I was having an issue with my Tmobile pay as you go flip phone service - calls basically were not working right so I decided to give this Tracfone LG442BG phone and service a try. I could not be happier. The phone itself is great - it is better than the very similar LG 450 that I was using before. The battery life is superb, the phone has a nice slick feel to it and the call quality is pretty good. My only complaint is that there is a right soft button set to browser that you cannot change and if you click it it will initiate the mobile web and start to charge you. I tried it and it took like half a minute from me. I just don't click the button (unless I guess I need to one day). I would prefer that I could make that button some other function but oh well. Tracfone itself is also excellent. It is way better than tmobile pay as you go in my opinion. The Tracfone website is one of the best I have seen of any similar site and it is easy to activate your phone, switch phone numbers, add airtime all from the site or from your phone etc. I use the $19.99 plan which comes to almost $7 a month and gives you double minutes. It lasts for 3 months and the minutes roll over - just refill before 3 months is up. Plus you can call almost any country internationally and you are charged the same rate as domestic call. There is a cool feature that lets you associate international long distance numbers with a 1 888 number that you can then set to speed dial - no more dialing any long string of numbers - brilliant. I had an issue with this and customer service helped me and it works great. They also have a wide selection of phones. The service seems to work well - no garbled or drop calls so far. To sum up - this is a great LG flip phone with great Tracfone service. I just wish I had done this much earlier.

I am very pleased with my purchase of the LG 422GB flip phone. While the phone offers ease and simplicity of use I am happily surprised at all the goodies packed into this unit. Basic phone calling yes, but in addition I was able to easily set up an email account, use the comfortable and efficient keyboard to quickly enter my contacts, discovered that the phone offers voice command for making phone calls, listening to voicemails and that the calendar permitted entries which could be cycled daily, weekly, monthly and yearly just like smartphones do. Right out of the box the LG worked smoothly with no problems. For those who just want basic phone and texting it's there but this very portable phone does much more.

Gift for my husband who had one with all the bells and whistles and hated it! This one has larger buttons and simpler to operate but still a Blue Ray with camera. So far so good!

This is my husbands second flip phone the first one would stay charged all week this one I have to charge it every 5 days and he is not using it any more than the old phone even less. A flip phone is good for him because all he wants is to be able to have me call him or he call me, he doesn't like the new fangled smart phones. I would recommend to people like my husband.

For the money, this little phone is a good basic choice. Has plenty of features and works well. Easy to use and set up.

I have a son with a disability and he needed a new flip phone when his became broken. He doesn't need a smart phone with all of the bells and whistles. He has always had a flip phone and this one fit the bill. You can text with it but it doesn't have a qwerty key pad. It can take pictures as well. For the other things it can do just check out the Best Buy website or see it at one of the stores. If you need a simple flip phone this one is what you are looking for.

The phone is easy to use and it is comfortable to put anywhere.

I purchased this phone for my 87 year old aunt and the numbers are easy to read and she is very happy with it.

My husband and I have used tracfone for more than 20 years. We aren't ready to get into all the high tech phones so these simple to use phones are perfect for us to carry with us when we travel and it would be hard to beat the price. Thank you Best Buy for still carrying the tracfone and minute cards.

If you are just looking for a great little pocket phone to make and receive calls this will meet your needs. It also has a double minutes feature,so it will increase your talk time if needed. Nothing fancy, bit does sound great and is easy to use and program.

with my husband in the hospital for over one week, a cell phone was needed because the hospital phone did not have a ring. It had a red light when a call was coming in and my husband never saw it. So I purchased this phone because it was the least expensive with minutes only.

Wanted a small, simple to use cell phone for occasional use and since this is almost identical to my old phone I didn't have to learn a new system. It isn't bulky, fits easily into a pocket or small purse and has plenty of phone number storage.

This is an awesome phone if you want something simple to use. It also has a camera which is nice. If you just want to make calls while out then this phone is so easy to use and will meet your needs

If you need a good replacement in a hurry because your smart phone took a swim while on travel, this little phone will fill the bill. It's an inexpensive way to keep you in touch with the world until you can take care of your other phone. The kind folks at BB were good enough to set things up for me in a short time.

I bought tihe TracPhone because the smart phone was not for me. I have had it for a short time and I am very happy with the results. I would recommend this phone to anyyone who has trouble with a smart phone. The idea that you only pay for minutes that you use is a great feature for anyone that doesn't talk a lot. Love the phone!

Very affordable. Easy to use. I Love a flip phone.

This is my 2nd Tracfone. I got upset with the first one I had when they needed to upgrade their phone service. The substitute phone they sent me was a used device that was low quality. Plus the upgrade took HOURS to do, so I cancelled the service. I switched to another carrier, but was not satisfied with the product. So, I came back to Tracfone. I purchased a new phone which is excellent. I like Tracfone because I don't want to pay a monthly fee for a cell phone.
