The major issue that I'm having is the touch pad. The cursor constantly freezes it stops working. I found out about this problem after I bought the PC. According to other reviews this problem is normal from Toshiba.

Good overall laptop minus trackpad

Overview of the Toshiba Radius 12.5 4k Edition:
Good:
1. Technicolor Certified
2. 4K Screen
3. Intel i7 processor + SSD
Bad:
1. Trackpad
2. Trackpad
3. Resizing/viewing on 4K resolution
There are many laptops out there, but few can actually command 4K resolution let alone have the option to go from "technicolor" to "Adobe RGB". Having a laptop that is technicolor certification ensures that when you play around with your pictures they are indeed the way you should see it. This eliminates error in corrections of photos and when process...you will have good photos going out. When looking at many things from photos to videos. They tend to stand out or rather pop out. It's gorgeous ...there isn't much words for me to use other than just a gorgeous screen. However there is a real downside to this gorgeous screen that many people are unaware of and that is the downsizing and scaling of other icons and applications. For those that doesn't understand what this mean, it means when you install a problem, the icon or the application window of the program that you intend to run can be small or perhaps on many occasions very small causing frustration on your behalf. This can be fix by reverting or changing the current resolution down to 1920X1080. This should be more compatible with most program and less of a headache on your part. Moving on, having an Intel i7 processor and a solid SSD drive do make a difference. If you haven't already experience what SSD can offer. This will give you a noticeable change that you can really feel and see.
Now, lets go to the bad side of this laptop and probably the one and main reason why many people are choosing to return their laptop due to frustration of the trackpad. I don't really know what to tell you here. I'm currently dealing with this problem until Toshiba can come up with some sort of solution either be driver update or discount (not going to happen). The trackpad is indeed the worst design...maybe along the way, the group had a pizza break and forgot all about it. As a result, the trackpad is next to useless. This problem can be easily overcome by using a fantastic cheap wireless mouse (MICROSOFT 3500). I highly recommend getting the wireless mouse as it will save you a great great deal of headache. In the end, its really one flaw that I can see for this laptop...a big one but also at the same time a minor issue because the wireless mouse easily overcomes this issue. Everything else about the laptop is quite charming.
The battery is one that differs with users. Power users cry foul when the laptop doesn't meet 7 hours of usage. Again...most people are usually away from a power source for too long. Yes, it will easily get you through a class or two in my opinion. On power saving mode, I can still run my usual application with an average batter life of 5.5 hours. This isn't bad at all considering that this is a 4k monitor afterall. You can downgrade to the 1080 version of this laptop but then by gaining 2 extra of battery life for non-corrected screen and from other reviews...tends to be luke warm. No thanks...even from my own personal usage. I'm usually away from a powersource for no longer than 4-5 hours when actually using the laptop. Conservative users will demand that the laptop be in the 10hour range considering what dell and apple has to offer. Then again, at some point even they cut cost. I did not make the move to a MacBook pro because for the cost its just way too expensive and very little things are compatible for me since I consider myself somewhat of a power user.
In the end, this laptop is more geared towards photographers/students/movie enthusiasts. Again, if you can deal with using a wireless mouse (Microsoft 3500 series) most of the time. The laptop does really perform. Watching 4k video is really something even on a small screen such as this one.
P.S. Yes, my cheap $250 Lenovo had a batter trackpad but in no way is it as near capable as this laptop in terms of everything. Heck, it was advertised for 6 hours of usage but in real life...I barely managed 1.3 hours and that's on battery saver mode.
