I had to update the firmware a couple of times too. I get great signal in my bonus room with this wifi 6e extender. I think its better to use it as a access point.

Only point to note that the 6 GHz signal still remains vulnerable to the presence of walls and I was forced to keep the device directly in the dead zone instead of in the middle. Except for this, it truly gave me a mesh network for the home along with my similar TP-Link router (AXE75)

If you haven't noticed a significant improvement in Wi-Fi coverage after installing the extender, we recommend relocating the unit to a position within your home where the router's Wi-Fi signal is sufficiently strong; yet far enough from the router to effectively extend its range. Please verify the RE status LED is indicating a solid connection.
