This headset doesn't sound awful, but your better off paying more and getting a quality headset if you want actual good surround sound. I ended up returning for a pair of Arctis 7x

No fancy audio adjustments available but it does what it needs to as far as providing a loud volume but any adjustments need to be made thru Xbox menu. Good thing is it didn't require any charging.
