I am quite tech savvy and for the life of me I could not figure out the activation process and the directions were no help at all. Was told the phone number would be in the box nope not there. I feel bad for someone who is not savvy with technology and cell phones trying to activate this. So disappointed in what would have been a good idea for just making emergency call. Tracfone needs to make their directions easier with a step by step.

I'm inder the impression that is Not how it should of been. I called and talked w/Trac Phone and their customer service stated it should have been inlocked at Best Buy. This was a gift for my 80 y/o MIL. It didnt work for her and I will be returning this phone. Totally disappointed in this purchase.

The button for that must be on the outside and easily triggered. Tracfone is not easy to work with anymore so I would recommend going with a different phone and a different carrier.
