The Trezor - Model T - Advanced Crypto Hardware Wallet is a very handy device that allows you to store your crypto assets offline. This is a far more secure way to store your coins as opposed to leaving them in an online exchange like Coinbase where someone could potentially steal your coins by simply gaining access to your online account. I really like the design of the device. It is small and ergonomic and comes with a nice little magnetic dock that can be placed anywhere. The touchscreen is responsive but a little small which can sometimes make inputting my pin a little difficult but it isn’t too much of a problem. Setting up the Trezor – Model T was pretty easy and straightforward. The small (and very limited) instruction packet that came with the Model T suggests you first go online to the Trezor website to download the Trezor Suite software to assist with setting up the device. I decided to install the desktop app for Windows but there are other options including iOS and Android as well as a web app. It is nice to have these multiple options which can all be used to access your wallet(s) once setup. After installing the Windows desktop app, I was instructed to plug-in the device. There is a small piece of holographic tape covering the USB-C port on the device itself for security purposes. This needs to be removed to access the port but removing the tape was not very easy and left some residue on the device itself. Once connected to my PC using the included USB-C to USB-A cable, the Trezor Suite software immediately recognized the device and guided me through the rest of the setup process. One of the most important steps in the setup process is setting up the backup for the device. The device generates a series of 12 words which is referred to as your “recovery seed”. It is an ordered list of English words that contains all of the information that is necessary to recover your wallet if your device is lost, stolen, or no longer operating. Included in the package are two separate cards with spaces for your 12 words to make it easier to store. It is highly recommended that you not keep digital copies of your recovery seed because it is less secure and anyone who steals your recovery seed could then access your coins using a different device or wallet. After writing down and confirming your recovery seed, you then select a pin for the device itself and then you can choose which coins you want to appear in the Trezor Suite software. Even though the Trezor is advertised as having support for over 7000+ digital assets, only a select few of the main coins are natively available at this step. After selecting the coins you want to have listed in your wallet, the next step is to actually create your wallet. There are two options: standard or hidden. A hidden wallet is a wallet that is protected by a custom passphrase for additional security. Once the wallet is setup, clicking on “Receive” or the “Accounts” tab at the top takes you to a screen that lists the coins previously selected during setup. One of the interesting things I noticed here was the fact that the coins cannot be rearranged, even after transferring digital assets to the wallet which I found strange but it isn’t that big of a deal. One other thing to note that I found pretty cool is the ability to purchase assets right from within the Trezor Suite. All you have to do is select the asset you wish to purchase, indicate the dollar amount or number of coins you wish to purchase, and then a list of available transactions from different vendors pops up with the exact details on the potential purchase so you can compare and select the best offer. This is very handy since you can purchase assets and have them sent directly to your device for safekeeping. Overall, I am very impressed with the Trezor - Model T - Advanced Crypto Hardware Wallet and I highly recommend it!

Cryptocurrency hardware wallets are a great way to keep your assets safe by keeping your private key segregated from the internet. The Trezor Model T serves one purpose and that's to give you a dedicated interface to approve and sign transactions for a variety of cryptocurrencies. The biggest thing to look for in a hardware wallet is security, sense that's the main objective in using one of these wallets. And here Trezor does a great job. Right off the bat the packaging is designed in a way to give you some assurance no one has tampered with the device by including a security seal over the usb port in the box. Next the entire code base of the device is open source meaning security bugs are quickly identified and corrected. Lastly the set up process itself is designed to help you verify your device is legit with the accompanying PC software. Using the device is pretty easy. You connect it to your computer (no Bluetooth for mobile), enter a pin on the Model T that you will use for all cryptos and then go through the normal process to create wallets with recovery phrases. The recovery phrase generation is another unique security feature of trezor. You can use a normal 12 word phrase or you can use a shamir recov3ry which creates several groups of phrases that require you to have 2 of 3 of the phrases to recover. This let's you store pieces of the phrases in multiple places for even more real world security. The Trezor software is my biggest complaint here. While it does support a lot of the big cryptos, the overall feature set is much less than it's competition. Mainly, L2 chains aren't supported at all. Luckily the Trezor works with metamask, so you have all the features of metamask while still keeping your keys offline. Using the device to approve and sign is much better than other devices too. The interface is fairly straightforward and the touchscreen on the device is easy to read and easy to interact with. Overall it's a great device and one I will use to keep my assets safe.

