Better Coverage

Bought this to increase signal to the back of the house as the modem/router combo wasn't very strong. I opted for this instead of a booster as my modem/router was only wireless-N. The coverage is much better and I get full speed through the house.

When I received the TP-Link Archer C50 and opened the box I thought to myself "What is this little thing going to do!?" "Its so little compared to any of the other routers I have owned!" But I was sure mistaken! Do not let the size of it discourage you because it keeps up with a lot of other routers on the market today. The Archer C50's WiFi speeds are Amazing! It can preform simultaneously on the 2.4GHz band up to 300Mbps and on the 5GHz band up to 867Mbps for a total bandwidth of 1.2Gbps. I have not had any issues at all with it at all. It let me use multiple devices without any internet lag or drops.
Installing and setting up is quite easy with the included Quick installation Guide and the convenient Web browser utility. It only took me about 10 minutes to get up and running. I choose to mount the Archer C50 on the wall but it can also be laid flat on a desk or shelf.
The Archer C50 is a beautiful shiny black with 2 grey dual band antennas. The antennas do not come off. I love the green lights on it. Most of my devices have blue lights so having the green is a nice change. It has 4 of the 10/100Mbps LAN Ports and 1 USB 2.0 Port. The USB port can be used for Remote access via FTP Server, Media sharing, Local storage sharing, and Printer sharing. It also has options for setting up Guest networks, and Parental controls. There is a convenient "Tether" app that you can download for accessing the Archer C50 from your iOS or Android device..
If you are wanting to move up to an 802.11ac Dual band router from your old Wireless 802.11n router than this would be ideal. This is a perfect router for anyone and you can't beat the price.Overall I am impressed with the size, quality, and speed and will be certainly be recommending the Archer C50 to my family and friends. This is a review of a free product received from TP-LINK as part of the review program.

I received this unit as part of the TP-link reviewer program. My opinion is honest and unbiased.
This is a great entry level router to get you to the wireless AC standard inexpensively. I would say that this is an entry level device and not as fast as its more expensive cousins but for someone with a small network that's not streaming from multiple devices and is in an small to average sized house this unit will work just fine.
The setup was straight forward and I had no issues at all. The directions were clear and easy to follow and should be easy for anyone to setup regardless of computer skill.
If you looking for the highest performing router this inst it but for the price its and excellent entry level device for someone with a smaller network and few clients.

The Archer C50 only gives 100 mps, not 300. Which may be fast enough for you but I have 200 mps available. Check it’s specs and you will see its interface is 10x100.
