super easy to install / setup. quick note about pairing it with Alexa... You have to go into the settings in the tp-link app for the device and toggle the "Remote" button. Otherwise, Alexa won't be able to find the device to pair with it. Other than that, works great!  see less

I’ve got a couple of these and they work excellent! Way better than their older ones that took up two outlets. Worth the extra couple of bucks over the previous version.

Easy to set up. Install KASA app from playstore or appstore. Few clicks and it recognized my device. Linked to both my amazon echo dot and Google Home mini. Works with both. Note: Connect to 2.4GHz of your router. You may face connection issues if you are connected to 5GHz.

These are fantastic. Of all the smart devices I have in my home, these are the best. They are reliable and easy to configure. The relay in them makes a very satisfying click when it changes position. Smart bulbs devices can often be finicky but these plugs that I am currently using to control 3 monitors, a couple of desk lights and one of those wax melting scent defusers are rock solid! The Kassa line of smart home devices has actually started to turn my opinion around on TP-Link products.

I have reviewed these items before. I keep buying more so they ask for another review. Easy to set up. Good app control. Timers, schedules, nicknames. Works with Alexa. Two things I like most: 1) If you forget to turn out lights before bed you can use app or Alexa and it’s done. 2) If your carrying something and can’t flip the switch just ask Alexa and again it’s done. You do need Google or Alexa to control hands free voice, but you can get an echo dot for $20. I have 3 strategically located around the house.

This is my second one of these. I love the first and have it plugged into my Presto coffee maker (It didn't work with the others). I tell Alexa to turn on the coffee every morning before getting out of bed and voila the magic happens. So fun...especially on cold mornings.

I wanted to add another wireless plug to use to control my Christmas lights. I already had the tplink bulbs and the wemo plugs which have worked excellent through my wireless smart home network. This one worked just as well and was on sale bundled with the amazon echo.

The Smart mini-plug is an excellent adjunct to your Alexa (or Google Mini.) You can get special bulbs to control lights (the only way if you want dimmable), or use this plug; Christmas tree lights controlled by Alexa, TV on and off controlled by Alexa - allows you to broaden almost anything that can be turned on and off. Also, you can move it around - I want to control this appliance today, this one next week, etc.

This smart plug is greater than expected. I use this mainly for my bedside lamp & night time lamp in our living room. You can automate your home and use it as a timer by putting whatever you plug in on a set schedule. Everything is set up through an app and you can control your plugged in item through that whether you are home or not which is great. I also have it connected to my Alexa so I can command her to turn my lights (pretty useful when your hands are full!). Great product!

I linked it up to my Echo dot and plugged it into my lights, leave the room, tell Alexa to turn off light, walking into the room, turn on light, in bed and need to turn light on and off, Alexa....so convenient...all the smart home convenience at a great price.

This was actually the third plug I've bought. The first two I bought off of Amazon when the price gets to $29.99 or lower. I love this product, and how it makes it easy to connect with the Amazon Echo to do voice commands turning lamps off and on around the house as well as any other plugged in items you may have. I recommended this to a friend who had trouble setting it up, but you have to realize that your phone or tablet with the Kasa App has to be connected to a 2.4 GHz wifi router to work properly. After initial set up than you can switch back to 5.0 GHz if you want. When I told my friend that, he had no further issues setting the plug up.

Setup is straightforward Scheduling works even if internet is out. Works well with google home. Too wide, hogs space on power strips. Some long term connectivity issues. Recommend using DHCP reservation on IP.

I caught 2 of these on sale without any real purpose for them. I have a fan in my bedroom where I have a Google hub that controls my lights. I added this to my fan so I could add it to the good night routine. Now Good Morning turns my lights on and the fan off, and Good Night turns my lights off and the fan on. The process to link the device by way of the Kasa app is pretty standard. Connect to the device by wifi, tell it what network to connect to, and then add it to your app. Overall it was pretty easy to set up.

Came across a flash sale that included the TP-LINK - Smart Wi-Fi Plug Mini for almost nothing when you purchased an Amazon-Echo, 2nd generation. Super easy to get up and working. We're running holiday lights off it. "Alexa, turn on the Christmas Lights"

This was my first Wi-Fi outlet and I’m very impressed. The size is perfect small square which fits in a double outlet just perfectly leaving room for the other outlet to be used either buy another appliance or with another Wi-Fi outlet. I mostly impressed with the scheduling allowing an item to come on at sunset which changes with whatever your time zone is. This part is amazing to me and I’m looking forward to replacing all of my digital timers with these Wi-Fi outlets to schedule lights and lamps. It does have a vacation, away and a timer options as well. Very versatile!

In my small apartment, I have 3, one connected to a small light stand at an entrance and one in a bedroom, the other connected to an audio receiver. These can be all connected to Google Mini. When I come home in a dark, I just ask Google to turn them on. This is very convenient, especially at night, when I can't reach the light switch easily. Or I can just tell Google to "turn on an audio" while laying on the couch. Setting up seems a little tricky but once you follow the instruction from the Kasa app, it can be done easily.

Purchased this along with amazon echo dot as a bundle deal. I have it connected to a lamp in the living room. Downloaded the app for the plug and works perfectly every time. Also connected it to echo and works well with Alexa. Wish I bought a few more.

Bought this item for my alea.it is so nice that if you are not home and it gets dark you just go under app and hit the lamp it turns on the lamp and now home is dark no longer. Great for a coffee pot. Tell alexa turn on coffee maker and wells..coffee

The setup was easy as pie the app is easy to use and it works great and there's so much more that it could be used for than I originally thought.

Great product! It integrated easily with my Amazon Echo and I can control it with IFTTT. I reboot my router daily but don't need to reboot this smart plug which I hear you have to do with the WeMo. I'd definitely recommend it to friends and family.
