Very fast to setup. I have used it for 2 weeks and it works great

I haven't had a new laptop in 5 years so this was a huge improvement. I love the touch of the keypad. I think the description said that it was 4.5 lbs. I haven't weighed it but it feels a bit heavier. The screen images are very clear.

Its very fast with a lots os power computing, and nothing heavy

This laptop does everything! It is an i7 with Windows 10, it has 1080HD, voice recognition, it rips and burns CD's, the speakers are good, it plays DVD's great, it weighs under 5lbs, you can play games on it and it was so easy to set up, I did it myself in less than a half hour. Toshiba is so user friendly. This is my second Toshiba laptop my first one lasted 9 years and I never had a problem with it.b I'm looking forward to another 9 years with this new one.

Let me start by saying that I am no techie. Just an average user. I always get my spec recommendations from a colleague and he's never steered me wrong. I am very happy with this machine. It's light, fast, and the display is crystal clear. I love the backlit keyboard. It doesn't get too hot and I haven't really noticed the fan at all. The brushed metal looks better than I thought it would. The only things that I do not love are the corners and the way the frame meets the metal. You can feel the edges which can be uncomfortable if you let your arms rest on them and I'd prefer a more rounded corner. Other than that though I'm very happy with this laptop and would definitely recommend it to a user like me.

The touchpad is defective. It just stops working. When you go to Toshiba Support to troubleshoot, it suggests you turn it off and then on again, using the F5 key. Then you discover that the F5 key does what the F4 key label says it is supposed to do - toggle between the laptop and external monitors. Several other really terrible design choices. In addition to not working, touchpad is off-center on the devise. To use the F1-F12 keys you have to hold the FN key down (in other words, rather than just hitting F2 to quickly edit a formula in Excel, you have to hold down FN-F2 - otherwise you turn down the brightness of the screen). The edges of the laptop are sharp, so that when you are typing and you lean your wrists on the machine, the edges cut into your skin. There are a lot of other issues, but I suspect they are Windows 10 related (which is a whole other issue). I had a Toshiba Portege that worked well from startup 5 years ago until it got too small to use all the new bloated software, so I thought I would be OK buying another Toshiba. BIG MISTAKE. KEEP SHOPPING!

I've only had this product a few days and I'm already disappointed. For having an i7 processor it works slower than my old i3. The whole reason I upgraded to an i7 was to have a faster processor. Also, the edges of the laptop itself are sharp, so if you're typing for a long period of time it is not comfortable. Overall not impressed with this product for the price.
