Good upgrade from the C9

This is a review of a free product received by TP-LINK as part of the review program. I previously used a TP-Link Archer C9, which I was perfectly happy with.
I've been using the C2600 for a couple of weeks now, and have had zero issues so far. Signal strength on 2.4 and 5ghz reaches farther than the C9, and is more stable at distance. Setup was easy, just like the C9... very simple, yet has advanced options for the power user.
A quality product that doesn't look like a spaceship and delivers on performance and stability.. a win for me.

This is a review of a free product received by TP-LINK as part of the review program. This router was easy to set up and use. It took less than five minutes to get this up and running. This is a great router to have if you have multiple devices connecting to it for Wi-Fi because it supports all the devices without taking a hit on streaming or downloading. I can stream movies and play Xbox live at the same time without any lag. The dual band technology and beam forming technology will give you great coverage all throughout your house, keeping you connected to the internet no matter where you are inside. The router comes with 4 antennas that can be adjusted if needed.

This was a very easy router to configure. I was up and running in less than 5 minutes on my Verizon FIOS network. I like the Mulit-user MIMO technology as I can run multiple devices simultaneously without any performance hits on my streaming. The beamforming technology is also an added bonus with the router. I get my full 50 up and 50 down with the speed tests and it shows when downloading files. The TP-LINK tether app is also nice as you can manage your network right through the app. Highly recommended for someone who is looking for a reasonable priced router with great performance. Not a refined product vs competitors.

Bought in April and started failing in late June. Manufacturer keeps saying they will honor warranty with a return authorization. Still have not seen it. It all began with a firmware update which appeared to have gone fine. Speeds began to drop over the next month, VoIP calls dropping, status in interface was wrong, would not keep IPv6 settings, factory restore did not restore to factory, many calls, ticket, emails still all unresolved. The netgear Nighthawk that I replaced it with is so much more refined on QoS, firmware updates, IPv6 much easier set up, easier installation, better interface, USB interfaces work and better integrated, ability to better label and map devices. Honestly this TP-link router is not ready for prime time when compared to its competing products.. Spend a few more bucks on another brand.
