WiFi router with fast speeds and coverage area
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TP-Link Archer BE12000 is a Tri-Band WiFi 7 Router that has fast speeds and a large coverage area. The router supports speeds up to 12 Gpbs as it uses three bands for a faster and smoother WiFi experience. The LAN supports speeds up to 10G. It claims to have a coverage area up to 3,000 ft. With the high speeds the router is able to obtain, this would be a good router for gaming. This router supports a separate 6 GHz WiFi band. The product comes well packaged and the setup process was easy. I did not have any issues while setting up the router for the first time. The Quick Start guide has easy to follow directions. There’s a QR code in the Quickstart guide that allows you to scan and download the appropriate mobile app for your device. After downloading and installing the TP-Link Tether app on your mobile device, setup was straightforward. It prompts you to add a device, then use the QR code scanner within the mobile app to scan the QR code on the bottom of the router for pairing and setup. It then walked me through the process of setting up an account and creating my Wireless WiFi network. I was able to get really good speeds near the router, as well as on the other side of our home. The only way I can get a good signal on the other side of our home is by using mesh WiFi routers. This was the first router than was not a mesh type that allowed me to still connect to the router from a far distance away. Overall, the router has been working great for me.

Works great!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This review is on a TP-Link Archer BE12000. Product is packaged to protect everything. It has wrapping on all the antennas. I would suggest starting from the bottom when removing them. I love the slim/small look and delivers a large coverage signal. I haven't dropped a signal yet. Internet is smooth with no lags. Setup was easy. Just download the Tether app and click on add device. Click add a router. Power it on and scan the QR code on the bottom. It joins the routers default Wi-Fi and quickly adds the router. Plug in the modem and set the device password. Select which port you plugged your internet in(either 10 Gbps or 2.5 Gbps). Tell it which kind of connection type you have with your ISP. Choose what you want to name your Wi-Fi network and password. Then it takes about 2 minutes to set all that up. Then it asks if you want the HomeShield protection. I would suggest at least trying it free for a month. I like the routers webpage. You can do just about anything possible with this router. You can rename the connected devices, block them, set timers, NAT forwarding, VPN, IPv6, Alexa assistant, Google Assistant, EasyMesh, Reboot, Logs, Diagnostics and adding a USB drive to share with the whole network. This is a great router at a great price. I would recommend.

Nice upgrade
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced a mesh system with this router and couldn't be happier. I was having so many issues with my old system and months of troubleshooting let me to believe the problem was the router. Devices would drop off the wifi, my alexa speaker were having dropping and skipping issues when in multi room music, my phone would keep switching to 5g and have a hard time connecting back to the wifi, etc. I replaced 3 nodes with this one router and have had none of the above issues. The connections have been rock solid and the wifi speeds are great. With setting up a smart home (from when alexa was first announced) to all devices nowadays having wifi, I have 72 connected. This TP-link router is handling them all great. It states it can handle 200+. Setting up the router was very easy. Download their connection app and it guides you through the process. During setup you can choose to have the channels separate. Easier to do now than later. This makes setting up future wifi devices on 2.4 less stressful. Having the 6 directional antennas is nice so you can have more complete coverage. And remember to try and place the router up high and with as few obstructions as possible. This router has also been a great boost for my wifi security cameras. When I want to view them, they load up quite a bit faster. If you are having problems with wifi devices or are just in the market for a new router, give this one a shot. So far I'm quite pleased with it!

Quality router at a decent price
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am becoming a fan of TP Link products. I have several TP Link wireless products and every one has be easy to use and "just works." The same is true of the Archer BE12000 router. The router comes neatly packaged with the antennas already attached (a little thing I appreciate), power supply, a quality Ethernet cable and the usual quick start guides etc. Setup was very easy using the TP Link Tether app. I had no problems at all with that but I think it is important to stay patient and let it set up the router and wait for things to complete. After initial setup with Tether, I also went into the router the traditional way by IP address and set up things to my liking, again without trouble. I simply named the wireless networks what I had previously, including the same password, and all my many devices connected immeditately. Streaming services work well, including direct streaming HD recordings on my desktop pc to my TV. Throughput is very good. My broadband speed is capped at 500 mb/s and with this router I'm seeing speeds of 496 mb/s. The my old router the most I saw was around 400 mb/s. Range is also very good. I live on 2/3 of an acre and there is a strong signal all throughout my property. But the best compliment that I can give so far is that since setting up the router I haven't thought about it once. It just works.

