Customers recognize the Mini 8GB* Media Player as a budget-friendly alternative to the iPod, with a good amount of storage and internet access capabilities. They appreciate its music player and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as its compact size. However, they criticize its short battery life, slow performance, and lack of durability.

I am satisfied completely with this item because it is perfect to listen to music, watch video and I can check email or browse the web. It is really the 4.3 touch-screen Trio tablet with WIFI. moreover, you can take a picture or video by using the build-in rear facing camera. Every body can buy it and will be satisfied with the said item.

We purchased this for my son, as he is not yet ready for a smart phone but we found Kindles to be far too restrictive. It is a more-or-less stock Android device that runs quite well, plays his music and games without any issues, and is easily configurable (with 3rd party software) for parental controls. Quite nice for the price. The only major drawback is the battery life which is less than stellar - but considering the price, it was expected.

I went shopping for an mp3 player for my daughter, and discovered this has the ability to play music through Pandora, download it, bluetooth, and it does everything my smart phone does without a phone plan. My daughter uses it to text me for free on our at home Wi-Fi while I'm at work. Device is a little slow, but has great memory storage, and cost the same as an iPod shuffle, but does way more. She loves it and I'm happy to because of the Parental Controls I can put on it.

I am not much for new gadgets, get confused easily on how to get from this to that. I like simplicity. wanted an mp3 player but this one came with all sorts of extras. easy to operate, for me that is important. the sound on the mp3 player could be louder. I like loud music and was spoiled with my old mp3 player. otherwise a very good buy and I am very happy with it!

Very easy to use if you have an android smart phone, very similar. Easy to pair to Bluetooth. Speaker could be louder, but I use it with my Altec Lansing speaker, and it works fine. A good purchase if you want a music player and don't want to run down the battery on your phone.

Great iPod alternative

I really didn't want to shell out all the money for an iPod, but needed something that could serve up music all day and the occasional movie. This ended up being a great alternative. The SD support makes up for the lack of internal storage and the access to all the apps in the Google Play store really makes it a useful device far beyond most of the inexpensive media players you'll find out there. I read some negative reviews regarding the battery life before purchasing, but I decided to take a chance and haven't had any issues with the battery at all. I listen to music for 6-8 hours per day at work and only need to charge this every few days.

It is a good item, but it sometimes seems a little slow, almost freezes up. Otherwise, it is a good MP3 player/mini tablet. It does a lot of things that I really wanted an MP3 player for. It really is worth the money spent on it.

Better than I had expected. I bought it so that I would have a bluetooth MP3 player. And it is excellent for that, PLUS a very decent Android tablet to boot. Plays games, camera (with Flash!). The only issue is that it is the version of android that has issues managing files on the SD card. Bummer. But the files can also be managed thru a standard USB cable and computer. All in all, neat little package!

I bought this as an MP3 player. It was on sale so to me it was a deal. I charged it and the first time I used it it only lasted 3 hours. I had forgotten to turn off the wifi and all the other battery sucking apps. After that I can go several days on one charge. I listen about 4-5 hours a day. Then the benefit was on vacation I can use it to go online and check email and facebook all without carrying a larger device. Except for charging it this Trio goes everywhere with me.

I bought this as a first tablet for a kid to test the waters. It's not very fast and the battery drains quickly but it is usable for watching movies, playing music, etc.

I bought just as a device to listen to music at workplace, it holds a lot of songs, and you can add memory cards, easy access to internet, very light weight, easy to use, free books...the only not so good is the sound is sooo low but It works well for me that I need headphones for workplace... I got it for around 48 usd with a coupon and I am very satisfied, it is the only MP3 player with all the functions of a cell phone.

Has a lot of nice features, have to be careful unit flexes and screen will crack. Buy extra warranty, as mine cracked within first month. No assessories (tempered glass protector, electrical adapter, case, etc.) For the price its not bad, better if you can get it on sale. It's about the same size as the Samsung Galaxy S4 so there assessories might be used. Will check it out. Would not recommend it for young children.

This little media player is perfect anywhere, especially if you are always on the go. Even though it does say 8GB storage, don't let that scare you off because it is capable of expanding storage with a micro SD card.Does require external speaker if you would like to listen to it very loud without earphones. The volume does not go up very loud without earphones.

I purchased this MP3 player to carry to the gym with me while I workout but got very disappointed with it. battery dies fast, want download some items in the play store, very, very slow I transferred some music from my 32gb sd card to the 8gb micro sd card and it will not play but a few songs if you don't know how to insert the micro sd card you will think it will not mount you have to slide the metal cover then insert the card and then close the metal cover had carried it back several times finally gave up so I feel that I am stuck with this device will make sure next time before buying another MP3 player
