Probably one of the better films of the 70s. Irwin Allen is a genius. Great ensemble cast of some of the days biggest stars.

Loved this movie just as much as I did back in the day at the movie theater. Great to see the old stars that were great actors and now have gone on to the heavens.

This movie I remembered watching in my youth and enjoyed so much that I bought the DVD to now watch whenever I fell like a well directed movie.

Just look at the all star cast. This was well done considering when it was made. This was the first movie that was a big budget tower on fire movie.It also has a part for the pre murder OJ.

This movie looks fantastic on Blu-ray. The story is your basic disaster scenario but seeing more than a few of the major actors of that era makes this movie a whole lot better.

Fire gets started early and lasts for several hours. Every movie star imaginable is in this movie except Ernest Borgnine. Lots of fun anyway!

Disaster around every corner. How many errors were made in building the tallest building in San Francisco. You will have to watch to find out.

The main reason to purchase this film is to experience the blu ray's hi-def picture and sound. Both are excellent but the highlight is what comes through a top notch stereo system. The visual and aural experience make up for the inconsistent acting, inane plot and a script that is sometimes laughably bad. It's hard to believe that "The Towering Inferno" was nominated for Best Picture. However, if you don't take it too seriously (and have good electronics) there are worse ways to spend your time than watching this flick.

This movie is full of great old time actors. Lots of action & suspense. It's just a good re-watch. If you have never seen it, you should.

One of the original disaster films. Plus an all-star cast. I've always been a fan of Paul Newman. This is not one of his better films but he always seems to give a good performance.
