Overall this game is pretty meh. Coming from the same studio that made Bayonetta I expected more. Sure it feels like a 80s cartoon most of the time.. But it also feels really generic and quickly put together most of the time as well.

This is a great beat em up style game with beautiful cel shaded graphics! Which give it a nice 80s style cartoon look! Classic retro fun!!!

Pretty good game. Gave me a bit of nostalgia while playing. Brought me back to the 80's when I started watching The Transformers.

There were no reviews available before this item arrived in the mail. Unfortunately when the reviews came out they did not justify a full price purchase for this item.

If you are a fan of transformers this is a good game. It would be even better with multi player content but as a single player game its nice.

Must play for the Transformers G1 fan. Art style right from the cartoon. Wished there had been a sequel.

It's not the best game, but this is the closes to the original cartoon series not the Bayformers.

I enjoyed the retro feel of this game; it was like a playable version of the '80s cartoon I loved growing up. Even the voice actors are the same (except for Starscream). Still, there were a few issues. First, the game gets quite repetitive and secondly, I would have liked a better playable character selection. I'm glad I didn't pay full price for this game.

A must for the G1 Transformers fan. Love the 80s cartoon art style. Nostalgia mixed with a good action game.

The core gameplay is there, the great 90's cartoon feel as well. But the main issue is the gameplay never truly evolves from the first level on. Can't recommend due to that.

The combat is fun, and the retro look of the old cartoons was cool but overall the game was quite repetitive, the backgrounds were over used too much and it lacked depth or a good story. It was also too short. Its a good effort with polished controls and solid gameplay like Platinum Games other titles, but like those titles thats all it has.

Anyone of the true Transformers era will find it hard not to love this game. Voice acting is on point despite some of the original actors sadly passing away, and the visuals are so spot on to the cartoon that you can't help but feel that you are a part of it. Gameplay is very simple yet enjoyable and definitely has replayability despite the relatively short campaign. I loved it.

The game's visuals may as well be taken from the 80's animated movie. Any older fan is going to love the look of the game, the original voice actors reprising their roles, and may even enjoy all the new backstory being added from the comic book line. When it comes to the gameplay, it's got a lot to offer, but not quite up to standard Platinum Games standards. The people who developed this game also developed Bayonetta 1 and 2 as well as Wonderful 101, and it shows. Between temporarily slowing down time on a perfectly timed dodge to combo finishers, this is certainly a Platinum game through-and-through. Each map also allows for a variety of collectibles to be discovered, with the little tiny fire guys being incredibly annoying. There are plenty of treasures to discover as well, used for upgrading weaponry and unlocking combat status modifiers. However, these are just tools to make the game seem more complex than it really is. Choose an Autobot whose combat style matches your preferences and go fight Decepticons. It's not Platinum's best action game, but it's probably one of the best Transformers games we'll be getting for years to come.
