The techs who come to your home are excellent, but the ones who work remotely have all been very foreign and can't communicate with them. Also, they need a lot more of the techs for in-home repairs, there is a very long wait to have one come to your home.

3 Different Techs, Not One Fixed the Problem

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! Sony Bravia Magnolia TV and Sony Soundbar- Geek Squad has been out 3 times. 3 different "techs" each time and not 1 was able to help. All 3 couldn't even begin to tell us what the issue might be causing the sound cut-outs from the Soundbar. Their only suggestion was to hook the Soundbar to tv using the "old school" RCA jacks. Why would we do that when we paid for Surround/DTS/Atmos? There is an Optical port that would be ideal for sound transmission from Sony TV to the Soundbar but they can't figure out why the sound cuts out when connected to the optical or through a direct ethernet cable connection.

I purchased a geek squad package and told them I did not want it to auto renew and what do you know. It auto renewed. Additionally, when you purchase something and it goes on sale, they DO NOT let you know. You have to watch their sales in order to take advantage of them. They make it difficult for you to obtain the credit so you have kind of fight with them.

Membership is overly priced and you still have to pay for other services before they show up to your house . I kept getting the run around just for a simple tv calibration service, which they had already charged me and no one showed up to do the job .

$199.99 per year automatically charged to your card. Don’t try to cancel it. Roadblocks to keep you from doing so. Almost 2 hours on phone but no refund. Only disconnected calls. No supervisor to help.
