    BEST ZOMBIE FILM EVER

This is hands down the best zombie movie ever. Don't watch the dub version, watch the Korean language version and read the subtitles, you will get a better story and acting. The dub just makes the acting silly at times. The film is so intense and there are plenty of zombie action and exciting scenes. It is not predictable at all and you are left caring about what happens to the people trapped on the train. Just an amazing horror flick. Highly recommended.

    Zombie Movie Done Right!

I was pleasently surprised with how well done this movie was. It was a good combination of 28 Days Later meets The Walking Dead. A story of a group of people on a train as a zombie outbreak occurs on and around the train as it makes its way to Busan. Without giving too much of the story away the story allows viewers a chance how humanity has a choice in which directions it wants to go in horrible situations. This is definitely a must own for zombie fans.

No one is safe when a disease rapidly turns victims into rabid beasts. Instead of a simple trendy set up and knock off, this zombie flick gives you a wide assortment of survivors to root for and loose cannons you want to see turned into lunch... or do you? They were foul as humans, so what will they become as carnivorous predators hunting the lovers, the pregnant woman, or the father with a young willful child in tow when all are locked into a quarantined commuter train the authorities won't permit to stop? Now just how much fun is that? Exactly (this lost one star because what would a collector do with this disc once they know the plot? If you reply, "Turn my buddies onto it!" then add that last star)!

Being half Korean, I bought this to see how well it was made and of course I love zombie flicks. Wow, I was impressed by the Hollywood quality of this film. Action packed from beginning to end-very, very sad ending. The only complaint is it's the sub titles you have to read. I always feel like I'm going to miss something with all the reading I have to do.

This movie is incredible. It blew all my expectations out of the water. The pacing is perfect, the zombies are great, the story is solid and the characters are all good too. I think George Romero would be proud of this one, even if the zombies aren't the shambling type. Buy it if you want, but watch it at the very least wherever you can! It's awesome.

I like zombie movies. When I started this one, I was kind of disappointed due to the dubbing and it not matching the subtitles at all. I almost turned it off because it was kind of slow to start. Keep watching! It gets better--a lot better! It is a really good zombie movie, so give it a chance. Watch it for about 30 minutes and then you are hooked. It is worth the wait, and then watch it again and it doesn't seem too bad at all.

I bought this dvd for a friend for Christmas so I can't really give any information regarding the quality of the dvd. I gave it a 5 for the movie. It is a Korean film, with Korean language and English subtitles but it's easy to follow. It has a lot of action. If you like the Walking Dead and World War Z, I think you would really enjoy this movie. I think it's one of the best Zombie films.

Scary zombie foreign language movie with a moral twist at the end. I really liked this one. Non stop action throughout. Audio very good. You had a choice of Korean with English subtitles or two choices of English dubbed audio. The Korean version offered DTX 5.1 surround sound . Liked that one the best.

Yes, zombies are all the rage thanks to a particular popular TV series. There have been some bad, low budget imitations. This isn't one of them, nor is it trying to be TWD. They made sure there was a real story here, with real relationships, set up beforehand. Korean zombies are very "twitchy" and don't slumber but dash full speed ahead! Some gripping moments. Very well done. Highly recommended.

Hey look, I saw a trailer for this and at first wasn't too interested because I'm not really a zombie movie/game fan. But I was curious about it so when I saw it for a cheap price, I said okay. This was way worth it! This movie jumps right into the creepy skin crawling goosebumps right off the bat. It was intense and a must see. I only have one other zombie flick, so this makes number 2.

There has to be something in the water in Korea, because the amount of great movies coming out of there in the last 20 years...is astounding. Case in point this film, a horror movie with action and heart. Korean culture and idioms play a part in this movie, especially how different generations interact. Watch this before the inevitably terrible US version, I assume is coming soon...

I sat down and watched this not really knowing what to expect. This is a serious wild ride of a film. It is in Korean (also English dubbed) and I thought it was a very well made very intense film. These are similar to the kind of zombies featured in World War Z. I do not want to give a lot away watch this film with as little information beforehand as possible I was impressed

Being a zombie addict its hard to find one that still gets my attention. I've had my eye on this one for awhile and it did not disappoint! The zombies were Excellent(look & movement), story decent, variety of cliche characters and best of all the action kept my attention and couldn't help but anticipate the arrival to Busan. Subtitles were not an issue.

One of the very few zombie movies that deserves critical acclaim. On par with 21 Days Later and Dawn of the Dead. Absolutely great thriller and horror flick. Not cheesy or sappy, nor ridiculous or far fetched. The outbreak happens, and everything else proceeds as realistically as can be expected if a zombie outbreak were possible in reality.

    * This Blu-ray was viewed on a 65" Sony Bravia 930D 4k smart tv & Onkyo 5.1 for the Audio Surround Sound format. Firstly, it must be said that this is a South Korean made movie so you will have subtitles as with any foreign movie. With that out of the way I have personally found South Korean Cinema to be great surprise & generally not for the squeamish as it pertains to their more mature & unpredictable action/horror ventures. *(Other S. Korean film Suggestions at end of review) Train to Busan yielded a nice Video Transfer tho not necessarily Demo material. The Audio was also good. Nothing spectacular jumped out at me with this surround sound presentation. This was a good movie that surprisingly held focus on Family Values or moreover the loss of them nearly as much as it concerned itself with the modern viral zombie DoomsDay scenario. It presented situations that generally don't benefit the self-absorbed individualistic characters typified in this particular zombie romp & veered more towards moralisms which I actually considered a defining strength. The Focal point here is kept small & more personal as opposed to an overview of world-wide mayhem. Hardcore zombie lovers won't find much flesh to feast on here as suspense seems to be the chosen tool of the trade. Gunplay is virtually non-existent. Overall, having been a long-time zombie film aficionado I would give this production an Average Rating. * If you find South Korean Cinema to be a worthy adventure I would suggest these Twisted little Titles for those who like it Dark & Unpredictable. - Tell Me Something - Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance - I Saw the Devil - OldBoy - The Chaser - The Isle - Phone (2002) - Shiri - The Tube - Tae Guk Gi

Zombie movies/shows are a dime a dozen now a days and usually leads to less than stellar results but this film was one of the most inventive and exciting ones I've seen in a very long time. I was hooked to the very end and can't wait for the animated prequel movie to get released here in the states. Highly recommend as long as you don't mind reading subtitles.

TRAIN TO BUSAN is the best zombie movie I've seen in quite a while, and certainly the best use of the running-zombie since that became a thing; the undead race along with jerky movements and sick snapping sounds. Gleefully violent and intense, and yanks on all the right emotional strings. A real zombie-lover's zombie movie. This blind-buy is a definite keeper.

Honestly, I went into this with very low expectations as I'm rarely a fan of current day zombie films, but this was an absolute blast. Beautifully shot, fast paced, gory and at times frantic as hell. Highly recommended! Gorgeous steelbook as well.

An incredible move with outrageous special effects, sort of like World War Z Without the star power. Good storyline, decent character build up, and absolutely Amazing stuntwork. The only drawback was the lack of an English dub track, it's hard to follow all the action and read the subtitles at the same time.

Sick of zombie movies? So am I...Crummy zombie movies anyway. However, if you get on board the TRAIN TO BUSAN you are in for the ride of your life. This is a top notch "mash-up" combination of the horror genre with the action / thriller genre. As always, Well-Go studio puts out a terrific blu-ray presentation to boot. Check it out.
