Posted .Hi,
Thank you for your review. Our WiFi routers are universally compatible with any Internet service as long as the Internet signal is supplied via Ethernet cable (i.e. from an existing cable modem). If you have a cable modem and are struggling to obtain Internet connectivity through the router, it could be that your cable modem's MAC (Media Access Control) binding needs to be released and renewed so it can provide an IP address (and Internet) to the Router. This can typically be done using the following steps:
1. Unplug the power from both your router and cable modem
2. Unplug the coax cable from the modem
3. Re-connect power ONLY to your cable modem
4. Wait until the cable modem is fully booted, then re-connect coax
5. Re-connect power to the router and connect it to the modem via Ethernet
This process should release and renew the MAC binding so your modem can provide connectivity to the router. If you'd like assistance with any of these steps, please send an e-mail with your contact information and a link to this review to [email protected] and we'll gladly have a Support Agent follow up with you directly.

Posted .Hello,
Thank you for your review and feedback.
If you're experiencing difficulty connecting your wireless devices to the router, we first recommend ensuring the Wi-Fi is enabled and broadcasting. Please make sure the 2.4G and 5G Wi-Fi LEDs are on and flashing. If they are not, please press the "Wi-Fi" button behind the router for 1-2 seconds, then release it; the 2.4G and 5G LEDs should come on.
However, if your 2.4G and 5G LEDs are already flashing, but you're still having trouble connecting, please ensure you're selecting the correct Wi-Fi network name, and entering the correct password when trying to connect. If you haven't created a custom Wi-Fi name and password, please refer to the label beneath the router for the default Wi-Fi information.
However, if you created a custom Wi-Fi name and password, you'll need to use this information when connecting.
If you have any further questions or concerns in the future, please feel free to contact our Support Team at the number and/or e-mail address provided below, and an available Support Agent will be happy to assist you.

Horrible. Slow.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installed this router easily and it chopped my internet speed by more than half. My old router had a download speed of 230 mbps, this router dropped it to about 80 mbps. Taking it back to Best Buy tomorrow. Trash. Absolute garbage.

Posted .Hi,
In order to provide customers with options that best fit their networking needs, we offer a variety of products. For customers who subscribe to Internet speed plans of 100Mbps or less, this router will perform exceptionally, as it is equipped with Fast Ethernet (10/100Mbps) ports. However, for Internet speeds plans that exceed 100Mbps, we suggest considering one of our various Gigabit Ethernet routers with ports that support speeds of up to 1000Mbps, such as the Archer C7.
Our Support Team is always happy to answer any questions you might have about our products. Please feel free to email [email protected] and we'll gladly have a Support Agent follow up with you directly.

Perfect for SOHO and/or Dorm Rooms
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a review of a free product received from TP-LINK as part of the review program. If you are looking for a basic, easy to use router with great coverage & performance OR you're looking to upgrade to the blazing speeds of 802.11ac, the Archer C50 is for you! I found the Archer C50 to be perfect for dorm rooms, small houses & apartments. The dual band WiFi speed & coverage are very impressive, considering the price point. However, the addition of (4) Fast Ethernet & (1) USB ports makes this little guy entirely too hard to pass up! I was able to game, stream (video and/or music), browse, & make video calls with ease. A word of caution though, if you are providing WiFi for more than 2 people or are in an area swamped with WiFi networks, this router isn't for you. You simply just need to look at a more powerful model in the Archer series.
