I’ve had this router for about a year now and it’s been fantastic! I have yet to reset it due to streaming quality issues, and even if i did, the app would be easy to do it! My only gripe is that it has only one wired Ethernet port.

Love the simplicity of the google Wifi app. The router itself works great, solid signal and the Speedtest usually score faster than I’m supposed to be getting. 230 mbps vs 200 mbps.

Bought this and Asus version when on clearance. Can use them as Google wifi mesh system with more powerful antenna. Work pretty well, though they do seem to lock up occasionally. Not as customizable as some other routers.

Overall, really good router. Setup is cool and easy with the OnHub app, "Google On,"which is required to setup the router. The app is available on both iOS and Android. I have yet to test the range, but I'm confident it is good ranges. Only downside is that there is no IP address configuration capabilities. Everything is setup through the app so you can't modify to much like the frequency. The router also determines if your device will use the 5ghz band or the 2.4ghz depending on range and hardware on the device. I would give it a five if it allowed for more customization, but for those not tech savvy, this is one of the better routers for the price.

The app can be tricky to find in the App Store but man is it worth it. Easy setup, no need to log in to a computer. Create and manage networks on your phone. Temporarily prioritize devices and monitor connection status and speed in real time. I also has great range and supports up to 11 devices in my house at once with 3 of them streaming. I love this thing. Only drawback is you only get one hard wire Ethernet port, so choose the product that gets it wisely.

Don't know a lot about WiFi routers BUT have had a few over the years and this BY FAR blows the rest out of the water.. I have a full signal through out all 3 levels of my house on ALL my wireless devices, flawless streaming and no more complaints from the family from a weak/no signal

While many of the reviews on this website glow about this product, various online channels have called it "great" but almost always attach a caveat, most often is the "not for power-users", which troubled me, especially when the device is at an MSRP of $199.99. What I've found is a router that not only outperforms most in it's class but goes above and beyond on the back-end that eliminates the need to have "power-user" abilities because it automates most of those functions. It would seem that websites like CNET just either don't get the OnHub or are collectively afraid of it & the future it presents. The strength of the WiFi in this device is always testing itself against other networks in your area finding the best possible way to connect to various devices and, in my experience, has eliminated the need for me to hardwire any device in my household hence the 1 LAN port (I was initially worried about this myself but the OnHub works in such a way that makes LAN almost pointless, this is the future). The necessary App works beautifully & actually let's you easily track all bandwidth which can be helpful for those with a bandwidth cap. It's also just plain fun to view bandwidth-usage in real-time and name all the devices on your network. All in all, the OnHub reminds me a lot of Apple, circa 2007. It was clearly the brightest consumer computer experience in the market, early adopters were having a blast but the old guard were holding onto Windows with bear-claws. The future of this device obviously depends on Google & their ability to market/sell the device as well as their dedication to supporting it through updates but if you are looking for a router that will work flawlessly with various devices in your home, old or new, and/or are living with heavy internet-users, this is definitely an option you should look into. Easily the best router I've ever owned. Now, time to brew some coffee.

I received this as a gift, and was ecstatic. I was reading up on it before, and was planning on buying it myself, so the gift was a pleasant surprise. It's as easy as they say - plug it in, plug in your network, and download the app. I've had a steady network connection, and I like the idea that I can check into my network when I'm away, as we've automated a lot of the house, which requires a steady network connection. Plus, it just looks cool.

This router does a great job overall. We have 9 devices in our household and it handles them well. Setup was easy and quick and it's fun to check out the functionality and status on the phone app. I guess I expected everything to be working at all times at lightening speed, but haven't really had that experience...sometimes it's a bit slow if working at or near capacity. But this router is WAY WAY better than the one we purchased just a few years ago. Also looks kinda sharp and space aged on the table.

Does not have all the adjustments or speed of the new asus router, however setup is extremely simple, antenna array has a small dish in front of the router to airm directionally for that remote area. Overall very good so far.

This appeared to be another over hyped router until I decided to add a network over power extension. This allowed me to put the router right in the middle of the house which is far from the cable's router. The cable router is faster in the one room but is otherwise useless because of the drop-off. I may follow the recommendation to bridge (shut off) the cable's wifi. Thanks Google for the great whole house wifi!

This is by far the best router I've ever owned. From the ability to handle all of the computers and wireless devices that I have in my home, to the iOS App that I can use to control the devices on my network is amazing. I have not had to reset my router not even once (something I was constantly doing with other routers). Even the appearance of the router is amazing. So clean and streamlined.

Immediate upgrade to my home network - the OnHub has had a massive impact on our WiFi. Internet speeds and signal strength are consistent and fast. Coverage/range is phenomenal. Grab one of these before they're no longer available! *Also recommend purchasing a CAT6 or CAT7 cable to connect your modem to the router to make sure you're getting the best download/upload speeds possible.

Aside from being a bit pricey this bad boy rocks. It replaced my D-Link Wireless N router. The broadcast signal and strength are much better. No complaints here.
