works well but needs app to function

we bought this to tie in a wired printer to a new location without a nearby port. This particular router has minimal buttons and really has to be configured by use of the app if you use a closed network. Once you have done that you are good to go, delete the app! You can also program this thing to turn itself off during non-use hours which helps a bit with the concern about security. Has worked well to date

This extender is simple to install and easy to setup as long as you don't overthink and keep expectations low. You can pay twice as much and get no better service.

    Streaming in the Man Cave

Dad is 75 and basically on house arrest during this stay-at-home. His Man Cave is about 30 yards from the router so we needed to boost the signal so he could stream movies. This little beauty did the trick, and it was easy to set up. I understand structure composition is a variable, but this seems to be about the maximum distance at which it functions. I plugged it in on the opposite side of the wood shed (an extra 15 feet), and it didn't function well.

Good Value for Remote IP Phone Connection

My office gave me a Cisco IP Phone model 303 so I can work from home and still be on the office phone network with my own extension number like I'm actually there. The ideal setup is to have the IP phone right next to my work computer so that I can be on the phone and look at my computer monitors at the same time. Problem was that the IP phone needed to be connected directly to the router which was in a different room than where my work computer was, so when I had a call and needed to look at something at the computer at the same time, I either had to run between the two rooms or just bring my computer temporarily to the room where the phone was. Running an ethernet cable between the two rooms was out of the question -- too far and too messy. After looking at various solutions including a device made by Cisco, I settled on this TP-Link N300 Wi-Fi Range Extender with Ethernet Port. I plug it into an outlet near my desk, plug the IP phone into it and voila! A simple elegant solution for less than 20 bucks! I deduct one star because of the placement of the ethernet port at the bottom where it tends to get in the way of anything plugged to the other electrical outlet. It's a problem especially if you are going to plug it in to a power strip (my original plan) where the outlets are very close together. It would have been better if the port were on the side or on top, where other brands usually place it. It fits as long as the other plug is not too big (see accompanying picture).

I bought this on sale and was a bit skeptic is was going to work because of some of the reviews and price. But after I got it setup it's been working great. I am not sure how others have messed it up but it's super easy to use. It's best to use the mobile app as it gives you additional options and makes setup easier. A nice tip, if u configure it with the same name as your current wifi and the same pass, the devices will automatically switch between them when one has better reception than the other and you will see less interruption when walking around and switching connection.

The computer was in second floor bedroom. In the past to get connected to internet we had to run an Ethernet cable through the house from router on first floor to second floor bedroom. This produced plugged into electrical outlet in second floor bedroom and we ran short Ethernet cable from outlet to computer. This eliminated the need for us to run 100ft Ethernet cable though the house. My son plays games and there has not been any issues going from Just using Ethernet cable to this device. Works awesome! Very happy with device. It was easy to set up.

Great little extender! Be sure to read installation carefully and you will easily install this great extender. No need to plug extender into router. Just plug unit into the wall, connect it to a device, get on line and your device will guide you to it's site.

This was easy to connect. I’ve moved it a couple of times and it reconnects with no problem. The price was within my range. My internet service isn’t always the best, so I purchased this to get a better signal in rooms that are far from the Modem/router supplied by my ISP. Seems to be working.

I had to exchange since it doesn't support 5G speeds. It's a good product but it drops your speed but it's better than having no coverage.

I have a doubt at first on ordering it but I gave it a try coz of the good reviews and how cheap it is. I’m so happy I did it :-) Products arrived on time and in very good condition. Upon opening box some of the inflated plastic were popped (as you can see in the collage photo) but my orders were all good and no damage. Setting it up gave me no hassle coz our router is WPS ready (I suggest downloading the app, it’s much easy and faster) and I’m no computer geek so I did the set-up quickly. My family were so happy and pleased that their gadgets’ speed improved and much faster than before. I bought three by the way, one for my room, for my son and for my sister’s room in the second floor (router is in the first floor). Much mahalo! (plenty shaka’s! ^_^)

I installed a Ring video door bell about one month ago. although my hose is only 1750 sq. ft. I could not get a strong Internet connection. the Ring app stated "Poor Internet connection". The Ring door bell even stated that I had no Internet connection at one point. After setting up it resolved my connection issues and my connection is strong. I researched various Wi-Fi extenders and the TP 300 had good reviews and the price was right. I received the product faster that originally told by 2 days. It literally took 2 minutes to setup. The instructions are very easy to follow. Basically just plug in to an outlet near your modem. Push the WPS, push the button on the Wi-Fi extender it will light up and blink, when the light stops blinking unplug and plug in to an outlet in the area where the wi-fi is low or non-existent. Open the settings on your phone, search for the wi-fi. It will be the same as before but will have an ext after the network. Just put the same password in and connect and you will be all set.

This works great and easy to set up. Less than two minutes. I did not want to spend very much for a WiFi extender and this did the trick. I needed it for my DirecTV HD DVD for on demand movie titles. Downloads fast enough for 720P streaming but for 1080P I have to download first then watch it. I have DL speeds ranging 50-65MPS with Charter Cable Internet so I should be able to stream 1080P as well. I think it is DTV's compression for on Demand whereas Phone and Tablet apps and Amazon Firestick streams at 1080P with no problems.
