They weren't comfortable even with the many variations of ear pieces. Took forever to initially connect and I had multiple issues getting them to connect daily. Sound quality not as good as I thought they should be. Very expensive - I was not impressed. Bought a much cheaper better pair after I returned these with the help of a knowledgeable Best Buy Salesman!

Good but has one major flaw

I've been through two of these so far. The first ones had a blown out right bud or at least I had thought. I'm no audiophile but these sound decently well for what they are, bass is booming but not too over powered like beats headphones. Mids and highs are good although when turned up all the way they just barely begin to get distorted and tinny. They definitely make the sol republic amps air sound like trash but they have one major flaw, and that is that the left earbud is slightly louder than the right earbud. At first I thought i was just imagining it because it was so slight but after listening to them for a few hours it was pretty obvious. Because of this I will most likely be returning them. As far as build quality goes, I saw a lot of reviews saying that they felt cheap, even though they are full plastic, they are light enough to where you could put them in and forget about them, so to me personally i like that. That being said they are full plastic and have that light cheap feeling you get with some lower end products and for $250.00 that is rather unacceptable. The bluetooth pairing process is rather tricky in that if you don't follow the step by step process as it tells you too, your phone won't connect right away, but as far as making me want to give up all together you really have to not want them in the first place. Overall I give them three stars because they do sound really good for what they are but having one earbud louder than the other can get quite annoying. If you're in the market for completely wireless headphones i recommend waiting for apples EarPods because even though not a lot of people generally like apple, they're products generally speaking tend to work out of the box so there's no worry there. And luckily for us android users I believe apple's EarPods will function as normal bluetooth headphones so we can use them to. They will also be a lot cheaper as well (as long as they keep the current list price when they eventually release) That being said if you wanna deal with one earbud being slightly louder than the other (which is honestly totally do-able) then these will be great, but for the money I would wait for apple's. (EarPods was automatically capitalized and that kind of bothers me....)

These are freakin awesome!! Was looking for wireless workout earphones and somehow came cross these, and man they are amazing! Once you get the right tip to fit your ears.. poof! You won't even notice you're wearing them. They are tiny, super comfy and have a decent bass for a pair of wireless earphones this size. The volume might not be really really loud for some of you but believe me its more than enough and the passive noise cancellation helps as well. I never review any products but these made me! Just beautiful!

These are the second brand of truly wireless earbuds which I purchased. The first pair from another brand was awful (see my review of Sol Republic Amps Air). I have to say I am absolutely impressed. The earbuds are extremely comfortable in my ears. I have completely forgot they were in. The passive noise cancellation is fantastic too. Put the TV on super loud and could barely hear it with the earbuds in and could not hear it at all with them playing music. The producer gives a detailed way of putting the earbuds in your ear as to lock them in which makes them almost impossible to knock out. While these do feel cheap because of them being completely plastic on the outside, this is simply a misnomer as I believe it is how the company produced the Skybuds to have almost not weight while wearing them. The sound quality is fantastic. The frequency response is dead on and the bass and treble is perfectly balanced. I agree with the others that these are a little on the quiet side, the company has promised to improve this with future firmware upgrades. I also used these with my Apple TV while watching netflix. There was no lag at all between the speaking movements and the words one could hear, so these are great for watching movies as well as listening to music. I can only believe that these great earbuds could only get better. I could see the skybuds giving apple a run for its money. The only thing that people could see as a negative is the price, but for this quality, it is well worth the premium. I highly recommend these.

These are small enough for my ears and have a snug fit where I don't feel as if I'm going to lose them. I worried about the size since I'm fairly small. 5'3" and 125#. (No big ears) ;) These were easy to bluetooth in to my iphone 7+ for initial setup. (And, I'm NOT tech-savvy). These have a very nice sound and will block out a lot of outside noise on their own even without turning them on. Easy to use. I still haven't found out how to Bluetooth into my TV but I just got them. I'll have to wait and download a video or the manual later. These did take a long time (Almost a whole day) to initially charge up but I haven't had a problem so far. These have a built in microphone in the actual earpiece so you do not have to worry about talking, etc. There is a slight delay when talking on your phone but not enough to keep me from using these. I would recommend that IF you drive, only use one earpiece. I would use the car bluetooth instead, though. (Much safer)

I just purchased a pair of Skybuds and from the moment I put them in my hand I felt like this was going to be special. To start, the packaging is just gorgeous. I love vibrant colors, the fact that you can see the product, and that it feels like a substantial purchase. The set up for Skybuds was extremely easy, all in it took around 45 seconds. The audio quality blew me away. The range is impressive and the bass is solid. I do wish they would be a little louder though. I reached out to someone from their customer experience team and they told me that the app will push new audio updates to the buds and that it's an important part of the product. I've had other truly wireless earbuds like the Bragi Dash and Earin and they both had bad connection breakup issues. Skybuds has none of that. It's a perfect, seamless truly wireless experience that I highly recommend.