I have recently acquired this amazing and advanced Crypto hardware wallet made by Trezor. I chose to go with Model T and would like to share my experience with those who are considering picking up a real hardware wallet to manage your Crypto. I was very pleased to learn that security on this Trezor is super top-notch which means if your computer or any device is ever hacked this Crypto Wallet will make sure your funds don't get stolen. It is very important to make sure you set it up correctly. I must state that first and foremost make sure that you're buying your Trezor from the official site like BestBuy or the maker of the device. I would not recommend you getting your Trezor from some random websites or even sites like Amazon or Ebay because there have been cases where hackers will purchase a device like this, temper and then resell it on third-party websites so make sure to purchase all of your Hardware wallets from their official sites like BestBuy just in case. The Trezor itself comes wrapped in a plastic film and most importantly make sure that the hologram seal is securely attached. You should also find a cable in the box to connect your wallet to a computer and there should also be a few recovery cards in there which let you write down your recovery phrase. Let's talk about the software suit that you will need to download to get your Trezor set up. I found the suite to be very intuitive and comprehensive however it is still easy to use. After you've downloaded treasure suite you can now start setting up our wallet. First you will need to remove the hologram seal on your Trezor and plug it into your computer. You will be prompted to confirm that your hologram was intact and untampered with when you first opened the box. You will have to update it to the latest version as well. You will also be prompted to recover a wallet or you can create a new wallet by tapping on its touch screen. The process of setting up a new wallet is very comprehensive and it will take you step by step to set up your new wallet, create a phrase that you will only know which you will write down and hopefully store it in a secure place in your home. I was amazed how well this Model T handled everything from the creation of the wallet to securing your funds. This is truly a secure and safe way to manage your crypto currency and I highly recommended it to my friends who also needed a solution like Trezor. It is affordable and definitely will bring you peace of mind down the road.

As someone with moderate experience with the crypto world, I really like what this wallet offers. You get a fairly simple solution to possible market/exchange vulnerabilities, another layer of security, and the peace of mind that comes along with those things. Further, it all comes in a nice little piece of hardware that was clearly designed for both security and convenience. I assume if you are looking at this wallet, you know the “whys” for cold storage, so I won’t get into those things, but rather just talk a little about this device and what it brings to the table. It comes with the wallet itself, a USB-C (to A) cable, a little magnetic dock, 2 recovery seed cards, 3 stickers, and a start-up guide. More or less everything you need to get up and running. I like the dock, as I think it can be useful for storing the wallet (in or out of people’s eyes), as well as the cable as it is a fairly nice length. I would have preferred a C to C cable, but it makes sense why they took this route. The wallet is fairly “small,” but I think a good size for what it is. It has a nice design, black, simple, clean. The LCD screen, while also small, is color, clear, and easy to both read and use. Definitely an improvement over wallets without a display. As for build, it is well-built, solid, and “feels good in the hand.” Time will tell, I have to imagine it will hold up over time. All in all, I like the hardware. Set-up was a simple process for me. Zero issues. Well, mostly. While I love that they took the extra step to clearly show the device was factory fresh, the security sticker they placed over the USB port didn’t really cleanly come off. Took a little iso to get it clean. Again, a minor inconvenience, but the extra show of security was a nice touch. Beyond that though, the actual setup was simple, and I think will be for most. More or less follow some step-by-step instructions and keep going. Once up and running, I think the software is clear, concise, and intuitive. I think most will have no issue, no matter their level of experience. As for security, I think Trezor has done a fantastic job here. Between firmware, updates, open source, pins, backups, recovery phrases, TOR options, privacy, and how everything is implemented, you can be confident that you are covered. Which, really, is what you are looking for when looking for something like this. That said, I think my only concerns with this wallet are the possible limitations for very experienced users who may be looking for a “one stop” solution for all of their crypto assets. While the wallet itself supports quite a nice range of networks and coins, the software suite does not. Third party support is there, so it can be done, and you are mostly covered, but it is more to do. Just keep that in mind when looking into your network and token needs. That ALSO said, I do think many people will be more than fine with their use case, but just something to note. In the end, I do really like this wallet and I think it will serve just about anyone very well. It offers top-of-the-line security, reliability, convenience, and ease of use, all in a nicely designed piece of hardware. As always, check your use case, but for what you are getting, I think the value is there.

