Customers are saying

Customers value the Motorola Moto E 4G for its long battery life, affordable price, and good camera quality. Many appreciate its ease of use, 4G LTE capabilities, and screen size. However, some users experienced performance issues and found the storage capacity to be limited. The lack of a flash on the camera was also noted as a drawback by a few customers.

Moto E is the first prepaid phone with lollipop os. It runs smoothly. It has less pre-installed apps for more user liked apps. And the battery life is long enough for a shift and beyond. and last but not least it is on the best network in the world Verizon.

For a pre-paid phone this does the trick. The camera is also quite nice. Overall good value for money (not a top of the line phone but good for what you are paying).

Purchased at discount off normal price but would still recommend it at normal price. Amazingly simple. Works. Does the things that a "cellphone" needs to do!!!!!!!

Solid screen and build quality, but 8GB (4GB useable) is just not enough anymore. Be aware the Verizon version cannot have the boot loader unlocked on Motorola's site, so no root! Other than that it's fast enough for everyday use and camera is OK.

It's a good, decent starter phone, except for the 8gb of internal memory. The phone cannot hold a lot of apps though. The phone is faster and it's Android 5.1!

I purchased thus phone primarily as a backup phone. I was pleasantly surprised at the capability of the moto e. The battery life is not bad for the phone. I wish it was a removable one but I knew it wasn't going in. The speed is somewhat snappy. The camera is average at best. I'll soon update it to lollipop so should help some more. For the price, it is a better than average backup phone. UT doesn't have the screen resolution that the moto g but doesn't look bad.

    Defective from day one

After buying two phones for myself and girlfriend we both had them activated with 1gb of data because we use WiFi at home. On the way home my data was used up without me even using it and my girlfriends phone showed nothing. then in the following weeks the phone takes pics and videos in my pocket and when i unlock the screen I find 30-80 black photos and videos. Then also when the screen is locked the phone sends random messages to people I don't know. This phone is Defective and is going back to Best Buy. I just hope they can transfer my phone numbers to the next phone

I bought it primarily to take overseas to use T-Mobile's free Internet and Texting world wide. No issues. I have a Verizon G2 for my primary phone which also would have worked, but this phone supports more bands. Battery life is outstanding. It's a little slow functioning but fine for backup phone use.

This is a great budget phone, though it doesn't seem that way. I love the feel of the splash resistant body, and easy to hold onto. The placement of the micro-sd card is nice (great just to have a reader), and the battery seems to be more than fine. Would pick another up if I need another replacement.

I bought this phone for my 16 yr old daughter and she really likes it. It's small enough for her pocket and big enough for her to watch videos.

Would have given it a 5 stars if it had a flash and higher screen resolution. The 5 MP camera works well but a 8 MP would be nice.

Top notch screen quality, overall build quality. This works as well as recent much more expensive high end phones from a year+ back. Main advantage is that it works with lte on other gsm providers, if one does a little setup work using internet forums.

I am an admitted tech geek/addict and I bought this just because it was on sale and have used as my real phone for a couple weeks and it works fine for my use. It actually runs Lollipop better than my HTC One M8 that I used until the Lollipop update.

Since Verizon seems to not want their customers to have a choice to upgrade a device before the two year mark, the Moto E was a surprising option that goes above and beyond Verizon's regular selection. I was able to pop my Sim card into the Moto E and start using it right away. The phones made for "pay as you go" are sturdier than others, since the phone company makes their money off of people purchasing minutes, not phone contracts. I'm very pleased with my purchase.
