was excited to have another pair. sound is great but. not to many settings you can adjust for shooter games. Its either ear blowing loud or faint footsteps. All in all a great headset. Just not Impressed as my old MW2 headsets! very comfortable and has no pops or cut outs so far. I enjoy them. the whole room seems to be quiet when I put them on!!!! So maybe wait till another version comes out. or get the geek squad two year warranty and you can always do a in-store trade in. always work for me!!!

I have tried pretty much every premium headset Best Buy has offered. The Turtlebeach 800x's are hands down awesome! Great sound, completely wireless! Also, make sure you buy the replacement warranty through Best Buy, best program around!

I have a hard time finding headsets I like. I love this headset. Easy to use charging stand, wireless, custom side plates (I chose Ghostrider), separate volume controls for chat and game sound, connects to my phone for calls, a great android app for control, great sound.

I've had various headphones for multiple uses, audiophile (Sennheizers), DJing (Pioneer) & custom ear buds, numerous earbuds for mp3 players, these are my 1st gaming wireless headphones. The sound reproduction is good out of the box. The noise cancellation is excellent, on par with Bose that I've had. I have not used the mic. The installed sound environments are good but can sound reflective (Cathedral setting on DSPs). I have not tweaked the settings as the ones it comes with work fine for me. The audio stream is seamless, I haven't had any stuttering or drop out even when I've run out the battery. Esthetically they are the best choice, IMO. The magnetic coupling to the recharge / signal base is strong making them look just like they do on the box all day long. Battery life is good and recharge rate is fast. The issues I do have is when I have a support for my head, (pillow, recliner). If I move the controls trigger and I change audio environments, switch on or off Blue Tooth, etc. They have not powered off as a result due to the 3-5 seconds you need to press the power button to trigger it. The other issue, which is common with full hear headphones is my ears tend to get hot, necessitating removal for a minute or two. I recognize full ear is needed for noise cancellation and I expected this issue when I bought them, but others may not have as much headphone experience as I have.

I’ve had both these and the Astro A50’s. These are far better for practical use than the Astros. Astros you have to plug the base unit into a pc, switch to pc mode, then pick your settings. You can’t even hear your settings as they’re being set. It’s like being blindfolded driving. These you can connect to your smartphone, accept calls while gaming, make calls, etc. The sound is as good if not better than the Astros. My only con is these are cheap. The cheap plastic holding everything together will break within a year if not sooner.

The first one i bought was defective, when i turn on the noise cancelling in the left side make vibrating noise. when i got the new one fron bestbuy. I really like it. The sound is crisp, with different sound settings. The best wireless blutooth headset i own in range ang batter life.

After unboxing the 800X headphones, I connected the transmitter/recharging hub to the console. No sound whatsoever. So I downloaded the Turtle Beach Ear Audio Hub from the Turtle Beach website. Following firmware updates to the hub and headphones, I hooked the hub to the console and absolutely perfect sound. So do yourself a favor, before hooking it up to the console. Just hook the hub and headphones using the usb cables to your PC or laptop and register your headphones, download the Turtle Beach Audio Hub and do the required firmware updates. It will save you a lot of stress. Also, the Audio Hub has built in profiles for the most popular games (i.e., COD, Destiny, etc.). These headphones are exceeding my expectations. They sound great. Watching movies is like being the center of the movie theater. The microphone works quite well especially if you set the microphone to quiet room. Also, you get a two year warranty from Turtle Beach when you register your headphones.

This headset is great for gaming but it also has its cons. I was such a big fan of turtle beach headsets but this one dissapointed me. This headset is excellent for shooters, like black ops 3, modern warfare, or rainbow six siege. Also these headsets can be used as bluetooth headphones which you can receive calls and answer them while gaming and hear audio from your phone while gaming. These headset can be used while your not home. Terrible for music, the bass isn't good at all... even a pair of skullcandy earbuds would do better job than these headsets. The noise cancellation feature doesn't work at all, you can hear any noise that is surrounding you. Now these headsets are not worth your 250$. If you compare this headset with a pair of astro a50 or a 40, the astro do a better job. These headset do the job of a 150$ headset not 250$. I also thought the reviews of this headset were lies but they were really honest. If you are interested on wasting 200- 300$ on an excellent headset buy astros. BUYERS BEWARE

For competitive gaming not better than astros but it has way more stuff that makes it better than astros. Example the Bluetooth, battery life, presets option and the fact you can use them to any device is definitely a plus. Astros only edge it by clearer sound in my opinion, by the way o previously owned the astros a40 and a50. You can't go wrong with either one though both top of the line headsets.

Little pricey, however setup was really easy and performance is fantastic. The sound quality from the headset is amazing. Good clear sound with really nice touch of bass without being muffled. Good battery run time. For the price you would expect everything that is delivered in this package.

I have no complaints about anything but it doesn't alway connect to my Xbox after turning it off and on again. Otherwise great sound and very comfortable

Got these to replace a different pair of turtle beach I had that were getting a bit old. Greatest gaming decision I've ever made, the sound is incredible, Mic works splendidly, and no wires!!!! The price is a bit much but if you're serious about gaming its worth every penny.

When I bought my PS4 I knew I was gonna need a good headset so I could play while my gf slept. The elite is by far the best headset available. It sounds amazing while I'm playing destiny. You can hear everything and where exactly it is and coming from. Chat is also very clear. The best part is it's wireless and doesn't come with a hideous tower that all the other good turtle beach headsets come with. Just a sleek charging dock. Last but not least, there is no boom mic so not only are they incredibly comfortable, there's no giant mic to adjust. Kudos turtle beach. Price is steep, but it's well worth it if you do a lot of online gaming.

If you just want to have headphones to quiet the tv and be immersed in great sound and every direction the noise from you game is coming, then these are perfect. I have issues with the mic, when it's working it's great. Went online and found out that a firmware update may be needed, did that and it worked great, could hear and talk back perfect. The next day it did not work again, could not talk or hear others. This is the problem I keep having, works one day and not the next. Don't really care though because I don't talk but do like to hear others.

One of the best headsets I have ever bought for gaming better than the Astros, it's complete wireless comes with a sexy charging stand. Looks good with the Xbox sounds great and the noise cancellation is on point plus the features it has are great.

Only had them for a couple of months, but the sound for games and movies is the best I've heard. I haven't used them for music so not sure on that. The buttons are sensitive; so that takes a little getting used too. Overall they are worth the price.

I have always had turtle beach headsets and these are by far the best ones they have ever made. I use them on both PS4 and Xbox One. They are more comfortable than previous models and now that they are wireless sound AND chat they can't be beat.

I had a hard time finding a headset that would fit properly. Most wouldn't go small enough to sit right. These headsets got all sizes! My husband and I each bought a set because of how well they work! So many setting options whether you are playing or watching a movie! The only downside is the price (obviously expensive, but worth it) and that you have to set them just right on the charger or they won't actually charge even though it looks like they are.

This headset is a defiantly upgrade from my old turtle beaches earforce x41. Don't have to buy batteries with the easy charging port. Also it includes bluetooth capabilities, allowing you to connect your phone to talk or listen to music.

I love how they feel on my head. They do start bother you after 5 hours. I like they style and the sound. The one thing I didn't like it that the dts 7.1 surround it says it uses for the ps4. Didn't live up to its expectations. It doesn't let me use dts. I also find that they are not that different from cheaper products. For the price you pay includes expect a more magnificent experience. But I was disappointed. I do still like these headphones. I'd recommend this product once the price drops.
