    I had a USB wifi adapter that was working great but now I needed a second wifi adapter. I thought that surely if i buy the pci-e adapter it would detect more wifi signals, and better speed but no. This adapter ran at under 15-20 Mbps and it was about 15ft away. The older usb wifi adapter ran at 80-100 Mbs at 15ft away. I tried using the default drivers that windows installed, downloaded fresh from the manufacturers website and tried 2 computers and no difference.

    The card only took a few minutes to install and seems to work fine. My only complaint (and I think this is common) is why they don't come with a screw to hold the card in. You break the tab off covering the unused slot, you put the card in, but you have no screw to hold it in with. I guess fancier cases come with screwless design, or has screws for each slot, but what would it hurt to throw a screw in with each board?
