It works!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It does work, be mindful of your actual internet connection speed. I bought this for a system that doesn’t have enough strength. It works but has compromised my internet connection overall. Do you due diligence so your not wasting money. Heads up: If you have low power WiFi don’t get WiFi 6-7 you may not have more than 2-3..

Posted .Hi KinyoniaL,
Thank you for your review. Wi-Fi extenders utilize half-duplex transmission. As a result, throughput when connecting to the extender may be reduced when compared to the router. This is an industry standard for Wi-Fi extenders and is not exclusive to TP-Link.
In your case, we recommend relocating the unit to a position in your home where the router's Wi-Fi signal is sufficiently strong; yet far enough from the router to effectively extend its range, and making sure its firmware is fully up to date using the steps in our FAQ: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/1406/
If you'd like assistance with any of these steps, please reach out to our support team using any of the resources included with the product, or from our official website, and we'll gladly have a Support Agent follow up with you directly: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/contact-technical-support/
Thank you,

Good but not perfect.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a wifi extender, works well with 4 and 5. However 6E is iffy unless the extender is in line-of-sight with the router. This defeats some of the reasons I bought a 6E extender and this limits its purpose. It works with 6E but not too well through drywall walls.

70/10 to 230/330
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After moving, I ended up on the other side of the house from the router. My WiFi internet speeds were averaging 70/10 even though my internet plan is 1000/1000 and I have high-end equipment. Even from LAN, I couldn't smoothly stream a 10mbps video from my PC to Nvidia Shield, the signal was just too weak for a reliable connection. After pairing this extender to my Netgear router, it created a new SSID that provided a 230/330 internet speeds, which is multitudes faster than before. The more reliable connection also solved my LAN issues, so even high bitrate videos stream smoothly across the network. If you're looking to increase the quality of your connection for improved speeds, this is definitely the way to do it.

Good extender, hard to install
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was anything but a simple installation. I had to turn off my TP-Link router's Access Control, find the IP address of the new extender, log in to the extender and set up everything manually. With this new wifi source (same SSID as my existing wifi network) all devices needed to reconnect to wifi, which is pretty much expected. No Wifi 6! The extender has been working fine - no hiccups - for about 5 days. TP-Link makes good networking products, but the installations are almost always harder and more complex than advertised.

Fixed my issue!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a few wifi dead zones in my home. I did speed tests in certain areas of the home and got low readings. I installed this and it instantly fixed my issues. It does set up a different wifi signal than your original, so you will have to reconnect devices to the new signal name.

Great way to extend your network
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had similar units in the past but this is one of the best so far. My home lab sit in a part of my house where I can't get connectivity. Using this allowed me to connect the entire lab.

Wifi 6e has a great signal coverage but...
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So since 6ghz is newer bandwidth it has zero traffic. The only downside of the 6e routers they are designed not to send 6g signal from the get go. Now, having a wifi 6e extender is useless to have. But the coverage is great its just that it doesn't have 6ghz signal to extend if your router (tplink) automatically turns that 6ghz signal off.
