A mysterious plot with lots of characters and action coming to a surprising ending

I like the "one season" series. After watching the True Detective initial season, we were looking forward to another doze of Woody and Matthew. But, the new cast, which meshed so well l, and the storyline, were worth the investment.

I actually saw season 2 before season 1 and season 2 was great. The story was a little complicated but overall a great season. But after seeing season 1. I understand why people disliked the season 2 cause season 1 was just phenomenal.

Critics raved about the first season of True Detective and dissed on the second but personally I found the second one more stimulating to follow , the plot and characters more interesting, and not once did the episodes put me to sleep.

Many different angles to the story , very interesting , leaves some to be desired

The Edgy Drama. Has lots of Twist & Turns. Woody Harrison. Is Awesome. Alexandria Danddero Is so Hot Great Suspence. Good Story Line. To bad they Canceled the Show... I would of liked to have Watched a few more seasons.

A great follow up to the amazing first season. As someone who lives in Ventura it was neat to see places on screen I've been around my whole life. Just like the first season it's a great show to get multiple opinions on.

I'm a big fan of this show and really enjoyed season 2 of True Detective.

I absolutely loved the first season! I was among my favorites of all time. So I was super hyped for season 2. Its nowhere near as good but its not horrible. It has some redeeming qualities but basically the whole season comes off a competition of which character has the worst life and its kind of depressing

I would recommend only if you have not seen Season 1. If you saw Season 1, do not watch Season 2. The bar was set so high that you will only be disappointed. The only positive to the seasons being unrelated with new casts means you can watch season 2 first and enjoy it before being amazed with season 1

This True Detective is not as good as the first but is still worth viewing

Not as great as the first season was, but still a good season.

I like this series. It makes you think seriously and want to finish it.
