Really fun. Just wish there were even more old school toys represented.

War Chest includes the same great gameplay from the old Toy Solider games, but the addition of microtransaction-based unlock systems make progression a slog.

Bought this game due to the He-man and GI Joe brand, and because it was listed as co-op. It's less co-op oriented than I expected, and don't expect to both be running around as He-man or Cobra Commander - Only one player is able to in co-op, and a majority of the game is standard tower defense, with shooter like tower controls. Not terrible or anything but slightly less than what I expected.

I picked this up solely to play as Joes vs Cobra. It's not bad, not great. It's fine.

This is more a RPG game instead of a fighter game.

I try not to bash games much, but this game had severe game breakibg bugs in it. Aside from that it was a fairly boring game, and having to purchase new toys is pretty lame

    Solid Gameplay and Nostalgia

If you like tower defense styles of games, then this game is possibly a must play for you. I actually thought the game on solo got pretty challenging. A very strategy oriented game, placing your weapons and building them just right. The different toys you can play as is a total hoot/ fun! The gameplay may get a little repetitive for some and also I found that some of the enemies appeared quite tiny as target to try and hit, found myself aiming at dots and not the fully realized quirky characters they are if you stop shooting and just take a close look at them. This game could be a strain on the eyes if video games do that to you, this one may be a killer.

A good game with some big flaws

I stumbled onto this game and was sold by two characters on the cover: He-Man and Cobra Commander. TSWC is basically a tower defense strategy/FPS game. You are to defend your own "toy box" and attack your opponent's on alternating turns. You can strategically place various weaponry around the map or take control of your army's leader for some first person shooting action. The good: This game brought back LOTS of nostalgia. Being able to control He-Man atop BattleCat or call in waves of GI Joe tanks and planes is immense fun. Being able to switch between controlling turrets and FPS is a nice balance. The maps are character specific and nicely rendered. The bad: The load times are a bit long. He-Man is equipped with only a sword, so as cool it is to ride around wildly, any opponent with range can quickly take him out. Now, my biggest gripe(s). The DLC code for GI Joe, Cobra, He-Man, and Assassin's Creed is included with the War Chest edition. However, if you plan on playing with a second player they must purchase the content again in order to be used (I confirmed this with Ubisoft). Also, the second player must use a workaround to pick the army of their choice. Only player one can readily change armies. Overall, the game is fun especially if you are a child of the 80s. If the above flaws can be rectified with a patch, I'd give it 5 stars.