So maybe you’ve been trading crypto on Robinhood and now you’re thinking about taking some of the coins offline, maybe you’ve always done it offline, or maybe you’ve used software on your computer until now. I’m going to try to focus towards the first as that has been my main interaction with how I have done crypto in the past. I think the first-place people get into crypto now adays is platforms like Robinhood, Coinbase, or FTX. The last example being why you may be interested in having your own safe, as if you don’t have the codes in your possession, what happens if the company you trust isn’t trustworthy. The next step is to take security into your own hands, this also means taking tax accountability into your own hands. It’s a little bit like cash with cold storage like this, the hardware device and software counterpart required zero personal information so just as in cash tips to waiters you’re responsible for any gains buying or selling; granted, to turn crypto into usable cash you may need to go through a platform that requires that information so maybe it’s not an issue, but if you are purchasing goods or paying people in crypto directly you’ll need to keep track of that for the tax man. For me, my hardware wallet is for the coins I want to keep for a long time so this really isn’t a problem. Now onto the next item, Robinhood doesn’t charge gas (exchange) fees to buy and sell, this is different once you want to store things on your own wallet, in order to say send yourself crypto from an online wallet, you’ll need to pay fees, they can be quite large considering, closer to 10% compared to transferring money between banks instantly that is usually less than 2%. But closer to Gold, when you buy gold you don’t get as much as it’s ‘worth’ because of fees and all that, so if your trying to day trade crypto a hardware wallet isn’t good, but if you’re trying to store it for a long while a hardware wallet can be the most secure way to do it as once it’s unplugged from your computer, no one can get to it. With all that, If you are looking for a hardware wallet to store your coins offline that offers an easy to use desktop app as well as a web app that is easily usable on any device (it looks great on a Fold 5), this is a great choice for a hardware wallet. First out of the box you need to remove the silver tape, if it is damaged or removed, take it back, as this could be a security issue. Depending on where you are with crypto; buying a wallet like this is trusting the contractor to build your safe, unless you have the skills to build it yourself, you have to trust someone, and the tape is similar to the door code and if you see the contractor putting their own code in (damaged tape) you may have a security issue (them coming back later to alleviate you of your items that you have stored in the safe). After that just follow the instruction to set the wallet up, It was extremely simple to set up and did a good job explaining what was needed even for someone with very little experience with hardware or software crypto wallets. The wallet itself doesn’t have a battery, so it only works while plugged in, as this is meant to be cold storage, this makes a lot of sense to me as batteries can go bad and cold storage is meant to last awhile. The app itself allows you to send, receive, buy, sell, or trade crypto. Make sure you choose what coins are in your wallet before you receive anything to the wallet. If you’re into meme coins like SHIB it is supported but not directly. You can receive it and send it (and any eth-20 based coin) however, it won’t show up on the home page and get counted into your total on the wallet. I would love to see better support for SHIB in the future. The device itself is light, I feel like the material could be a little stronger/sturdier but it gets the job done. The touch screen has the advantage that the numbers change so you wont get wear spots on the code if you use it quite a bit. Now one worry might be that if this busts your out the money. That is where the seed comes in, you can recover your seed from any other wallet as long as you select the correct way to derive from the seed file. The Model T uses a 12 word seed file which isn’t as secure but with the passphase added on (your own phrase) it is plenty secure, just don’t loose the seed or the passphrase. Overall, this I really like having a separate hardware device to store the coins I want to keep long term and it is a secure user friendly device to do it with.

