I don't know if it's Verizon or TP Link? It didn't work.Verizon said it didn't read being there.(the coaxial hook up) TP link said Verizon doesn't want to hook it up?
Can't really recommend or not.

Excellent cable modem..

This cable modem supports DOCSIS. Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification (DOCSIS is an international telecommunications standard that permits the addition of high-bandwidth data transfer to an existing cable TV (CATV) system. It is employed by many cable television operators to provide Internet access (see cable Internet) over their existinghybrid fiber-coaxial (HFC) infrastructure. The various standards are sometimes abbreviated to Dx, as in a "D3 modem" (DOCSIS 3 modem).
I tried this modem with XFINITY from Comcast. It has six internal antennas and high-powered amplifiers boost signal strength and reduce interference. Dual USB ports support access files & media from networked devices. Speedtest revealed 60 Mbps with my tiered plan. The main advantage of using a own router is we can get out of monthly rental costs which can add up heavily. I was able to stream movies wirelessly with Roku box. Very easy to setup, this came with an Ethernet cable and a manual. It is a no brainer to connect and use it,

Save on Fees & get Better Performance!

If you're like me, then you can't stand being nickeled & dimed to death with fees from your cable provider. Although many are finding out more & more as time goes on, you do have another option! Unlike your set top box (DVR) you do have the option of owning your own cable modem. By doing so, you will eliminate the monthly rental fee attached to your bill. Not only that, you can get a modem that offers greater performance than the one offered by your cable company.
What makes the CR700 attractive is, not only are you getting a high performance cable modem, that you own & therefore aren't paying for every month, it also bundles in a high end WiFi router too!
This enables you to get rid of a bunch of different boxes & just have an all in one, high-speed solution.
I love not having to give the cable company more money than I have too, but what I love even more is being able to satisfy all the data hogs in my household! Thanks to the CR700, everyone can do their own thing without impacting each other. One can be streaming music, another streaming / binge watching, another gaming on the Xbox One, another online shopping & myself living on my Nexus 6P (yes. I'm a smartphone junkie).
I have no complaints with the CR700. It performs well, eliminated cable & box clutter, but best of all it actually saves me money each month!

I have Comcast/Xfinity and was given the chance to review the TPLINK ARCHER CR700 Wireless AC1750 Router and Cable Modem.
I am now finally able to ditch the Comcast rented modem and save some money on rental fees. I hooked up the new modem, call comcast and gave them the MAC address. After 5-10min on the phone I was set to go.
I live in a smaller 3 bedroom house, that is about 1300 sq ft and this provides ample wireless signal through-out with no issues. Setting up the wireless modem was super easy with TPLINKs GUI that is very well laid out and user friendly.
Been using this Modem/Router combo for a few weeks now and love it!

DONT BUY, HARDWARE IS BROKEN

I'm very disappointed with this product. At first it seemed like it was good and it was simple to set up, but within a few days I started to notice that the 2.4 gHz network would say that my password was incorrect or it was fail to connect completely. If I rebooted my router then it would work fine for a period of about 24-48hrs. Each time that it failed it would require that I go onto the router site and reboot it. This is not an anomaly... I contacted customer support after being fed up with restarting my router EVERYDAY... they sent me a replacement. I received after about 15 days or so and I set it up and it worked fine for about 1 hr and then my 5.0 gHz network disappeared.... I tried everything restored to factory settings and rebooted it multiple times. I called the customer service and they told me to change the channels on the network... I was sitting right next to my router (2 feet away) and my brand new laptop couldn't pick up the 5.0gHz signal at all. Eventually the customer service rep agreed to send me another replacement... another 15 days went by and the package came.. they sent me a refurbished router... ok whatever I decided id try it out and see if it works.. I set it up and it worked.... for 4 hrs... and the 2.4gHz network says incorrect password or network failed to connect and if i reboot it works fine again.... THERE IS SOMETHING INTRINSICALLY WRONG WITH THE HARDWARE.... This is unacceptable... 3 different devices having the same error... I followed the setup step by step from the guide they provided... I contacted my service provider to check if there were any firmware updates that i needed.. I replaced the coaxial cable.... NOPE!!! This product itself is faulty and I'm very disappointed that this is how its turning out... The customer service individuals were nice enough to send me two replacements, but whats the point of the replacements when the HARDWARE ITSELF IS BROKEN... SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSWEWHERE...

BEST cable modem WiFi Router in 2019

TP-Link CR1900 is THE BEST cable modem WiFi Router available today for home use. I tried the other brands, even tried several mesh system devices costing over $300 and NONE of them compare to the WiFi signal strength I am getting from the TP-Link. In fairness, being in a 2 story 2100sf home with the modem/router upstairs receiving 120Mbps signal from Cox Cable to feed 49 WiFi devices on the 2 floors plus 4 in back yard, I did have to add a TP-Link RE450 WiFi extender downstairs and am also using 2 TP-Link RE200 extenders on the back of 2 downstairs big screen TVs. Using the Ethernet connections from the RE200 extenders, my TVs are receiving up to 47Mbps when tested using the Speedtest app. BOTTOM LINE: Not one of the other devices and combination of devices worked as well so I plan to stick with TP-Link 1900 until and unless I find something better at the 2020 CES Show.
