So, I bought this bad boy for an entirely different purpose than what it was intended for, and it didn't work. So there.

This chat cable is great and works exactly as it should.

My son has a headset for the XBox360.. they currently do not have the connection available by itself for that one so this was recommended.. it does not fit but fits our friends PS4

Most 2.5 millimeter cables can be found at other online stores for less, but this cable is special. It is a 2.5 to 3.5 mm cable unique for Turtle beach headsets. The box claims to be for the Ps4, which I have, but, I also have an Xbox One and the Xbox One adapter. I really wanted it for the Xbox One, since my 400's came with a cable that had its only volume control and would give me game audio and voice audio fade outs and fade ins. This cable solved the problem and now I can game with amazing audio and speak with great voice quality. My twitch followers said there is a noticeable difference in the voice quality from what I was using before (original PS4 mic). Recently picked up an A40 headset and was shocked when the mic was overblown and turned way up. using this cable helped wonders. No more distortion. No more random mic volume changes. Made me much more comfortable with my headset

I bought this cable to use with my Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter as the included cable connector produced a terrible echo when using my Astro A50 headset. This one plugs directly into the headset and headset adapter and everybody says my voice comes across much clearer and with zero echo. Only thing I do notice however is that the part that plugs into the A50 fits a little snugly and requires you to push a little to ensure its plugged in all the way. Still does not detract from how much better the headset works now.

Kudos to Turtle Beach for offering a way to connect their older headphone sets to newer game consoles! I especially like that they used a 135° angled connector at the controller end! The connector ends are also gold plated. The reason for the 3-star rating is that the wire used in the Turtle Beach cable does not "relax" over time. It retained the coiled shape even after days of trying different things to straighten it. This cable was bought in an attempt to cleanly adapt my pre-2013 Astro A40 headset to my new Xbox One. It did not work. Astro Gaming says my pre-2013 A40 headset will not work with my new Xbox One. Their technical support advised buying a new headset from them. My pre-2013 A40 works find with the Xbox One. It just requires a 2.5 mm (A40 cable) to 3.0 mm (Xbox One controller) adapter cable similar to the one Turtle Beach makes. The Turtle Beach cable connectors fit very well mechanically between my A40 and Xbox One. However, an A40 cable has an inline choke that works to reduce electrical noise. The Turtle Beach cable does not have this feature. Combining the Turtle Beach cable with my pre-2013 A40 headset and my Xbox One made the system too noisy - Xbox Live players complained about the noise. Too bad the Turtle Beach cable didn't work with the A40 and Xbox One. I must continue to use a 90° 3.0 mm adapter, and a short 3.0 mm to 2.5 mm adapter cable, between my A40 cable and my Xbox One controller.

This cable along with the Xbox One chat adapter gave life to my Earforce Tango headset on the Xbox one. By setting the chat to game balance to all chat on the adapter you still hear game audio through the wireless Dolby digital base station and chat comes through the adapter. It works great, the only sad part is that I need a wire now and there is no bluetooth puck for the Xbox One, but at least I can use the headset again.
