In case if you’re wondering like I was, it’s not a Halloween related title. It’s still a fun special to add to the rest of your collection.

I got to admit that I was hesitant about making this purchase because there are some Disney movie continuations I don’t really care for. To my grateful surprise, this is just another great Toy Story mini-movie to add to the collection! All of the classic characters are still in this: Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Mr. Potate Head, etc. To be honest I think it would have been just a wee bit better if there was more of Bullseye in this. Still a great movie for the family, for sure.

Bought this for my son to watch before trick or treating this year. Trying to start a Halloween tradition like I used to have as a child. The movie and features are short but I knew that going in and the price was right. Overall, my son really enjoyed the movie and animation was top notch as every Pixar release is.

I've seen this movie before with my kids, but the disc offers a new experience. There is an option to play the movie in noir or with live-action short commercials, that Pixar made up, that is injected periodically throughout the playing of the movie.

My kids begged us to get this for them. They love this short film just as much as the other films. They are happy they can watch it any time they want!

Toy Story of Terror! is Pixar’s first TV special, and a really good one. The studio has previously only made feature length and short films before, and a TV special was a new challenge. Pixar has previously been able to tell stories of various lengths, but the half hour of network television gave Toy Story of Terror! a very specific runtime. Toy Story of Terror! had to conform to a runtime of exactly 21 minutes and 30 seconds in length and not one frame longer or shorter. This is just one of the many insightful things learned on the great Toy Story of Terror! DVD and Blu-ray release. The release is packed with special features that show how Toy Story of Terror! was made. There’s more to be done than the average person would expect, and there’s enough in depth material that anyone will learn something. The filmmaking process is undoubtedly different when using animation, and there’s a lot of material that shows just how different it is. Part of this is in an insightful featurette, but a lot of it comes from the various great commentaries included. Also included on the release are deleted scenes, the Toy Story Toons shorts, and vintage toy commercials. The toy commercials focus on a few of the new toys introduced in Toy Story of Terror! and are made in the style of the eras the fictional toys would have come from. Like the one embedded below, these are a highlight of the release and completely hilarious. As for Toy Story of Terror! itself, this is an excellent TV special. The half hour format allowed Pixar to tell a smaller Toy Story tale that is as intimate as the movies. Focusing on Jesse was a great idea, and the way the story is structured around her character works absolutely perfectly. The TV special is an interesting type of story for Pixar to use, and we’re completely excited for Toy Story that Time Forgot. I love these Toy Story one-shots; I'd like them more if Disney/Pixar bundled them all together instead of just releasing them piecemeal. Still, the A/V quality is good, and the short film itself is exceptional.

Our kids love the toy story series and enjoy the short movies that are on the dvd. Great to have more movies to watch and follow the main characters in the new adventures

My wife, kids, and I love Party Sauraus Rex Short which is included in the Toy Story of Terror Blu-Ray. Also, other great shorts included as well!

Me ans my wife both grew up loving the Toy Story movies. Both of our kids now love them and this mini movie was no different. Can't wait for Toy Story 4!

Our grandsons, ages 5 and 10 really enjoyed this animated tale. We watched it after a quick trip down the street for Halloween candy. I would highly recommend.

Toy story has always been a favorite of mine so of course I had to buy this and I was not disappointed!
