This was a game changer for me! My internet can be spotty which is horrible for playing rocket league for example. I didn’t know what route I should go but I gave this a shot. I play in a room one floor above and on opposite side of my router. Plugged this into the hallway outside of the room I play in and I have had NO issues since. Very much worth it & highly recommend

Let me start by saying that this router is probably overkill for most people. I purchased it for specific reasons. My security cameras are a far distance from my house and power outlets. This is one of the few extenders that puts out 30db wireless power. The most allowed by the FCC. It fits nicely in my back porch outlet. I could have used a regular router as an extender and got the same results for less money, but I would have had to mount it somewhere and run the power wire to it. I also own a TP-Link as my main router, so this extender connected as a mesh extender flawlessly. Also, I prefer to set up my equipment using a web browser without signing up for an account. TP-Link lets you do that, although they also have the option of making an account and using an app. The only negative I have is that it did not update its firmware automatically. I had to do it manually. Not something most people will do. If you want a powerful extender that tucks away nicely or extends 6ghz wireless, you may want to pay the premium for this. If you want to save money, there are other good extenders or routers that will do the same thing for less money.

I've had similar units in the past but this is one of the best so far. My home lab sit in a part of my house where I can't get connectivity. Using this allowed me to connect the entire lab.

As a wifi extender, works well with 4 and 5. However 6E is iffy unless the extender is in line-of-sight with the router. This defeats some of the reasons I bought a 6E extender and this limits its purpose. It works with 6E but not too well through drywall walls.

I had a few wifi dead zones in my home. I did speed tests in certain areas of the home and got low readings. I installed this and it instantly fixed my issues. It does set up a different wifi signal than your original, so you will have to reconnect devices to the new signal name.

After moving, I ended up on the other side of the house from the router. My WiFi internet speeds were averaging 70/10 even though my internet plan is 1000/1000 and I have high-end equipment. Even from LAN, I couldn't smoothly stream a 10mbps video from my PC to Nvidia Shield, the signal was just too weak for a reliable connection. After pairing this extender to my Netgear router, it created a new SSID that provided a 230/330 internet speeds, which is multitudes faster than before. The more reliable connection also solved my LAN issues, so even high bitrate videos stream smoothly across the network. If you're looking to increase the quality of your connection for improved speeds, this is definitely the way to do it.
