This second season was good. Compared to the first season it had different actors and a different theme. But, I like colin ferral and vince vaughn. And, them two together is like magic.

One of the best most underrated shows I've seen, was hooked from the first episode of the first season. This show sadly was not continued after the second season but, each season is it's own story so they don't leave you hanging.

The 2nd season takes an episode or 2 to really get interesting but once everything starts going it is hard to break away. This is a great series for a mature audience.

This season is getting some unfair reviews. It is a good season, but it's not nearly as good as the first. What did you expect. The caliber of acting isn't nearly as good as the first. It's still a good show and well worth a watch.

Not sure why some were critical about this series. I really enjoyed it! It's dark and several times I was like "wow, really?!?" on what some of the characters did.

Like I said with season 1 I like the writers of this series. Didn't disapoint, but still like season 1 the best. It was really good though. I would watch it again

For this season there were a lot of negative reviews. However, in my opinion this one is much better than the previous season which was kind of slow and boring.

First of all, I loved the first season of this show. This second one puts on a twist with a different story and different detectives. Is it good? Yes. Is it close to season 1? No, but i would still recommend it.

I thought they would be hard pressed to top season 1 of True Detective, but they DID!!! Vince Vaughn is such an under rated actor, he has some chops!!

I truly thought that this season would not have compared with season 1 and I was so totally wrong....The drama and suspense exceeded season 1.

Huh!? What happened to this show? It's as if they had no idea what was going to happen, but it's still an interesting mess.

Perhaps not quite as excellent as the first season, but it's a very interesting mystery with engaging characters and a very good ending

I watched this week to week on HBO, so when I saw the Bluray on sale for $9.99 I made sure to grab one. I liked season 1 better but I'll definitely be watching season 3 (if they have one).

Season 2 should not even be compared to Season 1, so I won't do that here. I will say Season 2 was better the second time through.

While I had reluctance after reading the reviews, it was a good show. Maybe not as good as season 1, but goof overall.

The first season was great! The second season was pretty good but not nearly as good as the first. If you are a fan of the series then I think you would most likely enjoy the second season.

The first season was definitely a stand out hit, this season less so. The music and writing seemed to miss. The performances by the main cast members was one of the strong points.

I read that this season of True Detective was panned by the critics. I think they were wrong. I really enjoyed each episode.
