traveling, but the large screen size was our main criteria.

I needed a new laptop for work with Windows 8 and a large screen. There were only a few in the store (I couldn't afford the time needed to buy one online). This was a store display model, which had everything I needed. I was able to buy it a great discount. The store's sales associate was great help; and the Geek Squad had it cleaned up the next day. I really like the larger keyboard and screen for my work needs. The speed is excellent. The keyboard had some areas with greater tension, requiring harder strokes to register some of the keys. I assume that is because this was a store model which got more use on some keys than others. The last 2 weeks of use have equalized the tension needed for ease of use, though. Overall, I am very pleased with the product and with Best Buy's customer service and support.

I purchased this for my small business. I use it on the go and take take it from office to office. I have had no issues at all. I am old school, though, and I don't like Windows 8, but I'm learning. This is great for the price.

I think this laptop is great.The screen is huge and perfect to watch movies on.I can storage a lot of my photos from my cell phone. I can us multi screens to complete assignments and helps with my multitasking.Recommended for someone in school or like to watch movies on your laptop.

computer is pretty good, nice big screen, battery life good. hate windows 10, MS wants a consistent user experience across a bunch of different platforms. If I wanted a tablet i would have bought one, I like the old startup menu, it forces me to go to the stupid start up screen. It also comes preloaded with a million different apps that I will never use. Which leads to a bunch of annoying little things like, I open up IE and 2 home screens open up, MSN and toshiba. I keep getting update reminders for a bunch of stuff I will never use. THere are easy fixes for all of these, but I am starting to miss my work laptop after buying this.

i bought this laptop online, after 3-4 days it was delivered on my house and it was great so far! the price is good for the unit i bought, it work excellent on my work. my installed program work smoothly. very nice!

I bought this laptop to replace my old one and it was worth it. For the price and and what I need it for its does the job

This replaced another Toshiba laptop I had that lasted over 5 years. I like the large display and full keyboard. I purchased it as an open box special at my local Best Buy so I got a good deal on it. I couldn't be happier with the purchase. It automatically updated to Windows 10 which seems to work great on the system. It boots up quickly and works great. I have used it for around a month now without issues. Although I have not had any issues with the speed of it, I plan on updating the RAM to 16 gigs since I plan on keeping it for awhile. Yes, there are laptops with more features (backlit keyboard etc...), but for this price point it has been a great machine.

Large Screen is nice for office use but limits selection of computer bags and is a little bit bulky for traveling. Lid tends not to close completely is a little bit concern, but is not a big deal. Overall, it is a good lap top.

I got this during tax free weekend. I hadn't seen it prior online during my research but saw it in the store. It had everything I was looking for at the price point I was looking for. I use it for light duty but feel it could do more. I downloaded Windows 10 after I saw how ridiculous 8 is. Glad it was more or less an automatic update. The top lid seems a bit cheaper plastic than I would like, but over all seems like a good machine. As a side note, it kills me you can spend so much on a laptop yet my iPhone browser is much faster using the same wifi. Part of the reason I went without a laptop for so long.

This laptop is a great size for someone who needs a lot of screen for their daily uses. The keys are very quiet and soft to the touch. I think Toshiba made a great product in this one.

Too New to really rate. It does appear to be very touch sensitive. The cursor jumps around quite rapidly. The screen appearance and color is very good.

I purchased this laptop after reading many reviews and for the most part everything I read has been accurate. Good speed, great picture quality, easy to set up and use with the exception of learning Windows 10. Battery life of 3 1/2 hours before it warns you that you are down to 10%. Keyboard is a little touchy or should I say needs a little extra touch. Overall, if you are looking for an affordable laptop and want to use it for work and pleasure this is a good one. I don't game, so I can't comment on that, but Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, etc... work great on this machine.

The larger screen is nice and the colors are good. However, I don't feel it is as user friendly as another brand. I chose it based on screen size and availability to purchase at Best Buy.

This was bought for my son for college. He needed something with basic processing and Office compatibility and it fits the bill for sure, but add in the huge screen and robust graphics card and you should be really impressed at this price level. I know we are. It upgraded to Windows 10 easily without hiccups and runs all the PC games he throws at it just fine. I'm tired of HP products being pretty much a 2yr throwaway situation lately so I was happy to once again support Toshiba Electronics. So far it's been great and durable!

well so far... so good... i bought 2 so i use these mainly for gaming gta5.. apb.. etc as well as everything else you can be satisfied you can run 2 or more projects video @ the sametime which is nice always use ccleaner for your pc's tune them for max settings to performance..for games ...this laptop sets your games max... .i do reduce my game settings so thats up to you... the price as well.. over other laptops is a plus..always get the warranty so good luck to us all with contraptions while they last for this review

Good sized screen & keyboard & nice to have HDMI output. It would be better with more memory.
