This was used as a temporary phone while my Samsung s4 was being fixed. I was able to do all I needed, call, txt, Internet, etc. it was a bit slow and keyboard was not ideal but cost was right.

My daughter really loves this phone, because it gives her the cutting edge of a very expensive phone, and she really loves it...

Got my daughter this phone with a prepaid service and works just as good as my $600 phone , got another one for a spare phone for me , let me tell you for price it's well worth it , just wished they would have accessories available in store ( cases and protectors ) but other than that , comes with the Samsung quality all around

Call quality is very good, and the phone's picture taking ability is also very good.

Needed a new phone & chose not to be under a contract. Phone is easy to understand and easy to use. Works well in Verizon areas but not well in other locations.

I purchased this phone a a couple of months ago and love it! It works perfect with all the apps I use. If you don't need the most current phone, this is a great option for the price. Plus it works with my grandfathered unlimited plan with Verizon. Only drawback is taking photos. It takes Ok quality pictures.

I had been wanting a smart phone for quite a while. When a friend showed me his new Samsung J1, I knew it was just what I needed. The price was right and all the features the phone has are what I felt were necessary to communicate efficiently with family and friends. It is excellent for taking care of business and making appointments, also.

Good low cost phone that works well. Only had to restart it 2 times. Luckily it has removable battery. More and more do not have this. If phone freezes, can't restart those by removing battery.

This phone was a great backup to have when my cellphone broke and I needed to have one immediately in order to be reached by my clients. Inexpensive and no hassle to get up and running.

I really like the Samsung Galaxy J1 no-contract phone. It's fast with a long battery life between charges. It's easy to use and I rarely drop calls with Verizon service like I did with another carrier. I can make calls in places now that I couldn't before. No issues at all with this phone.