I got these when they were on Kickstarter and then went back for another pair. These buds are cool looking, light and comfortable and offer great sound. Despite being earphones they also have a mic that allows for mostly clear conversations unless it's very loud around you. The case is VERY cool- it is nice, easy to carry and recharges them quickly. The storage functionality is very nice as it allows you to store them (so you don't lose them) and they remain charged when you want them. They are very stable. You can do anything with them and they won't budge- conversely, if they get too tight, you can adjust the "snugness" by twisting them a little in the ear so they are not quite as tight to make them more comfortable. The only snags I find are :1) they are SO good at sound isolation that you can't hear a dam thing around you when they are in. They are quieter than my Bose-noise canceling ones, but make you unable to hear when someone comes up to you even if you pause the music (incredible, I know!). 2) sometimes you will lose connectivity- you have to keep the "right" bud on the side where you have your phone (like other things bluetooth) as they drop out a little if not in line-of-sight of the Bluetooth emitter. It's not common, but can happen intermittently. Regardless, sound is great (could be a smudge louder), Bass is quite good (but obviously there are no powered subwoofers in it or it would be huge and without battery), and the look and feel is fantastic!

Probably the best buds, but walking echo(bad)!

The Skybuds are probably not the best wireless buds you have ever seen, but they might be the best you can get. The sound is by far better than other brands and for many people, that’s what they are looking for. I listen to music usually only while exercising. For lower activity exercises like lifting in the gym, they are perfect. However, running and high impact creates a lot of “echo” from the bulk of the ear bud. None of the silicon tips will address this problem and its prevalent while even just walking. I’m going to get some foam tips sold separately and see if that addresses the problem. The smaller sized tips do take away some of that, but reduce sound quality. I also had problems with the connectivity of the Left bud while running, but the update helped the problem just a bit, we’ll see how time impacts the connectivity. Also, they can become quite uncomfortable at first, though the more you wear them, the better your ear adjusts. Overall, I would recommend them if an individual doesn’t really use them for more than working on the computer or working out at the gym. I would not recommend them if you are going use them for running, hiking, biking, eating food where they are an absolute nightmare and unbearable to listen to. I would be very interested to see if Skybuds company has any recommendations for addressing the “running” problem. They get 3 stars only because they have good sound quality above other brands, but the walking echo is horrendous (a common problem in all true wireless)

I needed something that would stay in my ears while working out and appease my audiophile standards. These do the trick! Sound quality is excellent, fit my ears well, and as far as I can tell sweat and spilled water don't effect them.

For the record, I have a ZTE Axon 7, a recent phone that works perfectly well. Now about the Skybuds. I love the sound quality , the look, the feel. There is a big HOWEVER. The hardware "requires" an app on your phone for optimal use. From what I can tell, the app is a little clunky. Everything worked great at first. But when I went out and took them out for a real test drive they would regularly cut out and buffer(?). The app would sometimes find the case and one bud but not the other ; lots of random things. Re-synchronizing them didn't help. Then I uninstalled the app and everything worked fine except the battery life (after leaving them all night in the plugged in case) went from 4 hours to 10 minutes. I later reinstalled the app, and now everything is gravy... Overall good device, poor software support, might need some fine tuning, which I'm okay with but I doubt everyone shares this kind of troubleshooting patience.

I have been waiting for truly wireless headphones for a long long long time. I was pumped to find these! And now I'm so glad to own them! In just a few days its changed (improved!) everything about my routine. I run every morning. I never run with music -- or I never used to run with music -- until I got these things! No wires, nothing to get tangled. I love it. Also easy to turn the sound down if I need to which was a concern for my overly cautious approach to intersections in Boston... Going to be perfect under my winter hat now that its "winter has come" up here.... I am listening through my skybuds right now and feel the freedom of not having to slip my headphone cords under the keyboard to get them out of the way while my hands type this review with jubilant excitement. I feel like an augmented human with these things. Very cool and would much rather have these than a refrigerator on my head -- which is what my beats feel like comparatively... Stereo-less dance parties anyone? I also just got a google Pixel. Combination of voice assist and my Skybuds is going to be incredible.... skybuds, please go talk to google about making me personally a music infused android! We are already halfway there! All that said, there are a few design elements that can be improved. I'd love a longer than 4 hour battery and I've got to take over another pocket to keep the charger handy. Maybe a smaller case (that isnt the charger) I can slip them into when I'm not using them but have them along with me for the ride? Color is great. I went with Nimbus. Something light and neutral. Enjoy them!

    Decent design - ehh audio

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I returned mine for the following reasons: Reasons not necessarily in order of importance; Audio quality is subpar - I have several Bluetooth headphones and they all sound better - and yes I tested with the larger ear sizes as well. Can't use either earbud independently - the right bud must be used and the left is optional There is no noise cancellation for phone calls - I need this on conference calls. Price -$249 competitive value isn't there. (I currently use a jawbone era and jaybirds blue buds. I was hopeful this could replace those 2 items) Doesn't switch from my ipad to iphone to applewatch without manually triggering pairing mode on both the buds and the target device. Only way to determine battery level is via the app - I know the fix is in the works but at this price it should work now. - it reports to the iphone 60% regardless of the actual battery level After several hours they become uncomfortable in my ears. - could use the foam tips as an alternative.

I got my new iPhone 7 and wanted to try out wireless headphones. After doing some research, I came across Skybuds. Overall, the experience has been great. They seamlessly connect with my phone and I love not having wires trip me up anymore when I work out. I have even started wearing them around the house and when doing errands. People can't even tell I have them on! I'd definitely recommend for anyone else who is wishing to get wireless headphones this holiday season.
