I love the Toy Story franchise. This was my chance to get the fourth one on sale and I was surprised of the price because it didnt show that it was digital on the picture like the others. It just said "steelbook" but it didnt say "includes digital copy" I looked all over best buy website to make sure because I always get digital copies of all my movies. So for anyone wondering. It DID include the digital copy and the movie was great, funny, and charming...buy it. You will love it.

What can I say? Woody and Buzz together again! Toy Story 4 had me in tears from the get go. This movie is great for young and old, I mean there's no age limit when it comes to Disney! I don't want to give any spoilers, but Woody finds his own path. Thank you Tom Hanks & Tim Allen for all the memories! To infinity and beyond!!

I have never seen any of these, and this is my first. I really enjoyed it and now want to see the others. It had a great story and the picture quality is absolutely phenomenal. Colors just pop and looks real at times. Gorgeous looking SteelBook as well.

I’ve gotten the other 3 Toy Story films on 4K. Have been impressed with all of them, particularly this one. You can really see how the tech has improved over the years! Definitely would recommend for anyone who likes this film series.

The Toy Story series has always been a family favorite of ours. We had seen the 4th installment in the theater, but even that showing doesn't match up to what we can experience with our setup in 4k at home. Worth it in every bit.

I got the movie Just because I prefer everything and still books now so it's all preference there's really no difference no huge benefits that I know of but you get some exclusive items and the Beautiful Steel book with the artwork, it's more for collectors but worth it.
My personal opinion why I chose the collectors as well I just like the 4K Edition and the Dolby Atmos for home theaters sounds great and looks great when you have a full system!
I run Klipsch all new reference 7.1 that's the specs for the tech savi's

Fun movie. Works well with the others in the series. The 4k makes the movies look and sound absolutely fantastic.
My major gripe is the steelbook. The first 3 have such a unique look that this one looks dark by comparison and doesn't look as good next to the other 3 as I would like.

If you're like me and have seen all the Toy Story movies and loved them, this is a must have! As Tom Hanks said, “We were all there, and when we ended up recording the very last line, there was a realization where I was like, ‘Oh, is that the last line?’ They all said, ‘That’s it."

Toy Story 4 - A Great Ending - New Beginning?

Warning - there are some spoilers in this review.
Sheriff Woody is trying his best to adjust to life with Bonnie. Even though he's forgotten more often than not when she plays with her toys, Woody remains intensely focused on Bonnie and her happiness. This means going into full babysitter/bodyguard mode when she creates a new toy at school. As Woody tries to keep the toy safe, he's swept into an accidental adventure - one in which he meets old friends and learns new truths about who he is and who he has yet to be. Woody has spent the first three films grappling with his fear of being lost, forgotten or replaced, from his first meeting with the Buzz Lightyear to the day Andy outgrew him and went away to college. This film challenges Woody to think hard about second chances, about changing how you look at yourself, about finding and embracing a new purpose in life. Toy Story 4 feels like the natural, necessary final chapter of a story told in four parts. But there are also some new beginnings too. It will be interesting to see what Pixar and Disney dream up next. Don't miss it.

