This is absolutely NOT an iPhone 6 or a Samsung Galaxy S6. But if you want a modest touch-screen CDMA Android smart phone capable of downloading and running MOST Google Play Store apps, this may be your ticket. It can easily run Chrome, Firefox, and Opera browsers. 512MB RAM limits the number of applications that can be installed in INTERNAL memory, and Google Android REQUIRES that the many pieces of Android remain in place in internal RAM. But MANY other apps, plus all your photos and music can be moved or saved to an External microSD card. As many other reviewers have pointed out, the camera is not great, 3 megapixels, without anti-vibration technology. There is no camera flash. It's good for quick snapshots in good lighting. The built-in speaker is small, without much bass response, but a good set of earbuds or headphones allows great private listening. With WiFi and Location Services turned on, the battery life is about 1 day between recharges. But those features are easy to turn OFF when you don't need them with a few taps to preserve your power. An inexpensive stylus for keyboard use is helpful if you have large fingers or spend a LOT of time emailing, tweeting, or texting. And for those complaining about costly Verizon prepaid service plans required to use this inexpensive phone, the very same phone features (1.2Ghz dual-core processor, 3G data, Android 4.4 KitKat™, 512MB RAM, SD-card slot, approximately 3.5" diagonal usable touch-screen size, are available as a prepaid-service-only TracFone, Model LGL34C, a/k/a LG Optimus Fuel. Terms and conditions of these reviews typically prohibit mentioning prices of phones and service plans, so I'll merely say: "Check out TracFone" if you're interested in other prepaid service alternatives.

    Amazing phone for the price

I bought mt first LG Optimus Zone 2 a couple of years ago because I wanted the major features without the major cost. I liked it so much I bought another one when I caught it on sale for $15.00 just in case I wanted another battery. Since then I've bought 3 more for $12.00. This is a fantastic deal.

    prepaid phone as security camera

I bought two of these when they went on sale for $15. Using them for security cameras in my house. Camera could be a little better, but other than that, exactly what I was looking for, a cheap way to monitor my home while I was away. Be aware, you have to use a code to get it our of the activation wizard.

I have now been using this for four months. Pro: Full Android experience, get a taste of Google Now and the cards and notifications etc. I've used it on WiFi only as my "in home" device. Con: Battery life. The phone is very small, which I like, but because of that the battery is also small. 4 stars because of the price I paid for it made it a slam dunk purchase. This does NOT compare to flagship devices.

I purchased this phone to replace my stolen one. It was a real upgrade for me, considering my last phone had no data capability. It's works as advertised but, if you do anything that eats up memory this isn't. the phone for you. But for normal calls, games, emails it does do good. Great for first phone for a teen.

Great Android phone for the buck

Got this prepaid LG Android phone during deal of the day and it was only $25!!! I know it is a VZ prepaid phone and I don't need one, however for the price, I would like to use it as a wifi only device at home and Bluetooth music player pairs with my Bluetooth speakers in the backyard or the bathroom. The touch screen is very responsive and the screen resolution is decent. I never expect a superb Android phone to begin with, so I am totally happy with it. Oh, you can easily by-pass the VZ activation screen when the phone is first turned on , you don't need to sign up for a prepaid plan in order for you to use it as a wifi and Bluetooth only device. Simply press, volume up, volume down, back and home, then you will by-pass the annoying VZ prepaid plan activation screen. This trick worked great for me and hope it helps you too. Have a great day.

Small, portable and fast - that's how I'd describe this nice little LG phone. It has all the basic apps I need and it's proven to be reliable. I'm satisfied with this purchase.

    Great value

The only thing I would caution about is from the BestBuy product info page: "Touch screen With 2048 x 1536 resolution makes navigation simple and clearly presents visuals. A virtual keyboard enables comfortable typing." That is actually the resolution of the pictures it takes, as I understand it. The resolution of the screen itself is only 480x320 pixels. This makes games look pixelated and grainy, but... This is a great device for the price! I got it as a daily deal for less than $35. I used the internet activation to skip signing up for a plan, and I intend to use the device like a WiFi only tablet running KitKat 4.4.2. The screen resolution may be small, but the games load very fast and the animations are smooth. Mine only has about 1.8GB of free space from a fresh install, but that is far more usable space than I have seen on many cheap 7 inch and above tablets.

Awsome. I cant say enough good things about this phone. I am pleasantly surprised at the performance, quality, features, etc. that LG managed too pack in such a small phone. I love the convenience of its size, for it fits virtually anywhere. In any pockets, purse, etc. Sound quality is amazing. I have never enjoyed listening to Pandora radio as much as I do on this phone. Processor speed is great. Storage space not bad for the price. It fits more than a few apps and even video games. This phone is priced at half what my galaxy is priced at and honestly, in my opinion, is twice as good. Awsome purchase. LG rocks!

NOT a pay as you go phone-45.00 a Month phone.

I have been trying to activate this device for 3 hours now. What Verizon does NOT tell you is that there is only ONE plan that they will let you use with this or any smart phone. The only plan they offer with this device is 45.00 per month (or higher) which I have no intention of paying, since this is supposed to be a "Pay as you go" phone. In other words, I want to pay what I want to pay. If I only want to pay for a week, I should be able to pay for a week. If I don't want internet or "data" I shouldn't have to pay for a data plan.

This phone is slow, has no front facing camera, no flash for the camera, and the camera does not focus. It is small and slips out of your (and into my nachos) wayyyyyy to easily. Good for people who don't want these features, terrible for those who do.

This phone is on the verge of being a dumbphone. It has a very small screen and the resolution is borderline poor. This would be a good phone for a child learning how to use a smart phone without having to risk of a major loss if the phone is damaged or lost.
