Obviously this game takes inspiration from Capcom series Monster hunter, but theres things in this game that capcom needs to implement. This game has a story with Npcs that become your friends as you take them out on hunts Has a openworld that feels like a fun to run around in. You dont have to craft potions in this game. I hate that in Mh. Spirits add a nice function to power up your character with buffs. No weapon durability A+. Some people like the durability in Mh. Imo Running out of a battle to sharpen kinda sucks. Online is smooth I've never dropped while playing with my wife. Havent encountered any bugs. Using your eye ability you can see the boss monters Hp. Mh needs this. Overall I hope they continue with this series. From someone whos played Mh since it was on psp, I encourage Mh fans to play this. You might even become a fan like me if you give this game a chance.

Toukiden 2 takes the monster hunter series aspects of its roots and expands on them. New weapons new monster, and most important an exploratory mode. Online rooms allow you to do more while connected and everything gets a polish.

The game has great story with lots of improvements. The story is more interesting from start to finish. The controls are easy to learn and enjoyable gameplay. I highly recommend the game.

Fun game with a lot of things to do. Fun on it's own but a lot better online multiplayer. It is also fun to Create and customize your own character and bring them into battle

I figured for the price, I'd give it a try. And it isn't bad. Old school JRPG at its finest. Note that it's not dubbed in English so prepare to read a lot.

KOEI is such a great developer who makes the Dynasty Warriors franchise. Anyone that is a fan of Dynasty Warriors will love Koei's Toukiden. It's a Japanese monster hunter without all that long hours of grinding over and over for a small percentage of drop piece. This game is more rewarding and doesn't become repetitive to a point where you feel like you are not going anywhere like monster hunter

First off if you play games only for graphics you won't like this game. This game is cross play with VITA, PS3, and PS4. It honestly looks like a PS2 HD remaster, but that's fine with me. The game is fun. It's similar to Monster Hunter, but instead of dinosaurs you're fighting demons, "ONI." There's quite a bit of customization and there is surprisingly a lot of depth to the combat systems, which I'm still trying to figure out. But, once you get into the game it's quite fun, and fighting huge monsters and trying to take them apart limb by limb is thrilling. It's mainly single player but you get AI teammates who are quite capable of holding their own. There is a multiplayer aspect to it, where you and other players can play missions but I haven't delved into that yet.

Like the first game and the Kiwami sequel this is a fun action RPG. As a bonus if you have a Vita you can remote play (instead of getting the Vita version [although the Vita version is PSTV compatible]).

If you're a fan of the first one then get this! Much more better plus more weapons and monsters to fight!

Great game that is now out of stock on Best buy. Worth picking up if you enjoy monster Hunter.

Something nice to hold me over until Monster Hunter World

Toukiden 2 is a great sequel and improvement over the original Toukiden. The addition of the Demon Hand allows for more mobility and options during battles, and the two new weapon types are also fantastic. One of the biggest pluses of this game is the fact that it's more open than the other, which had a single hub and used a mission-based structure. Toukiden 2 offers an open world, of sorts, with interconnected open areas that you can run through while fighting Oni. The game is still a bit of a grind, though, as you will need to continually kill the same Oni over and over to get a RNG drop from it.

I love japanese rpgs and this is a unique game. Would recommend for collectors.

If you like monster hunter this is the right game for you.

I love Tecmo Koei and this game is great, I enjoyed the first Toukiden but this one is a great improvement on the first one, I hope this series continues and improves more in the future, because its the best "hunting" game besides monster hunter
