You will need to use this adapter for connecting turtle beach headsets to your Xbox 360 if you are using an HDMI connection to your TV. It works well, sets up easy. It is unfortunate you have to buy this if you have an Xbox 360 as you do not need this for the PS3.

This little adapter does exactly what it's supposed to do and allow you to run an HDMI cable for video while sending the audio to a separate device. Price is reasonable considering the alternatives.

Switched my Xbox 360 to my newly renovated man cave to find that my LCD TV only had digital audio out which doesn't support the normal TB headsets. Hooked this up since I'm using HDMI out on the 360 and it works great. Another plus is that once I hooked the sound at back to my TV in the family room it was much louder as the AV out hookup for the turtle beaches draws a lot of power even when not being used so it takes away from the maximum output to the sound bar. Even if I were to switch it back I would still reccomend this so you can have full power to your sound bar!!

Works Great. Was necessary for our setup with the XL1 headphones. Would have been nice if the headphones came with this adapter. If you use HDMI to connect XBox to tv, you either connect headphones to tv's analog audio out (which my tv doesn't have - only digital out) or you need this adapter.

Bought some turtle beach head phones and did not know that I needed an adapter for it to work with the Xbox 360. I tried finding some cheaper aftermarket adapters but only found this so I bought it. It works as it should and as described. Just plug it into the Xbox and plug the head phone receiver into it and done. No other set up.

In the past, I have had to use a standard AV cable in conjunction with my EarForce X12 headset. When I used a HDMI cord instead, the noise from the TV was sometimes a distraction to others doing something in the same room. There are two TVs in what we call the "Family room". One TV is used for my seventh and eighth generation game consoles, the other is for cable use. Both TVs have Blu Ray players hooked up, but since I don't own a PS3, nor are there enough games for me to want a PS3, using an EarForce headset won't work for me there. I already own a Wii as well, and I'm not willing to buy any more than 2 consoles of any gaming generation. When I learned about this adapter, it was my opportunity to have high quality output from an HDMI cord while using my EarForce X12 headset so that audio directly from the TV while playing my 360 would not be a problem for anyone else in the room. It's also a very simple setup. Just plug the red and white audio plugs from a Turtle Beach headset into the adapter, then plug the adapter into the console where the AV cable would otherwise be plugged in.

IF YOUR TIRED OF GETTING BEHIND YOUR TV TO CONNECT YOUR TURLT BEACH HEADPHONE, THIS IS THE THING FOR YOU. EASILY CONNECTS AND IS A MUST HAVE IF YOUR TV IS NOT COMPATIBLE TO THE HEADPHONES. THE PRICE IS SOMETHING YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH IF YOU NEED IT.

Moved my son's Xbox 360 to his television, which does not have all of the audio inputs he needed. Both this adapter and now it works great.

Easy to use if you don't want to worry about hooking it up the other way. Should have gotten this a long time ago

If you're tired, of trying to get behind your TV to plug in your headphones, this makes it super easy to plug in.

If you don't want to take the grinder wheel or break open your current Xbox 360 cable this is a necessity.

This adapter was the perfect solution to hooking up my son's xBox 360 to his new Turtle Beach headphones and still use HDMI for picture quality. While you might be able to find a less expensive adapter online it might come from China and take a month. I wanted to be able to pick it up so this was the best solution for the time and money.

I needed this to make my head phones compatible with my 360 and it works great.

I had gotten some Turtle Beach Headphones so I could play and hear the games without bothering my roommate. I was using a 19" LCD TV HDMI and a 3.5mm audio port, and that worked fine but I was dependent on the TV-out for audio. The moment I started getting my audio straight from the XBox the sounds became much more alive. Now I feel as if Zombies are screaming over my left shoulder... which helps me aim faster.
