This is the second one I have had. I have mixed feelings about this product. Had a couple of issues along the way, but thankfully I purchased the ext warranty that BB offers and traded it in. Lasted almost a year without major issues until the last month or two. Got it primarily for music. I wanted more than just a simple mp3 player, but did not want to dish out the money for anything apple. Pros: Nice size to fit in a pocket. If you know Android, you can work this thing. Simple. Customizable with icons, background images etc. Will dl e-mail files like documents and view-able with pre-loaded software.. Has alarm. Pretty good battery. Slot for ext memory. Micro SD. Cons: Not sealed at all. The unit got dust in it almost right away. Very annoying since this is a touch screen. Bluetooth is disabled. The headphone jack. Somehow the sound coming from headphones started sounding tinny. Camera is not good quailty at all. I see this model being dced and outdated any time now.

Great for a hacker, not so good for consumers

So I pick this tablet up on a whim for saving battery on my main phone and tablet for light tasks. Returned 1. Both units had non-working speakers. Come to find out from the second unit, this is due to 1 of many software glitches I found. They are numerous in this tablet, but controllable or removable with some hacking skills and extreme patience. The interface is ugly and makes the DPI look even lower than it is(120). So I took the plunge and rooted it and started hacking away at it, not wanting my money wasted and to prove a point. Most these tablets have capable hardware but awful software. First thing I did was install Play Store and Apex launcher-ahhh the interface is no longer making my eyes bleed and I could get down to hacking. Long story short, I was able to make the glitches not bothersome or eliminate them. I hacked to reverse the virtual internal SD(less than 1 GB usable space and where games insist on storing their data(hint, use this area as virtual RAM to soup up the memory)) with an external SD card. For those with speaker trouble, I know this is hackish, but clear dalvik cache, force media audio routing to speaker except with plug-in detection, and force to mono channel upon plug-out detection. Do NOT install Titanium Backup. I heard of audio problems with it, but this is the first I experienced it on my devices. Nowadays, it makes a great portable gaming platform for me. The screen is decent, not great, but looks good with games. Could be better for reading but it is just great for games. The sound quality is very good, even without the DSP I threw in for good measure. The hardware is made pretty well and has stood up to many hours of gaming. All in all, a great result of a hacking project for $50 at retail that can provide countless hours of entertainment when the hacking is finally over. But non tech-savvy consumers, stay far far away. I am experienced at hacking Androids and this one was a huge project for me to make into something good. But in the end, it was well worth it. A tablet I only paid $40 for on sale and can show off my games side by side with my friends' ipads who blush when they hear how much this tablet costs(with impressive CPU/GPU performance for the price). I would recommend it for a hacking project, but not for out of box use. Hence, the 1 star rating on ease of use.

For such a small devise it is really loaded. Easy to navigate. Bought is thinking is was just an MP3 player but it's actually a mini tablet. What makes it even better,,,I got a great deal on it...less than half price on a 3-day sale. It's worth every penny of the full price.

This mini tablet works well as an android tablet. Most functionality is present and the item is priced extremely well. It is plagued with a few issues as follows 1) Battery Life - You can get a good 4-5 hours out of the tablet before you have to plug it in. Having a charger handy for either car or wall should help. 2) Screen sensitivity - this isn't an android phone. The tablet has some lag upon touching the screen. Practice until you find how the screen works for you 3) Speaker - it sounds almost as if it's non-existent. The speaker volume is so low that it begs you to plug in a headset or a speaker system into the tablet. 4) No google play store - If this is an android tablet, then it should have the google play store. The amazon app store is not a great substitute. Short of rooting and side-loading the play store apk, you are required to make an amazon account. 5) The camera is horrendous 6) Sound quality is fine for mp3s/aac.... not great, but good for casual listening. The positives include the fact that it is android and customizable. Still, for the money, you can't beat this tablet as a music player. It plays many file formats and is versatile. Expandable memory makes the shortcoming of the 4GB built in storage more palatable. Stick a 32GB microSD card in and enjoy. I still recommend it with a few caveats. 1) headphones / speaker system for listening 2) keep this thing plugged in or a charger handy.

