Phone is pretty darn good for $80. Only reason it didnt get 5 starts is that it is a Micro USB port vs. newer TYPE C port. Otherwise for $80 you wont get a better phone. Decent screen good battery and feels not super cheap like most budget phones. Just be gentle with the charging port on it.

Bought in store because it's compatible with Consumer Cellular service. Have never had any problems with it. Sometimes it's hard for me to get what I want on the screen, but that's just because I'm still used to my iPhone.

This was my first time owning a TCL phone. I've always used LG phones, but since I wasn't able to find a LG I tried out the TCL. I'm impressed with how simple and easy it was to set up and activate. It's a nice phone and does what I need it for, like talking, texting, and checking email and news. It also has a good battery life that lasts for at least three days.

Great value with reliable performance and ample storage!

I bought this phone as a replacement for my very old Apple iPhone (Tracfone service). I'm on a tight budget and I can't spend a ton of money on another Apple iPhone (Apple's ethics are another issue). I trusted the reviews on this phone and it instead. What a dud! Maybe I got a lemon because I can't send or download photos/video to my texting. Tracfone technical support can't figure out why. It don't have bigger fingers but texting isn't great either. One slight tap in the wrong spot on the keyboard and it shuts my texting down completely. I can't just add a contact either like I did on there either. It's a whole annoying process. I never had that problem on the iPhone. The photo quality isn't terribly great either. I'm pretty tech savvy, can follow instructions and have a loved one who works in tech. He gets frustrated too. The battery life stinks. I'd like a different phone but the return period has expired.

I chose to upgrade to the TCL A3X after trying the TCL A3 for a limited time and to get an updated OS from the Moto E 2020 I've been using for almost a year. I have become accustomed to the Snapdragon processor - so anything with Media-Tek processors is going to lag and be a less than desirable experience. This phone has a Snapdragon processor - the main reason I chose it. With the Snapdragon, you just can't go wrong. This phone is SO responsive. I was even able to do other things like set-up (uninstalling apps, making adjustments to various settings) while the system was doing updates. This phone is literally just blowing me away. I'm an old school girl - I've been using smartphones since 2013. I prefer a phone with a display of 6" or less with micro-USB charging. What I've been pining away for many years now is the LED Notification Light - and TCL has brought it back. Such a cool feature - I honestly don't understand why they aren't advertising this (I've seen it on the A3 and A3X models). Granted, I just ordered this phone yesterday and in less than 24 hours it arrived at my door. Very quick set up - I had the battery fully charged and everything set up in under an hour (the battery had been at 40% out of the box). I normally wouldn't write a review this quickly - but after having tried a half dozen phones over the past few weeks (all of which had Media-Tek processors) - this one has literally exceeded all of my expectations right out of the box (because, of course, it has a Snapdragon processor). The OS is Android 11. This is likely never going to update to Android 12 - but that is ok. If you are looking for a budget phone that will work like a mid-range phone - you really need to buy this one. Don't waste your time on the Media-Tek processors - just pay a little extra for this one and you will be very happy.

Good for the $$$. Great audio quality on the VZ cellular network. Display is adequate. Battery life is good.

I have used Tracfone for over 20 years. This is my first smart phone and I love it. Also love the fact that I don't have to have a contract.

$70 and makes a great home phone. Cheapest smartphone in stock at the store I walked to so it took me a while to decide which phone to get and the consultant was perfectly professional and I am glad they were so helpful. Android by TCL screen quality is good, camera is good and I can stream Twitch channel I created for my cat Captain on it as main camera while I teach him economics.

This is a solid phone choice and works really well.

I am satisfied with the transaction. This was a gift which I gave away.

I bought this phone for my 8 year old. It's not as advanced as my phone, but works for him for the time being. Will probably upgrade to a phone on my service plan next though.

Have not used the phone much yet but as far as I can tell it has many good features on it. I am excited to see what all it has to offer.

Works well for an inexpensive phone. Simple but gets the job done.

This is a great option for teaching younger kids how to use a phone and be responsible, with not having the huge fees associated with a phone plan.

Great phone and got it at a great price thanks to incentive of getting the calling cards along with it.

So far so good :-) Its new but working great and I like the large display makes it easier for me to see .