The Trazor Model T advanced crypto hardware wallet is a fantastic device, and if you have a lot of cryptocurrency, this is a very affordable way to take steps to protect your crypto. The package comes with a USB a to USB c cable, the wallet itself, some stickers, and two recovery seed cards. I recommend keeping the recovery seed cards at a completely different location than where you keep your crypto wallet. Perhaps with a best friend, parent, or adult child. What I love most about this wallet is that you can also back it up, which gives you even more protection of your assets. If you do back it up, again, just like above, store the backup somewhere other than where you are storing the hardware wallet. Anyway, set up is easy, and taking your cryptocurrency out of online marketplaces helps ensure that hackers, especially remote ones, cannot access your funds. As with all hardware wallets, at least at the time of this writing, keep in mind that fire and water can easily ruin your hardware wallet, which is why it is so important to have a backup. I recommend storing this inside of a Ziploc bag inside of a firebox in your house, at a bare minimum.

I don't have a huge stake in crypto or anything. Very casual observer and even more casual dabbler over here. I tested out another hardware wallet and it was alright but the tiny nature of the device and limited controls made navigation and overall usage a bit of a pain. This one solves those problems pretty well. Setup was fairly straight forward. You download the software for your computer and peal off the hologram seal covering the USB port. I still have to take goo-gone or something to the leftover sticker since it's made to not come off. Loading up the software with the wallet plugged in gave you some pretty straight forward setup instructions to follow. By the end of the 10ish minute process, I had a new, offline wallet ready to accept coins. The software is pretty well designed and easy to navigate. You do pretty much everything you want to do from inside the software. Initiate a transfer or setting up to receive is all started in the software and then you verify and confirm everything on the device. The largish screen makes it fairly easy to navigate and see. It's about the size of an Apple Watch face so even typing your pin code on the onscreen keypad (where the numbers are randomly placed every time) is pretty easy. I ran into no problems working any of the casual things I wanted to test out. When I was done, I found it pretty handy that this wallet came with a nice magnetic back and a plate with adhesive on it so you can stick and store it any place you'd like. A reminder, I'm casual into crypto. This thing is probably just going to store a little bit and only be broken out occasionally for transfers. I'm happy with the ability to store it away on the magnet and with how easy the software was to use. No complaints but I can't speak for more advanced or regular usage or anything. For my needs, it works well.

Pros: - Can setup passphrase and PIN security to create a triple-factor-like security setup. This requires someone to know the password, phone verification code and PIN to be able to access the wallet. Because this is done on the Trezor connected to the computer this also bypasses key-loggers. - Trezor Suite is compatible with Chrome on Mac/Linux/PC. - Can be used as a password manager and factor in two-factor authentication (2FA) and multi-factor authentication. - Device wipes itself after many unsuccessful password attempts. - Cold storage is extremely safe since it’s offline which protects against most common cyberthreats (minus phishing). Cons: - Screen is pretty small to be used for input (I have medium-sized fingers). - Included connection cable is very short. - Would be better if they included something to protect and store the Trezor versus just the magnet mount. - Coin support could be better. Maybe this will improve over time with software updates/upgrades. Other thoughts: The unique recovery seed is a cool but frightening feature - if you’re responsible and follow the instructions carefully, you’ll be fine (this also includes storing it safely) but the pure number of people that can’t remember device passcodes and lock themselves out is concerning with features like this.

So what can I say, it’s a hardware wallet. There isn’t a whole lot to the device that you wouldn’t know if you’re looking at one of these because if you’re looking at it, you know that you want to keep your crypto safe. I like the tamperproof sticker on the device itself that let you know that it is brand new, unaltered and completely secure. That is a huge must with one of these devices. And I like probably most of you use another online retailer to make a lot of my everyday purchases for smaller items and even bigger items. However, I knew that I wanted to get this device from Best Buy because I knew that it would be 100% real, original, unopened, untampered with, and I would have no issues whatsoever. I am extremely happy that I did. And the reason for that is due to some horror stories that I read online of people buying devices from other marketplaces that ended up with the crypto stolen. you will not have that experience here and not with this device as long as that tamperproof stickers in place Sending crypto to the device was super easy, and I had no issues whatsoever getting it set up. It was so easy that even my year-old sons, my significant other, heck, even my parents would be able to send crypto to this hardware wallet. I have been wanting a hardware wallet for a long time, and I just never pulled the trigger due to kind of fear of losing all my crypto, and I can say that with the ease of use of this device, I had no fear whatsoever. And I’m extremely happy that I’ve got it, with the fall of larger, crypto markets, or crypto exchanges or online crypto platforms, such as FTX in recent years, it is becoming increasingly apparent that you cannot trust anyone else with your crypto you have to have it yourself. Just look no further than what happened with the FTX and it will solidify that in your mind just like it did for me. I have no issues with the device. I have no complaints. I absolutely love it.

