Customers value the superb sound quality and comfortable fit of the Elite Atlas Wired Stereo Gaming Headset for PC. While some found the headset to be somewhat heavy and noted minor issues with microphone performance and volume levels, the positive feedback on audio quality and comfort outweighs these concerns. Many also appreciate its compatibility with multiple platforms and its reasonable price point.

The headphones, frankly were pretty awesome. Comfy, great speakers, pretty good mic on them... then they just randomly broke. I took them off and my left headphone lay limp in my hand. I've never dropped them nor have I mishandled them. I don't have the retail box any longer, and it's been 17 months since I purchased them otherwise I'd return them. I probably won't be revisiting my relationship with Turtle Beach again, as a complete break like this without any kind of reason leaves a terrible taste in my mouth.

Sounds and mic quantity is great. That's the two stars.
Huge build quality issues. We have three of these.
One lost the sound in one ear and was replaced under warranty.
The two others have both broken in the exact same spots. One of them has actually broken on both side, yet in the exact same manner and location.
My recommendation is to stay away from these. Find something with better build quality. That's what I'm trying to do.

One pain lasts a year, replacement barely 4 months

I bought my original par of these in August of 2019 and I loved them, they served me faithfully for over a year. However after covid hit that meant I was working from home more and thus using them more. The head set has never been mishandled, as never dropped and when not on my ears or around my neck they were held in my hands on sitting down on a flat surface.
Just over a year after I purchased them the plastic above the ear rest and direct below the metal headband snapped. I was sad but I had an extended warranty so I got them replaced with the same exact pair. I continued the same pattern of use I had since I was still working from home (again no mishandling or dropping) and here we are just over 4 months later and the exact same piece has cracks going almost completely around the circumference of the plastic, thus putting them in danger of breaking in the exact same way.
This, to me, means that i either have one HUGE head that this headset is being stretched to the point of excess fatigue, or more then likely this piece of plastic is thin, low quality, and designed around minimal use. So with this experience I would say if you happen to want a headset you can use regularly do NOT get this one.

Great replacement for Turtle Beach Z-22

My Turtle Beach Z-22 bit the dust after about 4 to 6 years (broke just above one earpiece). The Elite Atlas Wired Stereo Gaming Headset fits more comfortably over my ears, blocks extraneous noise, and seems to be sturdier above the earpiece than the Z-22. I use the headset for music as well as for listening to computer conducted continuing education classes. The microphone on this headset plugs in to the headset and I am reluctant to remove / reinsert the microphone on a constant basis. The microphone on the Z-22 could be bent out of the way whereas the microphone on this headset has limited motion. An advantage to this unit over the Z-22 is that this unit only requires two jacks (headphones, microphone), whereas the Z-22 required a USB connection - this unit frees up the USB connection.

These are great headphones. Wired is better so that you don't run out of batteries at an inconvenient time. The sound is awesome, but I found the audio was louder and brighter when connected to the Xbox One controller with Turtle Beach's adapter (a $40 upgrade). I kind of wish the cans slid to be more adjustable, but I found that they fit my (large) head perfectly. I like that the mic is a bendable wire that can be moved out of the way or removed entirely. Bottom line: the sound makes these perfect for gaming! I bought another set for my daughter and she loves them on her Xbox and her computer.

I use this headset on Xbox one, PS4, and Nintendo Switch, (no pc).
Now let me tell u, wow, hands down amazing, sound is A+, perfect solid bass, (not that muddy beats kinda bass), mid and highs are spot on as well. Mic works great on Xbox one (haven’t tried on PS4 or switch) I really appreciate good well rounded sound, and these really do the trick.
Also very very comfortable, ear pads are so soft and breathable, headband makes the headset feel like it floating (not heavy at all like stated in previous review) A little bit of sound bleed a max vol, not much.
Don’t hesitate to buy these, great headset at a great price. (And I tested many headsets out from Astro, turtle beach, to planteonics and more in this price range)
———add on———-
I also just purchased the turtle beach audio controller (the thing that connects to the Xbox one controller) and it make it even better, I didn’t think that would be possible, but wow!
You won’t regret a purchase of these.
Enjoy!

Very well made product. Sound quality is excellent. Everything about them screams high quality. Very comfortable to wear.
Installation was simple - plug in two jacks and it works.
Biggest mistake I made was switching from wired to wireless. I got the Logitech G930 wireless headset and the battery wouldn't charge anymore after a years use.
Highly recommend this headset.
I've had issues before with the in-line volume control on wired headsets where they stop working or create feedback when you use them. We'll see how this one holds up. Based on the quality I'm hoping it won't happen.

