Works better and more convenient than mechanical timers. Too bad unit for wall switches couldn't be wired for my house.

This plug works great but due to size and shape takes up Space in an outlet.

HS100 Smart Plug I am so heavily in the TP-Link and Alexa universes that I can never have enough TP-Link smart devices. This Wi-Fi smart plug is now also compatible with Google Assistant. You can group a series of these plugs via the Kasa app (for iOS and Android) and Alexa. (I can’t comment on Google Assistant because I don’t use that.) I love that I can use this smart plug as a timer, setting up individual on/off for each day of the week, or use it to power on devices remotely or via Alexa voice control. The “away” mode turns the power to the plug on and off at random times within a prescribed time period so that it appears that someone is home. All this is configured through the Kasa app. Alexa just gives you voice control to the on/off feature of the plug. Set-up is easy, and it requires a smart phone with the downloaded Kasa app. Submitted as part of a free sample program.

The unit was easy to set up and use. The problem came when I tried to plug something into the outlet underneath. I was unable to plug anything in to the socket underneath.

I purchased the smart plugs they are ok but I got rid of them and just purchased 2 smart lights instead I have smart lights around my entire house now

You have to install other apps like Kasa so be prepared

I’ve been using a couple of TP-links Wi-Fi plugs including this one for the last few months. I love how well they work with Alexa and how easy the app is to you. I love it so much I just ordered another Wi-Fi set, smart light bulbs and one of their powerline kits so I don’t have to pay money for slow internet when I move into my new home in the countryside on June 1st. The voice commend on Alexa is great. You simply turn the bedroom lights on and they turn on. You do need to have an option for each device turned on to use it with Alexa. This option is called “remote connected” and you’ll find it in the Kasa app. You also get scheduling capability which is really useful. I’ve already saved money on my recent electric bills.

Greetings, I have the opportunity to test a smart WiFi plug from TP-Link. This is a great device to have. I have one connected to my Christmas tree and made a schedule to light up and turn off. I installed in my family room so when I'm out can turn it on from anywhere when I'm away. Set-up with the Kasa app is a breeze and compatibility with Amazon Alexa is so convenient. I was given this HS100 - N150 Wireless Smart Plug as part of a free sample program. Yet, it is one of the coolest items I have placed into my house! A large statement, I know, but it has added a lifestyle ease that is simple to justify. Bottom line is my wife loves it and uses it. As a tech power user, I’m constantly trying out new items in my house. But, what made this a success for my wife is her ability to talk to our lights. I use that as a way to hook up our table lamp to our home network through the Smart Plug. And tp-link has made it simple and compatible to Google Home and Mini (which I personally use) and also Amazon Echo products. Thus, my wife comes into the living room to sit down on the couch and instead of reaching down to flip the switch connected to the lamp cord, she simply says “lamp on” and BAMM! It turns on! Ok, how about ease of use? I plugged this into the socket and held the connect button and again BAMM! It automatically linked into my home WiFi network. I then connected it into tp-link’s mobile app Kasa which identified it and gave it access into my Google home devices. This may have been the quickest and simplest install I have ever experienced. Bottom line as noted above, if you want to please your wife, get this product. I’m going to get several more! I may be a reviewer of products, but this one really solves problems and is not just a nice to have.

This little smart device worked perfectly right out of the box. Synced it up with Kaza and added it to my events. Its so nice to not have to make changed to wiring in the house. Just plug and play. Strong signal in my home wifi and works very quickly when a signal is sent. Submitted as part of a free sample program.

This is an excellent smart plug and works great with the TP-Link ecosystem. I was able to control my Christmas lights easily with this device and the app. Setup was a breeze and was up and running in less than five minutes. I love how you can set a schedule and not worry about it as everything turns on and off at the desired time. It does the job, at a very affordable price. This smart plug is extremely simple to set up, and I use it for the bedroom light, and link it to my Echo at home, it works seamlessly! No more hand switching required! Please note that this is the slightly bigger version, you cannot fit two at a 2 plugs outlet. If that is what you need, there is the other TP-Link smart plug version for it. Submitted as part of a free sample program.

I just got two of these and love them. Paired easily with wifi and Google Home. These handle high current devices such as electric heaters. They also track power usage so you can see how much it cost to operate a device over time. This feature is the sole reason why I bought these over the minis. Only downside is what some other mentioned - device covers both outlets on a duplex outlet. That's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.
