For 20+ years I've been using the old X-10 technology to automate our window candles and Xmas lights. I bought 15 of these to automate all that via my phone and Wifi. Super easy to set up, reliable and has great range.

Would recommend. Pretty easy to use, just scan the QR code with the app and it connects automatically. You can turn it on or off from anywhere as long as you have WiFi at home and internet on the device your using to control it.

I've had weemo plugs in the past and these are 1000x better. These are smaller and I never have any issues connecting or using them. Set up was painless and fast. I control them through my Google Home app.

This item works nicely with google home or Apple home. I tryed it on both systems and it was easy to setup. I use the swichers for local in house contol.

Making sure that my smart home devices are consistent and work when requested is the base line and I have used other brands that don’t deliver like these do. Highly recommend.

Have had these for a few months now, and I absolutely love them. I get to not only set a timer for my projector at night. In case I fall asleep, but I also get to turn off my lights from anywhere in the radius of the same WiFi. Which is a huge plus for me as someone who always forgets to turn off my lights

I use these plugs for my connections to Alexa. Setup was fast and easy. I've never had a failure or disconnection problem. I recommend you download the app and setup with that. Once youre setup in app, Alexa connected with "Alexa discover devices" and its easy sailing afterwards.

For the price it’s perfect. You get 3 smart plugs in the box. Download the Tapo App. The set up is straight foward. You can name each plug, that way you can place them, and know which one is which via wifi. They are small so the won’t block your other outlet on the same plate. Once you start using these smart plugs, your gonna wonder why you didn’t buy these earlier. You can set up schedules which is very helpful. And it even lets you knoe how much energy the item you have plugged is using. Overall, I really liked the purchase, and they are on sale for $25, down from the $50.

Works as advertised. Highly recommended. APP was easy to use as-well. Download their APP, better than adding on apple home. Wait for it to go on sale!!!

I've had these switches for a long time. I control them through Home Assistant. I'm very happy with how they work. I plan to get more of them.

I needed a plug I could control away from home for my dog and plants!! These were simple to connect and setup automatic times.

I love these! We have I think about four sets now. I like to keep my plugs with my Christmas items so that I don't have to go searching for them. They are easy to use and it works in my Apple Home App. You can name them whatever you want and turn them on or off manually or set up a schedule. The only downsize is if you set up a schedule they only stay on for four hours. It's not like you can say turn on at 5:30pm and shut off at midnight. So I mainly use these for the tree, holiday indoor lights, window candles etc and I just shut them off when I head to bed.

[Employee of bestbuy] I fidgeted for two days before realizing that my phone must be connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi band to add these to the Home app in iOS. Before learning this, I could add these to the Tapo app without issues. However, when I tried to add these to the Home app, the device's LED would change from blinking blue and orange to solid blue. So, I knew that it was communicating with the device. However, it would report that it could not pair the device to the Home app after two minutes. Connecting my phone to the 2.4GHz band solved the problem in the end. Suppose your router does not broadcast two separate SSIDs for 2.4GHz and 5GHz. In that case, you must temporarily turn off the 5GHz or lower the power broadcast in the 5GHz band until the setup is complete. Once this is done, you can restore the 5GHz band on your router. The second issue I noticed was that the Home app said the devices were unresponsive after being successfully added. I had to wait 5 minutes, force close the Home app, and reopen it before it said the device was available. I deducted one star because no issues occurred when adding my Philips Hue bulbs. I could add them while connected to the 5GHz band, and they showed immediate availability after pairing. I give it four stars because it works well once correctly set up. The devices quickly respond to input within the Tapo and Home apps. It is also a great value. Do not hesitate to purchase if you plan to use this within the proprietary app. This device might require some intermediate tech skills if you plan to use this within Homekit or another Matter-based ecosystem.

This is a decent device. It works well enough. You can program it to turn on or off at whatever time you desire. You can easily turn whatever you have plugged in on or off from your phone. Set up is a little confusing but one tou understands, it's easy enough.