I wanted to replace a worn out mp3 player, and found this mini-tablet billed as one...and it really has a good sound quality on earphones, not so much on built in speaker. Very easy to navigate to play music, and allows for sorting by artist, by category, or by title. This particular player resets to January, 1979 everytime it is powered off, not so hot, but I can deal with that. What I do not like is that while it is Android, it is not compatible with Google Play store for their apps. Some apps I like are just not available in the App stores they promote. I've kept it simply because I really the functionality of the mp3 player.

I was a little hesitant to buy this buy after my daughter broke her ipod i was not about to buy her another one till she knows ho to be responsible so i bought this. Although a little bulky I was surprised just how good this product works. The battery life is not that long but i love just how easy it is to import music and i love the external sd card option.

I would only recomend this to some one who realy doesnt mind a cheap plastic feel and a realy slow processor or a fuzzy screen that easily gets dust and stuff in the air inside the screen and in between everything. So go at it. Folks!

Recently bought to take on an 7 day cruise since I didn't want to take my cell on the trip and wanted to only check emails when wifi was available at the ports. It helped pass the time when the weather wasn't the greatest and we stayed in the room. Does a pretty good job with games and most android apps. Sound was pretty good. Played Netflix well. Plays music well through external speaker. The battery life is pretty good for price point. All book reading programs I tried worked. At some points, it didn't charge fully so had to charge twice sometimes. The time reset was annoying. During the time we didn't have wifi and I turned it off, it went back to 1/1/1970 no matter what I tried so can't trust for time at all.

I was satisfied with the product overall. Would have liked more memory, but it is expanable. I like the fact I can check things on the browser without using my desktop PC. The sound quality is better than expected. I wasn't pleased with some of the preloaded apps, but the ease of use and access because of the size made up for some of the things I didn't like. Overall I thought it was well worth the money, and have enjoyed using it.

Small and easy to use. My son like watching videos on it. Love all the apps you can download. Sound could be louder but not bad if you are using head phones. Cameras not really the greatest but I didn't get it for that reason anyways.

I purchased this item for myself, wanting a product that gives me more options than my current mp3 player. I have been completely satisfied with this product and it was very affordable. My only complaint would be that I have not been able to find a case for it because of it's small, compact size. On a side note: My son ended up getting one because I was so happy with mine. In 2 days, I made 3 trips exchanging his Trio. The first one had a display issue and the 2nd one had problems with the touch screen. I felt really lucky to have had no issues with mine and I'm happy to report that his 3rd attempt at getting one that works was successful and he is very happy with his also!

I like the fact that it is more of a mini tablet, but cheaper than a full size tablet. May not have much for memory, but that's okay since I'm just using it to play music. Its better than having music CDs that can get scratched.

It's easy to download music and has good sound & a good picture. Camera works fine. No problem connecting to WIFI. However, my device will not power on unless plugged in with a USB. Shows the battery at 100% but won't power on unless plugged in. The screen scratches very easily. Don't like the fact that the music for the MP3 does not play continuously. Once you shut off it starts all over from the 1st song. Also, you actually have to turn on the USB from the menu on the device. If you don't you won't see any of your files. I guess for the price it's ok but I'm sending mine back to the manufacturer for a replacement.

I now have every size tablet they make with this one in my stable. I must be nuts for collecting so many. This is by far the smallest. I use it as a backup for working at breakfast, in case any other of my tablets might run out of juice. But as a big guy with stubs for fingers, I must use a stylus to operate it. Works great though. Lots of apps available, but I use it for email usually. A fun little tablet, at a very reasonable price.

Got this for my child due to the price so much slower than a iPod I did let him play on but less expensive if it ends up broke. Takes awhile for games to download and the battery life's not the best. Perfect for a kids first tablet. He likes that it's his. Camera is ok , not the greatest. Recommend an SD card or you can't download many games or take many pictures. Would say I've not seen battery last more than two hours , for the price you can't really complain! It serves it's purpose for sure!
