I bought this at the end of March. The install went great, but after a few days the pair stopped talking to each other. After contacting TP-Link the software was updated, reinstalled and things seemed good for a few days. Then the same problem reoccured. Contacted Best Buy to ask about a return or replacement with something better and found out that due to trying to fix it myself I exceeded the 15 day return policy. That is rubbish. If anyone from Best Buy reads this, this is no way to conduct business. I was directed by the live chat person to go to the store (which wasn't taking phone calls right now) and deal with a human being direct. I haven't been in any store in 14 months and am not going to risk my life to upgrade my wi-fi system. At this point I can not recommend this product and certainly can not recommend Best Buy. Save your money and go to a retailer that has a real return policy.

I purchase the TP-Link Deco M9 Plus AC2200 router a couple of weeks ago. I downloaded the set-up app and began the process.
The router had trouble connecting my various devices. I'd get one connected, then go to the next one and it would knock the first one offline. After considerable effort (many hours), and lots of restarting / rebooting, I was able to get 4 devices connected - and then the system would disconnect one or more of the devices. It also had trouble recognizing the satellite hub. I tried tech support, but they were not very helpful. I finally took the device back for a full refund - thank you, Best Buy, for your 14 day return policy.

Do not buy if you will need any adjustments. TP-Link has programmed it so that you or your ISP cannot adjust the SSID. Will not work properly with multiple devices on video conference/meeting/classes. Oh, and figure it out within 15 days or you are out any refund or exchange. Save your time and money. Stick with Linksys or Netgear.

It is easy to setup but not user friendly. There is no way you can change channels, and they also do not allow user to select which WiFi 5g or 2.4g to be connected. A lot of time, my iphones are connected to 2.4ghz WiFi which has lower speed. Do not buy it.

Still not getting the higher speeds that I anticipated. Plus, I have had to reset them multiple times. A friend of mine asked for a recommendation and I suggested A different brand over these. They were easy to set up and look good so I didn’t give them a 1 Star.

Terrible mesh system. Probably the worst in the market space. I am a network engineer by trade and have used many network product from TP-Link, but this was the worst or the worst. I have a 3500sqft ranch style house and this mesh system no matter how I configured it or where I placed the nodes did I ever get solid stable connections. I needed this to work for my family and I as we had worked and schooled from home. Two teenage kids a my and myself and this system could not keep up. Had better results with the standard equipment from Spectrum. I was very disappointed and decided to go with an Orbi system from Netgear that I am very satisfied with.

Apple IOS 14 users beware!

Apple users: after recently installing IOS 14 I was unable to install this on my network. Due to the privacy features, the iOS did not give me an option for the Deco app to access my local network. No workaround, so I went back to Netgear. Probably works ok on other operating systems.

Worked very well. Easy to set up. Integrated nicely with the P9 system I had. One of the two M9 units stopped functioning at 3.5 years. Because of the shorter lifespan I bought the Geek Squad insurance for the replacement system.

Lot of missing features for a high-end router

I bought a 3pc combo from Costco. It seems to be perfect router on paper: Tri band, Ethernet Ports, Easy Setup app, Lots of positive reviews.
However there are quite a few issues:
1. No Web Interface - No customization other than what the app provides.
2. Most Lousy Support I have seen - Lot of people on forums struggling to get any response from TP LINK about the Web Interface availability. Getting no response or stupid responses from TPLINK support.

3. No way to configure 2.5G vs 5G channel a device uses.
I am currently still evaluating this router with single router configured. So can't comment on the node performance yet. But from what I have seen so far, router is performing fine but the support and configurability is missing.

Frequent dropped connections, poor support

I've used a 3pc M9 Plus mesh system for little under 5 months now. I have devices running on multiple operating systems constantly dropping connections. Laptops won't connect after coming back from sleep, mobile devices can't connect after being away from home. Every time I come home I need to verify that my phone has WiFi connection. Most of the time it won't and the error is either "Unable to authenticate connection", "Out of range" or simply "Unable to connect". These issues happen almost every day, multiple times. I have tried resetting all the decos and it still did not work. Moreover you cannot use the same SSID and password after you reset. If you do, you cannot setup your network, that means changing the WiFi settings in all your devices. I contacted support with the issues and they keep asking me to review FAQs. The FAQs indicate there are a lot of things that can go wrong. Here are a couple of links I was provided to troubleshoot and they tell you the story.

Support team told me they will send an email to senior team 3 days ago and I've asked for updates and no one has responded yet.