Solid Future-Proof Primary Router - with Caveat
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TP-Link Archer BE12000 router is a top-of-the-line home or small business product. As such, it’s not a low-budget item. But it comes with a h-u-g-e assortment of features, options, and capabilities. The inclusion of Wifi-7 (among others) means this unit will make you future-safe for a long time. I like the solid build, the wall-mount option built into the unity, the thoughtful packaging, and the short, but premium, cable included. There are so many features and options that I can’t nearly address them all. Many of these require advanced attention, but they’re there for the high-level users who need them. I’ve set up a number of primary routers over the years and the BE12000 seems to be as straightforward as you might expect (and desire) for that usage. However, I was more interested in its ability to act as an additional access point as part of an EasyMesh system. This proved to be more complicated than the instructions indicated. This was undoubtedly a result of some degree of incompatibility with the controller unit. I was eventually able to get the work-around working, but it required using cables in a way that is much less convenient than I had hoped. The other thing I ran into was a surprising limit to its range. In order to use it as an extender, I needed to connect it via cable to an already existing wifi extension in my home. I thought the BE12000 would provide much better signal coverage than the older and smaller extender, but that was not the case. When I moved to my office (furthest point for signal) to see how the strength was, the BE12000 was not as strong as the old extension. Hmmm. There may well be some reason for this that’s specific to my setup, but this was a disappointment for me. Because of this, I suspect that the BE12000 deserves the many high ratings it has received. Most of them were for setups where the BE12000 is the primary router. It may be that my issues are related to using it as an extension. So, my conclusion is that the BE1200 is a strong option as your primary router and will keep you current for many years. If you’re considering it as an extension to your EasyMesh system, keep your receipt just in case.

Excellent Router with Lightning Soeeds
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a new router from TP-Link and it is a good one. I am coming from an old WiFi 6 router and was interested in WiFi 7. Not all devices can run WiFi 7 but this will definitely make you future proof for some time. When connected to WiFi 7, I had excellent speeds on my iPhone and Mac. File transfer locally was incredibly quick it had an 10GBps wired port) and I feel it used my WiFi internet more efficiently. Setup was straightforward. You can plug it in out of the box and it will work. It walks you through setup including setting up security on your network and setting up the 5ghz and 6ghz networks including guest networks. It covers up to 3000 sq feet (my house is around 2500 and I hade full bars, even downstairs). You can also connect up to 128 devices simultaneously which seems like a lot (and it is) but more and more items need internet so, again, you are future proof. It is a smaller device so it has a smaller footprint. I’m not a fan of multi antenna routers (looks messy) but it does amplify the coverage. Overall I am very happy with this router.

Can't Go Wrong With This One
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one seriously good wireless router! The WiFi 7 capabilities are unexpectedly outstanding with exceptional coverage range here in my home. Seriously, I can go jsy about anywhere here on my property and have a solid connection. From my living room to the bedroom on the far side of the house and maintain a solid connection through walls. I've even ventures far into my backyard which is easily a couple of hundreds away, and through walls, and not loose a signal. Impressive to say the least. Speed is equally impressive despite all the moving around I've been doing! I've had both of my laptops along with a few iPhones and a couple of Android phones at one time connected. Lets not leave out the couple of smart TV's connected with a good solid picture with no lag from any sort of lag from a bad connection and I can safely say this router has gone beyond my expectations. It simple does not fail me in any way! Overall this has been one of the best wireless router I've used, and I've used a lot of them.