The film opens with Bonnie, the lucky little girl who inherited Andy's toys, nervously getting ready for orientation at her first day in kindergarten. Woody's (Tom Hanks) not being played with very much anymore, but he clearly sees her apprehension. He decides to stowaway in her backpack to keep an eye on her. Once at school, Bonnie is uneasy in the unfamiliar environment. When she attempts to make a friend and is promptly rebuffed, Woody springs into action. He rifles through a nearby wastepaper basket and quickly fishes out a spork and some crafting supplies. He tosses the items in front of Bonnie while she's distracted, and then dives out of sight and into her backpack. Bonnie suddenly notices the supplies and creates Forky (Tony Hale), complete with mismatched eyes, a red unibrow, blue mouth, pipe cleaner arms and popsicle sticks for feet attached to play-doh or quite possibly discarded gum. Woody is instantly relieved when he sees that Bonnie's mood turns around by the creation of Forky.
When her parents inform her that they're going on a road trip, Bonnie decides to bring every single one of the toys along for the ride in their RV. In the meantime, Woody immediately takes Forky under his wing. He spends much of his time trying to keep his new friend from tossing himself into garbage cans. The spork declares himself trash and calmly explains to Woody that the cans make him feel safe and warm. The lovable cowboy tries to extol the importance of being a child's toy and that Forky is a toy, just like the rest of them. When the friends are separated from the rest of the group during the trip, they forge a friendship that neither one expected.
Great performances by Christina Hendricks (Gabby Gabby), Keanu Reeves (Duke Caboom) Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele (Ducky and Bunny), as well as the old familiar friends, Tim Allen (Buzz Lightyear), Joan Cusack (Jessie), Wallace Shawn (Rex), John Ratzenberger (Hamm), and Estelle Harris (Mrs. Potato Head). It's a rich, deep story, one filled with metaphors that will go over a child's head, but as an adult, you'll notice them and understand. Without spoiling anything, my heart literally sank at the ending, completely out of left field, of what has been ingrained in our minds all of these years. Some people will disagree, and some won't. Worth a watch regardless.

To get the greatest rendering of the animation, we got the 4K packaging of Toy Story 4 - and it doesn't disappoint. Some stills look absolutely real and are truly beautiful pictures. Similarly, the details and movement of the characters takes full advantage of the sharpness and range of the 4K format.
The movie is loaded with familiar (but innovative and varying) action scenes that play well with each characters features and many props around them - very smart, quick, fun, and satisfying (as in, that was so COOL). Many of them are so close together that you watching the movie again won't be boring as you will see things you missed the first time.
SPOILER ALERT: A major segment of the story is set in an antique store which is the forever home to many abandoned toys. Again, the writers and artists absolutely nailed the setting, details, textures at a dizzying level (the toys are moving through cabinets, behind shelves of an overstocked store). Several of the toys are ventriloquist dummies and dolls and very (VERY) effectively bring a creepy element.
Story: (Again, SPOILER ALERT) Woody spends almost all of the movie trying to help a new toy "get back to his kid" in the name of the child needing the toy's support. But at the end, everyone including Woody decides it's OK for him to follow his heart and join a group of lost toys. (HUH??!!) Other smaller parts of the narrative seem to be similarly conflicted - some of it likely beyond the reach of younger children and not consistent with the bittersweet, but more decisively resolved stories from the early chapters of this franchise.
Special Features: I was looking forward to some clever short features in 4K - there are absolutely none. Other than the typical storyboard dumps and mutual cheerleading between the cast and directors, there are no special features.

We have the first three special edition on Blu-ray and I wasn't going to upgrade to UBD. I figured there would be only a minor uptick in picture/sound quality. Then the fourth one came out and with most new movie purchases we go for the Ultra Blu-rays. So I figured if BestBuy had all four on Ultra in the store we'd get them, the third and fourth ones are steel box editions. I was wrong, there was more than a minor difference between the older Blu-rays and the newer Ultra format. The forth one barely qualifies as an animated movie, it's border line realism is amazing. The color, attention to detail, and sound is incredible. We watched all four back to back, it was an emotional ride to say the least, and a fitting end to a great story. Thank you Disney and BestBuy.

Toy Story 4 and Beyond

Disney Pixar has a 4th installment in their Toy Story series with our beloved characters mostly intact after moving from Andy's House to a new playmate named Bonnie. The family embarks on a road trip after Bonnie creates a new play friend out of trash, named Forky, but he doesn't quite consider himself a toy, which is shades of the first film, when it was Buzz, who was confused. It is mostly Fory's confusion that leads the adventure and the other toys to work through the problems they encounter in an Antique shop and at a carnival, while on the new owner's vacation. All, of course, works out in the end, but watch for a surprise ending that will make you think there may not be a Toy Story 5.
