Customers are saying

Customers value the Motorola Moto E 4G for its long battery life, affordable price, and good camera quality. Many appreciate its ease of use, 4G LTE capabilities, and screen size. However, some users experienced performance issues and found the storage capacity to be limited. The lack of a flash on the camera was also noted as a drawback by a few customers.

I was able to get this phone relatively inexpensive off contract. It is pretty fast but it lags some times. The camera is so-so but like the fact that It comes pre loaded with android 5.0, lollipop.

It's definitely not a high-end phone, but it's reasonably priced and the Motorola build quality is great. Comes with android 5.0, and I got an over-the-air update to 5.1.

This is a quite good budget phone, with a 64 bit Snapdragon 410 processor and Android 5.0. The battery is also sufficient, with moderate use, it can last 2 to 3 days.

The phone was purchased for my older parents. They required a replacement phone after losing their two year old LG L7. I looked at the many features of the low cost but better spec'd moto e, and decided to give it a try. And to date, gladly we have not been disappointed. Winning us over was firstly the fresher design and larger clearer screen. Then newer ui and stock android making it much more friendly to use. Fallowed by the front facing, load clear speaker to help its great call quality to shin through. In the end, i think Motorola managed to provide a budget minded customer great value with its moto e.

A nice entry level touch screen phone from Motorola! Coupled with Verizon's 4G LTE service and Android Lollipop 5.0.2 out of the Box, it's a good performer.

Pros: great screen, long battery life, great standby time, good speakers sim card slot, and great out of the box stock android experience Cons: after the 5.1 update the network is locked to verizon every reboot/sim change, and not able to unlock it unless using ADB through a PC. Verizon must send an update to change this as they have promised not to lock networks on their phones.

this phone is very user friendly, I am a very low tech person and find it very easy to use, I was very hesitant to buy it because the first smart cell phone I had, got me frustrated, and returned it before thirty days. The moto G , is very simple to operate and good enough camera for me. Very satisfied!

I grabbed the Moto E before a month long field training exercise that would take me away from signal with my Sprint phone. The Verizon network performed great. The phone was a big surprise to me as I've been using Android since it first hit the market and knew the low price came with a weak spec sheet. The Moto E barely skipped a beat, had great battery life and decent screen brightness. The camera isn't gonna win any awards but sufficed for what I needed it to. If you're looking for a great budget phone on a good network, I can't recommend this enough.

Purchased this phone as a backup phone while my iPhone was being repaired. Although it is a pay as you go phone, Verizon was still able to install it while my iPhone was being repaired. Great features, fast processor, 4GLTE, plus many other options. Again, great phone at a great price.

MOTO E is very amazing phone for its price. Ideal screen size if you don't like 5inch+ phones. Also, the grip is quite good and doesn't slip out from hand. I would recommended it to everyone who is looking for decent phone for under $100 and is future proof for atleast 1-2 years.

Not a bad phone for the price. Quick, good range, easy to use, very sleek and does what is supposed to. Would recommend for someone who needs a smart phone on a budget. Great with verizon network. Great for a monthly prepaid plan.

I purchased this phone not expecting much but it definitely is very capable and useable for an average user. I really enjoy the fact that it has pure Android with no nonsense like other high end Android phones have. The features Motorola adds like driving mode twist wrist to activate camera and active display are very nice useful software features. The battery life lasts more than a day and it has a nice loud front facing speaker. Overall for under $100 you can't get anything better.

So I was in between a rock and a wet place and my a5 decided to take some swimming lessons and never recovered. I went looking for any options what so ever to replace my Verizon phone. Tue staff was super helpful and when we looking at all my options(which were few) and I was 18 months from an upgrade and 6 months from going to edge. Plus I was waiting on some calls for interviews so I had to have a phone. This was recommended that I could by this phone and take to the corporate store and it could be activated onto my 2year account. Man did it work flawlessly. I actually didn't need to go the verizon corporate store. When I called to activate it they were about to program the sim card and phone and link it im. The phone is fast and everything worked perfectly it so far. Thanks to all the guys at Best Buy that really saved my rear end.

Best 4G LTE Phone for the Money

This is the best phone purchase I've ever made. You have an unlocked android lollipop phone that works on all carriers, 4G LTE for Verizon, a micro SD slot, can be rooted and works on Verizon post paid out of the box if you pop in an activated sim before activating. All of this for $45 on sale, I couldn't ask for more!!!! Even at $70 currently, I don't think there's a better value out there.

I got this as a backup to my main phone. Luckily I did since I accidentally cracked my main phone's screen a couple of days after purchasing this. Everything works pretty smooth on this phone. Pairing this with my smart watches was effortless. I had such a hard time on my old phone. The only negative is the camera. But you really can't expect too much since this is a budget phone.

It's a dual-core CPU and a reasonable GPU. The screen is a nice size and fits well in handbags or pockets. The UI is slick enough for what you're paying. Can be used on T-mobile as well since it has a SIM slot. Just be careful when updating to lollipop 5.0 as it will disable 4G LTE if you are not on Verizon so don't factory reset your phone unless you have to.

Bought this phone as an upgrade from last one. Works well. Has a great camera. Bonus that I can now use an sd card for more storage. (last one did not take it, only had internal storage) Definitely worth the price.

One step below compared to Moto X

I love Motorola phones and this phone does everything I need it to do. I need my phone to be loud, durable, reliable and small. One downfall for me is it is not like the Moto X where you are completely hands free by saying "ok Google" and the phone performs your command. It has the feature but your phone must be unlocked making it not totally hands free like I want it. The second downfall is the camera. The quality reminds me of cameras phones 5 or more years ago. A camera isn't totally important to me so for this reason I still like this phone. I love my Active Display and Google incorporated software.