Very comfortable when worn for long periods, lots of sound clarity, especially when used with dolby atmos, but sometimes feels like it should be able to get a little louder when it's at max volume. The ear cup channels for your glasses are awesome (I never realized how much discomfort my glasses cause when wearing headphones), and the microphone sounds super clear.

Good sound, but not good for XBOX party chat

I really like this headset, because it's comfortable and it delivers good sound. It enabled me to be able to pinpoint enemy shots and footsteps when playing Blackout.
The only issue that I don't like is that when playing in a party, the people in the party hears echo which is caused by my headset. I verify that by going to the party chat screen on Xbox. I would stay quiet while my party mates are talking, and I would still see my profile light up as if I am talking. Not cool. Even with the setting recommended to turn down game volume didn't help. If you turn it down more - under 75% - it gets really quiet which doesn't make sense playing quiet on these kind of headset.
But if you play by yourself, then this is pretty decent.

I'm kinda a headset snob. I've tried various headsets for comfort being high on the priorities followed by sound quality. Turtle Beach brand headsets are hit and miss depending on the model. The Atlas PC headset is amazing. Solid construction, soft ear cups that are comfortable for hours, excellent sound quality. I dont were them, but eyeglass users rejoice, they even put an eyeglass channel in the ear cups. The only draw back is that the cord is too short for my taste. But you can get an extension cord that solves that issue.

At first I wasnt sure about these, but after using them for about a week and messing with some of the settings I came to like them a lot.
They don't have the best bass for music but with gaming they are very crisp. Plus, it's great that I can also use them with my ps4.

So after buying my Son the Turtle Beach Elite Pro headset and trying it out and both of us Loving them I had to get a new pair of Turtle Beach's for myself. So when I had seen they came out with the Elite Atlas headset it was kind of a no brainier for me as I will be switching to PC gaming and the headset works with PS4 and PC I couldn't pass it up and the price was perfect. I have recommended these headsets to everyone I know that plays. Video games. I have always Used Turtle Beach gear with my first ever headset being the Turtle Beach PX21 and then my brother and myself both got the Turtle Beach Stealth 500p and LOVED those also. I will always Game with Turtle Beach stuff b/c they really are the BEST out for gaming gear. :)

Best Headset I ever Owned

This is an excellent headset and is made really solid. At the time of this I have owned it 1 week. It has very good sound and can be worn a long time with no ear issues. Very large soft foam pads for the ears and great sound. I play COD Warzone and can hear footsteps and shuffling clearly and it has improved my gameplay a ton from my 10 year old headset I had. I didn't want to pay $100 for a headset, but this one is really worth it.
I was also very impressed by the box it came in and the letter included about quality etc. I appreciate the extra care and the special feeling you get when open this box, like someone really cared making this product. Excellent!

Best Mobile Headset 2019

After purchasing over $3000 in various headsets from various manufacturers including Astro A40TR's , SteelSeries Pro Wireless, Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Wireless, Turtle Beach Elite Atlas and even a pair of Bose Quiet Comfort 35 Wireless headphones, I can confidently say I know the best mobile headset for PUBG Mobile. I am a business professional and mobile gamer and I demanded the best headset my money could buy. The results shocked me! After enabling the microphone function in PUBG, even the $330 Steel Series Pro Wireless had a HUGE loss in game audio.. Same goes for the Turtle Beach Stealth 700's. Astro A40's sounded decent enough, but the earpiece design is terrible. If you're head is as big as your ego like mine is... the winner was Turtle Beach Elite Atlas. The build quality and design are phenomenal in this headset. Simple design brought AMAZING results. With microphone enabled there was ZERO loss in game audio quality or volume. Now I'm usually aiming at the bush I hear the last person "snaking" through at the end, waiting for my next chicken dinner!

This headset is super comfortable, and very reliable. The cans cover your ear perfectly, and feel great even after long sessions. These provide great sound for gaming, and the detachable mic is a great feature. The 3.5mm headphone/microphone jack cord is high quality, and there is a splitter included if you need it. I've only had them a few weeks so I can't comment on long term durability, but I suspect they will continue to be great. Awesome product, and for $80 (on sale) you can't beat it.

As a college instructor, I was teaching online this summer. After unhappy ears with the cheap headphones, I decided I needed an upgrade. The salesperson knew just what I needed in the gaming department.
These have a tab that removes the padding so my glasses are comfortable to wear. I can use these for several hours without my ears hurting. My lectures are clear for my students to follow along.
Great headphones!

I understand not everyone has 100 dollars to throw towards a headset, but trust me I've used several in this price range and none have come close to the comfort and sound quality that the Elite Atlas, brings to the table. If they are good enough for the 2xTime back to back Blockbuster gaming champion Dr.DisRespect they are good enough for me. And trust me Turtle Beach is killing it with these and you won't regret getting these even if you like myself wear glasses.
