This router was easy to set up and provides Wi-Fi to areas of my house that the signal wouldn't reach before. I stream movies/tv shows wirelessly to an Apple TV without interruption, even with multiple devices using the internet at the same time. TP Link customer service was helpful after our power blinked off and the router needed to be reset, took only a few minutes with their guidance.

I am not the most technically savvy person but I did hook this up and configure it by myself. I have never had wifi capability before, so it was a little challenging for me to do the Quick Setup. I ended up calling the product tech support and they resolved my problem immediately and it works fine. The range is good, even through stucco walls and double pane glass. I have the unit in the front room of my house and can use it in my back yard, which is the furthest point from it. Presently I only use it for a Kindle Fire tablet.

Seems to be a slower connection for Gmail on my phone than I had with an earlier router but it comes. Fast on my laptop though. Website access is fast, on phone and laptop. So a good purchase.

this is a nice budget friendly AC router. I replaced my old Lynksys wireless G router from 2003. I have no complaints with this router. The online user interface is a bit confusing for a few things, but the main things to get you up and running are easy to find. I had a slight issue looking for where to change the default admin password to log in. A quick google search and I figured it out though.

I'll give a quick rundown of my thoughts before listing the pro's and con's of the router, and I'll be upfront: It's an okay router for the $40 I paid. Had I paid the retail price of over $75 I'd have been returning the router after the first night of using it. The 2.4 signal is great as is expected but it's a HIGHLY saturated signal in my apartment, hence why I picked a simultaneous dual band. The 5GHz signal is okay, weird dead spots in my place and signal drops with only 15ft distance and a very thin wall in the way. +PROS+ +For $40 it's pretty good value +Fairly detailed menus and easy setup (for those who know what they're doing at least) +Nice sized high power antennae +GIgabit LAN (who would buy one without?) -CONS- -Weak and sad performance from the 5GHz band -No mounting holes at all -No band steering allowing the same SSID to be used and letting the devices pick what is best or available. ~Other thoughts~ ~DDWRT would have been a nice feature, but the chipset apparently doesn't jive with it, grab an archer C5 or C7 if you want that. ~I'd really only recommend this if you can get it for the discounted price of $40. Otherwise chip in a little extra and get the C5

A family friend had their internet upgraded and I recommended they install this router because it had wireless AC support to take advantage of their faster internet. They previously had wireless g. This does a great job. Not too expensive and still able to max out their internet connection.
