    True Detective is a gritty, uncompromising dark story from the start. This show gets its claws into you right away and it doesn't let go! I highly recommend this to anybody into Criminal Dramas. Top Notch show

    True Detective Season 2 is not nearly as good as Season 1, but that would be a difficult feat to accomplish regardless of what you're putting out there. Still, it's a gritty crime story with plenty of mystery and drama to make any fan of the first season want to add this to their collection.

    The first season was great, so I was a bit skeptical about how a second season with all new actors would be, however The cast and writers did a good job...I was entertained and pleased with the purchase.

    Investing in these characters was immediate. Nic Pizzolatto is a great writer and pulls us in so quickly. I found myself in tears at the finale and grieving. .... I look forward to his next True Detectives.

    After watching season one, this was kind of a let down. It was still pretty good and enjoy the fact that each season is a different case. The acting seemed kind of forced at times with a weaker cast. Still enjoy watching the case unfold and how everything gets solved.