I’ve been using on-line crypto exchanges for a few years now and practicing “diamond hands” for a while since the crash of major crypto currencies in the last couple of years. With so much monetary and regulatory uncertainty and so many cyber security breaches, it is wise to invest in a hardware wallet to store your crypto assets off-line. This is my second hardware crypto wallet and it is a step-up from the smaller one that only has tiny little physical buttons. So the color LCD touch screen is a very nice upgrade and is a feature beginners and advanced users alike will appreciate. The setup is well documented but make sure you don’t skip any steps and remember your PIN and the 12 or 24 word passphrase. There are additional on-line videos you can watch to learn how to take advantage of all features. This physical wallet can be used to store other private security keys and certificates for multi-factor authentication, not just crypto currencies. The Trezor suite software worked well for me on Windows, Android and via Chrome and Firefox Web browsers. It also integrates with other more advanced 3rd party wallets such as Exodus that support more coins and more networks. I also like that you can purchase and exchange tokens and assets directly through the Trezor wallet app so you don’t have to sign-up with an on-line exchange like Coinbase. If you don’t mind the higher cost, I would recommend this Trezor Model T Advanced Crypto Wallet over the competition. Pick one up when it’s on-sale and you won’t regret it.

    Great Crypto Wallet

The Trezor Model T is a great little crypto wallet with a ton of security features. First, as soon as you take it out of the package you can see they take security seriously, as the device has a foil sticker over the usb port to know that it has not been tampered with. when you peel the sticker off, it does leave behind a lot of foil and residue, so be prepared with some goo gone if that bothers you. Other items included in the box are a usb cable, a couple of cards to write down your security keys, a magnetic mount to stick the wallet just about anywhere, and a few stickers. Set up is not very difficult and the app pretty much walks you through every step. First of all, you download the pc app and then plug in your Trezor. Then you go through the process of writing down your security keys (and be sure to store them in a safe place) and adding different coins and accounts to your wallet. During the setup process, you can add a pin to your wallet, using the touchscreen directly on the wallet. Now, while I still prefer this method over other wallets clunky physical buttons, the screen is still just a bit too small for my slightly larger than average fingers. Combine that with the fact that the numbers are rearranged (for security purposes) every time you turn the wallet on, and it can be somewhat easy to enter the wrong pin. So just be extra careful when entering your pin on the touch screen. As another added layer of security, you can choose to have "hidden" wallets, which basically adds one more passphrase (to the 12 existing ones) that is stored in the app, and not on the hardware wallet. It's just one more layer of security if your wallet ever falls in to the wrong hands. Overall, I love the security features that the Model T includes. I feel really secure using this wallet to manage my crypto. I wish the touch screen were maybe slightly larger, but it's still a step up from other tiny-screened hardware wallets. I would highly recommend.

If you want a physical wallet, this is the way to go. If you're thinking about what's the difference between this and having another non-physical service, the primary thing is it's physically with you and can't/is difficult to get hacked. There are still fees for transactions, but very minimal. The ease of wallet setup is so easy that someone not tech savvy at all can set it up. The Trezor Suite tells you your exact options such as making or restoring a backup to start off. After you create backup and PIN, you choose which coins to activate to complete setup, then you're well on your way. You can then send crypto, add your wallet to metamask, and a plethora of other things. The interaction with the wallet and Trezor Suite software is seamless, which is good because it's necessary. The ergonomics of the product are nice, it's a simple but quality build, just be sure not to lose it. Overall, a great device if you want a physical crypto wallet to deal with your crypto. For the price and reliability of the product, I say it's well worth your purchase.