Full Coverage. Fast. Stable. Future Proofing.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To sum all of my thoughts up in one sentence, this router is easy to use, fast, stable, has solid coverage, comes with an excellent app, and should cover all of your needs not only now, but also into the future. Frankly, the design is about what you would expect. A plain flat rectangle, simple-ish and not TOO large. The six antenna placed along the side and back, are a look, but are just norm with this type and style of device. I do like the plain black color. It is solidly built and has good connectivity with 5 ethernet (LAN) ports (I 10 Gbps), USB, several partition format, and server supports, which are all nice adds. I also appreciate the number of wired ports, which sometimes are lacking. Set-up is very easy. Connect it to your modem, download their Tether app, and follow the steps. That’s it. I had zero issues. The app gives you a nice amount of functionality, and I like the UX and design. You can see and control nearly every aspect of your network. TP Link does offer some basic security and parental control services here, more for an added fee (you do get some trials), but frankly, I was not really interested. Just something to note, as some may be looking for more. As a whole, I am pleased with the software experience. Performance, well, is great. Devices connect without issue, stay connected, and do so all over my space. To be clear, my space is not that large, but if I am correct, I think this is rated for 3,000 sq ft, so it should meet many people’s needs. That said, building construction, floors, location ...etc…will always play a role and should be considered. In any case, all of my devices are solid, and I have been getting great speeds. I am sitting on 500 Mbps internet speeds and while my wired connections still outpace them, the W-Fi speeds I am seeing are not far behind. I also seemingly cannot even slightly dent the connections. I typically have over 30? devices connected (so a lot but I am sure others have more), and while they are not usually all active at the same time, I can hammer away with concurrent streams (4K), games, updates and other uses and everything hums along and is rock solid. I really have no complaints. Quite honestly, while most of my main devices have Wi-Fi 7, many do not, so it is nice to know that as more come onto my network, I will have that capability. Further, while I currently do not need more power from this router, it is also nice to have peace of mind that I could simply add another TP-Link device with their Easy Mesh system and be covered there as well. That future proofing is nice to see, and sometimes hard to find these days. In the end, I really like this router. It does everything I need it to, and it does it well. Easy to set-up. Nice app. Fast speeds. Stable connectivity. Blanket coverage. Future proofing. It is a mix of performance and features.

Ultimate Multi-Device Performance Upgrade
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using this TP-Link router for a couple weeks now, and it has been a massive step up from my old Wi-Fi 5 router. My house is 2800 square feet, and I have had zero issues with coverage or signal drops since I made the switch. My home has a multitude of smart home products, streaming devices, and gaming consoles where my old setup was starting to struggle whenever everyone was online at the same time. This router handles that heavy load without hesitation. The stability is incredible because I no longer deal with random lag while gaming or buffering during a movie/show. Right out of the box though you can tell this is a premium device as it has a modern upscale design that is much more aesthetically pleasing than those old bulky and obscure shaped routers. Additionally, any time it comes to upgrading or messing with your Internet / Wi-Fi it always seems like a gamble as to whether it is going to “work.” However, setting this thing up was actually surprisingly painless. I just jumped into the Tether app and was pretty much good to go in about 15 minutes. One of the things I appreciate the most with this router is the “Multi-Link Operation.” This basically lets your devices talk to the router on multiple frequencies at the exact same time. Instead of your phone or laptop “waiting in a single line” there are “multiple lines” that keep all the devices moving. It essentially just makes everything feel much snappier. The actual hardware on the back is just as impressive as the wireless signal since most routers only give you one fast port, but this has five 2.5G ports. This means my PC and gaming consoles can all have that extremely fast wired connection at the same time. I also take advantage of the “Quality of Service" feature to give my most important devices priority. I currently have my Xbox and living room TV set as the priorities, so they always get the best connection even if someone else is doing a big update or downloading a movie in another room. At the end of the day, it is just a really reliable and simple router. It is perfect if you want the latest Wi-Fi 7 features for heavy gaming and streaming but do not want to deal with a complicated setup. It is fast, looks upscale, and definitely felt like a major upgrade the second I got it set up.

Works Great, Easy, and Better than my Old One
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been looking for a new, affordable Wi-fi 7 router for a while to replace my old Google Wi-Fi mesh system. Why? because ideally I wanted a single router that could cover the same area as my google mesh system without the significant loss in speed that I see with my existing mesh system. From the main hub to the other three nodes with the mesh system, I typically have about a 50% loss in speed, and the mesh nodes are not that far from each other. More recently, I also find that I have to reset the entire mesh network often as it gets bogged down. I have also read articles stating that Wi-Fi 7 can improve download and upload speeds and make Wi-Fi networks more stable. I have been skeptical, but I'm to the point where, working from home more and more, I need a more reliable Wi-Fi network to access my company's server. Not to mention my kids increasing demands with more online based homework. And we game a lot and stream a lot. This new TP-Link actually does all it claims and is affordable too. I was able to place it in a central location on the main level of my two story house that also has a finished basement. I have faster, more reliable network. The coverage is excellent and actually extends further outside of my house in the front and back yard than my old mesh system. So far, I could not be more pleased with this router. It just works. I am good with tech but want things like this to work right out of the box. Set up was easy. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade from an older router or mesh system.
