For a wireless gaming headset, it's pretty good. One major strength of this headset is the ability to connect it to your phone and console at the same type. I would be able to answer phone calls without having to take off the headset. On the down side, I must say that I found myself using the stereo setting much more than the surround sound setting. The surround sound of this headset just feels very underwhelming to me.

Worth every Penny!!!Turtle Beach finally out did themselves, Your getting a true surround sound with out bothering others. The quality of these headphones are really good. Doesn't bother me after playing two hours. No messy cables which is A+ for me!

The turtle beach elite 800's are by far the best quality of gaming headset I have bought. Before this I had a pair of stealth 400 turtle beaches. I have to admit, the headset I recently bought has a lot of cool features like, noise cancelling; Bluetooth pairing; built in mic; clear crisp audio; varying amounts of audio presets, etc. Moreover, the feedback I've received from others I play online with has been pretty good. Never any mic lag or issues with the hardware. Don't forget to pair the headset with the charging station before use. My one complaint would be the comfort level. After a few hours of gaming my head gets pretty sore and I need to take a break, or adjust to a different part of my head. All and all I really enjoy this headset. Worth every penny in my opinion.

If you're buying this for surround sound you might want to reconsider. Microsoft will soon be adding binaural audio to the Xbox operating system, including an option for Dolby Atmos for headphones. Binaural audio is the technology that makes it possible for the two speakers on this headset to work like eight speakers in a surround sound system. With support built in to the OS, any headset you plug into your controller is a surround sound headset, even a $10 set of earbuds. That said, this headset has more going for it than just surround sound: no wires, bluetooth support, noise cancellation, and great sound. If you don't have the patience to wait for the OS update the surround sound is great too, but given what's coming it shouldn't be your primary reason for purchase.

I like the headphones the only reason I gave it 4 stars because the pressure from the spring is so much after an hour or so useing them they start to hurt the ears unless I put a hat or something over my ears.
