I believe the description that it weighs 40 pounds. There is a coating over the end pieces that i thought would protect my floors, but it isn't rubber- more of a hard plastic that can still scratch wood flooring if you aren't careful.

I really like the grip of the bar. Weight seems a little lighter than it's rating in comparison to my other 55 lb cast iron dumbbells but I haven't placed on the scale to confirm. Also, has a fairly loud rubber smell but has subsided some over time. Purchased at a great price so all in all very satisfied.

Exactly what it is. Great dumbbell. Very durable, grip isn’t sharp and doesn’t hurt like other cheap ones.

These are well built, don't stink as much as some other brands I've bought. I also have a pair of 50lb from Tru Grit. Only complaint on this 70lb pair is they both weigh ~68lbs. My previously mentioned set of 50's both weigh 50. At least one of the 70lb wasn't 68 and the other 72, but still slightly disappointing. I have weighted them several times with the same result, doesn't seem to be a fluke.

Great product again Tru Grit. What I like about the Elite dumbell is no rubber smell and very clean finish. I am highly impressed with this company. Keep it going.

Purchased two 85 lbs dumbbells. One came in at 85.4lbs and the other came in at 82lbs! 3 pounds under weight is just terrible quality control. Other than that, the quality is as good as what you’ll find at any commercial gym. Used it only for about a week now but getting dropped on concrete/rubber mats with no issues so far.

I was ecstatic to find dumbbells on best buy especially during the beginning of the pandemic when you couldn’t find any anywhere. The disappointment came when I received my dumbbells! They arrived with no box and damaged. The thermal plastic had chunks of it cut off.

BUYER BEWARE!!! I ordered four dumbbells total. Two 25lbs and two 30lbs. I received 3 Tru Grit Branded dumbbells and 1 lower quality mismatched dumbell. The mismatched dumbbells didn’t even come in a Tru Grit branded box like the others. The knurling on the handles was even different. The quality of the Tru Grit branded dumbbells were really good but the whole experience with trying to get a replacement that’s actually what I ordered was very off putting and inconvenient. The whole purpose of me placing an online order for home delivery is the convenience of not have to drive far from my home to go to the store. The entire order is being returned. If you don’t mind if your dumbbells don’t match, go for it. If paying for a set that actually matches matters to you, I would say think twice or try to order the sets if the are in-stock.

just got my weights in and decided to weight them. my 12.5 lb weights ended up weighing 11 lbs.

Inconsistent size. One is the size as advertised and the other is larger in length and width but the same weight. Ordered 2 for a set. Waste of time..
