I bought this 50 pound weight to work out with and so far it’s holding up. The weight is perfect for my build, and seems very sturdy. I can only say that yes, the black rubber housing does seem to release black when wiped down with a wet wipe. I do not know if all brands allow this or if it’s just this brand, but I do not mind it; maybe with more time and use, this stops eventually. Who knows, but I do wipe down my weights occasionally. But despite this, I would still recommend this weight to anyone. Great purchase!!

Great quality dumbbells that we got on clearance for the price of one normal dumbbell. Wife loves them so these are a winner.

This dumbbell is great, is heavy-duty, functional, and with an excellent grip. I prefer these rubber coated over vinyl since it is a lot softer on surfaces. There is enough space to grip and not all uncomfortable. The gripping bar is 5 inches long, and the entire dumbbell length is 12 inches. I like hex shade over plate dumbbells because they don’t roll around on the floor. It does have some smell, which is familiar with this type of rubber, but that goes away within a few days. Overall, I am delighted with the high quality, looks and feels great. I like them so much that I will get more with different lbs to improve my workout routine.

These are perfect and affordable. Needed weights to fit on my bike and the Tru Grit 5 pound ones do perfectly. Love them and excited to use them.

With pandemic and gym closures, was looking for quality dumbbell sets for routine workouts at home and these Dumbbells are excellent and very well made. The heavy duty rubber encased hexagon shaped help prevents from rolling for safety and easy storage. The chrome handle is contoured and textured for a secure comfortable grip and ergonomic fit that reduces hand fatigue. Love the pair of 20lbs(each) for working out arms, chest and various upper/Lower body routines. Planning to get other sizes of 5 and 10pounds to accommodate specific exercises. Why spend too much for branded ones as this one is excellent value for the price it has to offer. Highly recommend.

These dumbbells are an immediate upgrade to any home gym. They feel great in the hands and are sturdy. I didn't have any issues cleaning or storing given that the design makes them easy to stack. These will definitely work for your exercise routine.

These Tru Grit Dumbells make fitness at home easy. With the rubber heads they’re fine to have on the floor in your TV room or office so you can do some work outs at your convenience. I personally use them while watching TV. The grips are excellent and the dumbbells leave no marks on carpet or wood floors. Fitness at home truly has never been easier!

I like these dumbells since they are made of rubber so they use of them is better for my Vinyl flooring vs all metal ones. These have a good grip to them but can become slippery when your hands sweat. They did come with a strong rubber smell but assume that will dissipate over time. As for the accuracy they weighed in at 20.1 and the other 19.9. Pretty close to the listed weight. They are a good option if you can add more sizes as your strength increases. The only Con's are the looser grip when holding them and that they are not part of a larger set so would require more of an investment over time depending on your goals.

The grip is thin and easy to grab. It comes pre-oiled which is nice, and they have great balance.

Great product. The weights are as stated and shake out to be within a few ounces of the listing weight (I bought a few different sizes). Times like these true dumbbells are hard to come by. Fast and free shipping (on weights!!) make them a no brainer.

These dumbbells are great & very easy to use. The rubber coating makes it easy to place down on the floor or furniture without destroying anything or making excessive clanging noises. It also adds an additional buffer against your skin. The grip in between is also long enough where you have optimal balance while working out. My only complaint was that the packaging it came in (a simple cardboard box with no padding, secured by a few strips of scotch tape at the seems) was very shoddy & the 30 lb weight protruded right through the box. It was a good thing I was home when the delivery was being made or else it would have fallen completely through the box if it were dumped on the porch (as these delivery people tend to do). The delivery man just handed it to me, broken cardboard box & all.

I read a lot of reviews before taking the risk and buying this. The big question from the reviews is, does it smell so bad that it is not usable? Here is the answer. The dumbells are well packaged in plastic. Yes they smell a little like new tires at the beginning. But the smell dissipates after a few days. I took the plastic off and they don't smell any more. Yes, obviously if you put your nose on top of it, you can smell the rubber. But it's nothing at all like room filling odor. You cannot smell it at all in the room where the dumbells are sitting. And these are high quality, well made dumbbells. I highly recommend them.

Just received a gift from my wife for the Tru Grit branded dumbbells. I am impressed that Best Buy actually has fitness product and that the product is good! Shipped fast and the transit company did not destroy the box, well done. We will come back for more equipment upgrades.

It's a rubber coated dumbbell. Crazy heavy. I like the contoured grips, and the fact no on in the house can move them. Where ever I put them down, that's where they'll be.

These dumbbells are great! They have great grip and are well made. I did not even realize Best Buy sold weights so this is a good one if you can't find them anywhere else.

These are very well-built and 2.5 lbs after a few reps gets heavy and my shoulders get tired but it feels great and they are a nice asset to my YouTube workouts.

Good value. Gets the job done. No rubber odor. Grip can be a bit rough, but throwing on a pair of gloves works well.
